I thought this was pretty neat. I was surfing on www.spiderfan.org and stumbled across this in an advertisement.

Amazing Spider-Man on CD (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0006Q7FEM/qid=1103609993/sr=8-4/ref=pd_csp_4/104-3425864-0127927?v=glance&s=videogames&n=507846)

At first I did a double take. 11 discs? This thing must be pretty damn expensive! But I was wrong, only $35 on Amazon and $50 nearly everywhere else. That's a hell of a deal.

Although, I wish it included some issues of Spectacular and the Secret Wars since plot points like the death of Harry Osborne and the finding of the symbiote will be left off screen. However, I'm not about to look a gifthorse in the mouth. If this sells well, who knows what they'll release in the future.

This will be great for losers like me who don't have enough time or money to track down every issue of Spider-Man.

If I had money, I'd buy it. Though I'm a big Batman fan. If only they had a set like this for Batman comics.....

I have it , it's incredible .

It's the actual scans of the comics too , all the ads and the letter pages from cover to cover. The older issues are even ripped , have library and pawn shop stamps on them , Rusty staple marks and some even have old yellow tape marks.Very cool indeed.
It's not like the original Marvel sets these guys put out where it was the archived art done with computerized coloring. These are the real deal.
The work here is amazing , there are some gripes tho, No annuals and the storylines that are crossed over are not included , just the "Amazing" title .
The big sell for me tho was the Ads , some of the coolest ads ever are in old comics and they are all here , it's cool seeing the ads go from "Atari all the way up to PS2" .lol.

The price is incredible too.
It's as close to reading classic comics without the musty smell.

For those cheap bastards out there , every issue from this is available in .pdf file from a few P2P sites.

If you want to sample the product I can send a specific issue to whoever wants one on MSN as well.
