No word on the content, but the ABC television network in the U.S. will undoubtedly show lots of footage, including bits of the trailer, when it debuts Chamber of Secrets on Saturday, May 7, with special interstitials about the fourth film.

Full teaser trailer online Monday, Sunday at the earliest
Apparently, bits of the trailer will be shown during ABC's broadcast of Chamber of Secrets, but the full Goblet of Fire theatrical teaser trailer won't be available online until Monday, May 9th, where it will debut on Apple.com. However, WB says the trailer will go up on satellite on Sunday, so if someone captures it and converts it, we could have it a day earlier.

I wonder how fast this movie would seem in the end, because there so many scenes that do need to the shown. And to me, even POA seemed fast which had lesser action and storyline.

I understand that books and films are two different things, everyone wanting the motion picture to be more true to the written word, but I can't just imagine how could they get essential (big) scenes into a 150 minutes movie, plus that they would have to add some little scenes to make the movie work.

Personally, I'm glad SPEW isn't making it (I assume it isn't). To me, that was the biggest waste of time in reading the book. That whole chapter, to me, could have been dropped from the book without losing anything.

And to be honest, I hope they drop *most* of Grawp from OotP. I have the feeling he'll be dropped entirely.

On another note - does anyone wonder if Harry's parseltongue will come back into play ever? Just wondered when watching last night - it hasn't been brought up since, but if some things in CoS are harbingers of HBP....never know.

For me, SPEW was great. Yet another example of Hermione's dedication to what she does. I hate that in POA they didn't show how many classes she was taking and that she managed to find time to help Hagrid with Buckbeak's trial.

Grawp is (along the whole giants and half-giants story) the only element that I could spare from the book.

They would release a teaser trailer and increase the desire to have the film. When they see that this desire is becoming a routine, they would release the full trailer.

You know I really doubt they are going to be able to keep the Dobby off screen and here are some reasons why. Caution Some Spoilers

#1. I believe that they have to the other elf into the movie her name really escapes me at the moment because the elf is the one that is holding Harry's wand when the Dark Mark is created.

#2. It is Dobby that helps Harry with the Golden Egg project.

Now don't get me wrong they may get rid of the Whole Sp storyline but that doesn't mean we won't see Dobby in the film

Besides some minor changes to the plot--the color of Hermionie's dress, the robes, stuff like that.... OH MY FREAKING GOD. I nearly pissed myself silly! This movie... the music blending John Williams and the other music (I know it from somewhere, I wanna say LOTR but I don't think that is where I heard it), its making me even more excited. I paused it when the Beaxubatons people are coming through the doors, and Madame Maxine doesn't look at all like I pictured her. She looks like one of the people from the NeverEnding Story. Anyway, the movie looks amazingly fantastic!!

yeah it will be in but it wont be that long Harry Stressed over the egg for a good few pages if i recall so it will prolly just be a single scene

I'm kind of glad it doesn't give much of the plot away. Fans of the book have read it and know what its about, and the trailer is good cause it tells the people who just watch the movie, whats gonna happen in it, without spoiling them with anything else.

Really love the trailer, but....what have they done with the great hall! It's small! Look at the clip where the foreign students come walking in. It really looks alot smaller.
I love the beginning, with them growing up. It's so great. It just shows how unique these movies are...

I have to agree with you, Jacobje, on the great hall. It has always been small in the movies, but in POA the size was even smaller! The Hall should have been larger because there are about 840 students at Hogwarts.

Well, the dude who is doing the music for the film is the guy who did the music for Sense and Sensibility and Much Ado About Nothing--both fantastic music.

Anyway, I think the score for this movie is going to totally rock. I cannot wait to buy it. I do hope the guy reprises 'A Window to the Past' somewhere in there a bit.
