Okay, so I've heard all these stories about people on this forum meeting up. So here's my question...Is there anyone form Adelaide here? Or Near Adelaide, as I don't technically live here yet myself.

Potter

I wouldn't say it's boring. It's just...samller than the rest. It's a LOT less boring than where I actually live. Wanna see boring? Go there. Where I live, not Adelaide.

Does anyone actually LIVE there?

Adelaide is where all the criminals go to hide out.

well in honesty the whole of australia is a prison :P

Potter

Well that's not fair. We're not all criminals, you know. As a metter fo fact, quite a few convicts were shiped to America as well. Australia is not a convict collony anymore.

That's incredibly offensive, whether it was a joke or not.

I've noticed.

All I wanted to know is whether there was anyone who used this forum that lived in Adelaide.

Its also known as the city of churches isnt it? Maybe. It does have a nice looking cricket ground.

And for the record Perth is the dullest city in Australia. (I still think its great though)

i wouldn't have any idea if its called the city of churches or not. There is quite a few of them, though.

I'm in Brisbane too - great city (much better more interesting than out in the rural area I came from), and you're right, having the theme parks close by is great. I'd like to visit Adelaide though, but would never be interested in living there.

I love Brisbane. I hear there's a new theme park opening up on the Bruce Highway on the way to the Sunshine Coast. Has it been completed yet?

And I also hear there's a new ride at Dreamworld now.

The new theme park on the way to the Sunshine Coast you are talking about may be another Wet'n'Wild water park that is planned, but nothing has started yet I don't think.

And the most recent ride at Dreamworld is The Claw, which is a great ride and is really fun, especially at night. But Dreamworld is planning to build a new childrens area based on the Wiggles (which I couldn't care less about, I just want a big thrill ride.)

I love theme parks - I have an annual pass to both Movie World and Dreamworld. And I am really looking forward to when the Superman rollercoaster opens at Movie World later this year.

I live in Newcastle which is pretty boring. Probably the most exciting thing I've ever seen is Natalie Imbrulia or wateva and that silverchair dude walking down the street together.
Dreamworld ROX!!! i love the giant drop it goes up really high! ive been to all the theme parks up there.
Well anyway, back to my hometown. Well if anyone meets up it will have to be in Sydney coz thats a cool town. My ex went to adelaide and he said that there were a lot of immigrant people and deros asking people for money and performing with the hats for the money.

I like the lethal weapon i went right up the front and when i walked into the photo store the guy was like "oh here she is!!" and everyone was laughing at me because i saw my photo and OMG it was funny! i was all red. it was the first time i had been in the front seat of the lethal weapon and i nearly died! The Claw gave me a headache really bad and made me sick. So did lethal weapon because i had my hair in a ponytail and my head was bashing on the thing that goes down over your head.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i hated wet n wild it was the lamest theme park. all it is is water slides and it was really boring. Well maybe i just didnt like it because we went when it was pouring down rain it was aweful! After a few rides i just ran over to the showers and turned the hot water tap on, no cold and just stood there for half an hour.

I think it was called that cause it was formed by Christians or something. Gee, we are all grande at Aussie history aren't we :p (and I'm meant to be a History Major :|)

Nah, I'm from Sydney, but I'd LOVE to go to Adelaide soon, when I get rich ;) Heaps of people I know go there or have been there and really love it.

Yeh well its forgivable - its not like we live in adelaide :)

Talking about being grande about history - upuntil recently I thought Australia Day was celebrating cooks first landing at botany bay. (It took a calender to remind me otherwise)

Its amazing how quickly you forget what school teaches ye.
