Man... taking the road of self-publishing is quite a risky one. But, as a partisan of the publishing profession (and having tried my hand at writing with various degrees of failure and success), I know how difficult it is to get your work published and recognised.

I wish him luck. I hope he turns out to be the Matthew Reilly of the fantasy world :)
