Really? It hasn't been too long for me. Whale Whores last season made me laugh as much as last night's (if not more) and I thought the Tiger Woods episode was pretty hilarious. That may have been due to the fact that I had like 10 people over to watch it since it was the premiere and you typically laugh more in groups.

Anyways this how this season has gone for me so far.

1. Sexual Healing: Pretty hilarious episode. Favorite parts were the Tiger Woods vs. Elin video game and the group of celebrities Kyle and Butters became a part of. 8/10

2. The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs: Pretty sick but funny episode. Favorite parts were Morgan Freeman doing the audiobook and the game show seeing how long you could read without throwing up. 7/10

3. Medicinal Fried Chicken: Also very sick and twisted but funny episode. Favorite parts were the men all bouncing around to that ridiculous music and Cartman dealing illegal chicken with the Colonel. 7.5/10

4. You Have 0 Friends: Favorite episode of the season by far. I have a facebook myself and use it often, but I've never understood people why some people try to get as many friends as possible or what the appeal of farmville is, so this episode really hit home for me. The kid that had 0 friends getting Kyle as a "friend" and acting like they were bffs was my favorite part. When he went to the movie "with" Kyle I was cracking up. Him sharing popcorn and taking pictures with his laptop, classic. 9.5/10

Can't help but notice how they're cursing more now. Haven't watched the Uncensored Episodes yet but ain't all that fussed actually as I think it's funnier when the cursing is bleeped out.

Not me! I was annoyed with the Terrence & Philip thing at the time. If they didn't continue with yesterdays episode, I will be pissed.

But I don't think they would do that. If anything, it felt more like a "season ending cliffhanger". Either way, last night's episode was hilarious.

Ramplate

The last time they had a cliff hanger, they royally pissed off the viewers, maybe they're gonna screw with us again like that :D

the other cliff hanger was the Cartman Paternity mystery (His mom is his father lol)

Statement from Matt and Trey:
“In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.”

hollywoodtanman
04-28-2010, 10:42 PM
well they probably didn't feel like starting more controversy considering everything already going on.

And they don't usually do too many episodes with "messages" in a row. So after they made a big deal of controversy from last week's episode I figured they would just go with something really stupid and simple...and that's exactly what they did.

I thought it was pretty funny, definitely not as good as 200 or 201, but still funny.

I agree. The title cards were hilarious and to say that reading them was boring is a little dumb. There were like two sentences each time, it's not like they were making us read an entire paragraph. It took a few seconds to read each one, if that.

And among me and my friends that watch South Park we all agree that the first Towlie episode is one of the funniest, this one wasn't nearly as funny. But it wasn't awful. I think everyone's expectations were just too high after 200 and 201

I have to disagree with you. I haven't laughed that much in a long time and I thought it was going to be a lame episode when I heard it involved Nascar. How often do we get Kenny playing the role of Kyle going after Cartman? Never. Do I want more of this formula? Yes.

The actual plot of hording was kind of.. eh, and I know if the episode starred Cartman it could have been so much more clever. Man, this run of episodes so far has pretty much completely sucked. Especially this recent "trilogy" arc. Damn.

Does anyone else feel like Matt and Trey don't really care about the show anymore? I remember them talking about wanting to move on from South Park several years ago and I think now may be the time. It is becoming almost SNL like. Week to week it is like "Oh ****, South Park is doing Jersey Shore!" or "Oh man, South does the oil spill, what's gonna happen!?" but their social and political commentary has become weak and they don't appear to have much important or interesting to say. If the show isn't it funny, it doesn't matter if they rip into Jersey Shore or Lebron James or Justin Bieber. They should end it before it reaches Family Guy levels of pop culture reliance.

I didn't like that at all. I felt that they were leading us on into thinking that there was gonna be some better explanation as to why Kenny is immortal and why his friends never remember him dying in the first place.

But alas, all we can assume now is because of a result of the parents being in those cult parties, but no explanation as to what happened then or why.

Sigh! Oh well.

Sigh! Oh well.

you don't need any further explanation than that, his parents participated in cult parties

there you go, mystery solved, all the explanation you need.

Actually, I was hoping for a better or clever explanation. The end result was a bit of a letdown for me. Thats all.

Am I asking for too much, sure of course. But I'm always gonna be that way, and expect a lot from all my favorite shows.... even cartoons. Most times, I'm satisfied with the episodes of South Park thankfully, but last weeks episode was "meh" to me.

I'd say this is pretty spot on. Compare the Imaginationland trilogy to this recent one and it's not even close in laughs or plot. All of these new episodes are funny, they still have laugh out loud moments and all but the storylines are really reaching now aside from the Jersey shore one. The whole hoarding concept from the Inception one is just like.. that's the best you could do with a movie that has numerous spoof possibilities? I think you're right, I think Trey and Matt are getting tired of all the crap they get from Viacom, especially in wake of episodes 200 and 201 and seem to be taking it out on the show by making it resort to cheap Family Guy laughs. I'm hoping for the season finale to go out with a bang, and that they come back with episodes that are clever again.

South Park has been really lacking as of late and I'm hoping for the best when the new shows start. I can't help but think that the recent episodes were effected by their Broadway Show, which I know they said was a passion project of theirs for years.

Their broadway show could be one factor. I just hope that they aren't going to shy away from the hard topics this season just because of that mohamed BS from last season. Man faces sentence for online 'South Park' threat

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) — Federal prosecutors are seeking more than 12 years in prison for a Muslim convert from Brooklyn who pleaded guilty to posting online threats against the creators of the "South Park" television show.

Sentencing is scheduled Friday in Alexandria, Va., for Jesse Curtis Morton, who founded the now-defunct Revolution Muslim website. Earlier this year, he admitted using the site as an outlet for al-Qaida propaganda. He also conspired with another man to deliver a thinly veiled threat to the creators of the "South Park" television show for perceived insults to the prophet Muhammad.

Defense attorneys are asking for a prison term of less than five years.

The other defendant in the case, Zachary Chesser, got a 25-year sentence, but he also tried to travel to Somalia to join the al-Shabab militant group.
