Call it spam or what you want to call it. But I'm all for bringing up indy artists and helping out, and my cousin's band is one of them that has been around for quite sometime and have tons of exposure, but I might as well bring them more. They aren't just some crap independent metal band that doesn't have good recordings, because they do have good recordings. They have spent lots of money to get into good recording studio's and have some MP3's up on the net now. They are very hard hitting and have some good rhythms too. My cousin Brady is the vocalist, and he sings and screams both, which appeals to me pretty well. I like that sort of thing. It might not be everyone's cup of beer but oh well. For those of you who don't like real hard stuff, I would recommend the song "Lifeline" the most, and its probably their best anyhow. I would appreciate it if you all would check them out, and sorry mods if you don't like this but its music and its in the music section. ;) :P Oh, and by the way, Brock you may as well come in here and plug your friend's death metal band. I don't mind. :)

They're not bad. I'm not really into too much "nu-metal" but they're better than most bands today. Although if one thing I think they should scream a little less

Yeah, it does go. They are a heavy metal band signed to an independent label. Pretty simple if you ask me...

Coz Indie is a clasification of music and then so is Hard Metal, Pop, Rock and R&B. Coldplay are Indie, Athlete's new album is very Indie, Counting Crows seem quite Indie.

Actually, no. Indie stands for independant, as in independant music labels. It's a classification for bands that are signed to much smaller labels, and their sound doesn't sound as "polished" as bands who have larger label backings - maybe you could say that's an "indie sound", more crude and less slick than major label bands. I'd hardly call Coldplay an indie band when they share a label with such high label acts like Gorillaz, Paul McCartney and The Beastie Boys, to name a few. The Counting Crows? Yeah, okay, they're signed to Geffen I believe - THAT MUST MAKE ASHLEE SIMPSON IN THE INDIE SCENE TO.
"Indie" the term is a reflection of a label thing, really. They're "Independant", without the big studio backing.

Ashlee Simpson, POP.
Paul McCartney, these days, yeah kinda Indie.
Gorillaz, HELLO! Did you listen to there album? Defiantly Indie.
If you ask Coldplay if they are an Indie band they’ll agree with you that they are.

I'm sure they wouldn't, being on major labels. Indie = Independant Labels. They're all on major labels, and therefore can not be independant in any way, shape, or form.
