Picture this:

You have been looking forward to the movie "xxxxxxxxx" for months, say I, Robot (as it was for me). Then you check all the good cinemas which you usually go to (not sure how it is at your place, but in oslo there is alot of cinemas), and they are all sold out. So you go to another cinema, which you are not familear with. The movie starts. What happens? Yes, i'll tell you. Some dick behind me Answers his cell phone and doesnt hang up....NO, he actually starts a conversation. Not loud, but loud enough for me to lose focus on the movie and start listening to the conversation. I say "shhhhhhhh", he says "shut the **** up". I was thinking like "ohhh, ok, better stay out of trubble. I'm not on friendly ground here". Then after like 30 minutes in the film there is a dude 2 rows in front of me that actually pics up his phone and MAKES a phone call. Oh.....my......god. Is that actually possible? Anyway, next time I go to a cinema like that i'll be sure to bring this:

!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only 170 punds. Not to bad :) And well worth the money.

Good idea for the cinema but its £169.99, for that money I would rather go and tell the staff at the to get out the person on the phone.

I hate it when people go to the cinema to have a conversation

The cell phone jammer cannot be sold to UK customers

Cost: £169.99

So it isn't available to UK customers but the price is in Pounds, what the hell is going on?

When my friend and I saw American Wedding, this jackass two rows ahead brought his three kids. Now, it was not the first time I saw the film, but regardless. The theater wasn't full either. So mid-movie, these little bastard kids start to run amock. They are treating the theater like its track and field. The kids are chasing each other up the isles and around the back, then back down and around the front. And where is the father? Doing jack about it. Eventually the oldest kid gets up to put a stop to this, but all he ends up doing is chasing the kids to get them back to their seats. And the worst part was that no one said anything besides me. "What is this a friggin zoo? Watch your children for Christs sake." God, it was the worst.

I wish they could develop some kind of "kid-Jammer" :D

Would be perfect. Not to mention a "jackass-Jammer" :)

I don't have to deal with those kind of people. My brother works at the theater, so not only do I get to see movies for free whenever I want, but we do private screenings. Ya know, to keep out trash like that.

I'm glad I have never had someone use a cell phone during a movie

I think an effective item would be a baseball bat. Grab the phone and smash it with the bat or hit the person with the bat.

I can just picture it. One "innocent" guy pics up his cell phone and talks. And there i get up, mad as a horse and grabs his phone and just bashes it into tiny pieces with a bat. And then just quiet sits down like nothing happend and watches the movie :D

You know I feel your pain dude... I really do... I HATE RUDE (IGNORANT) PEOPLE with a passion... It's times like that when I'm glad I'm a cop... I know it's not how I 'm suppose to handle situations... but it's a superb bonus to the job... That cell phone Jammer is a GREAT idea... I'm GOING to buy one... ooooh I would just love it!

i want a phone jammer. I owuldn't use it in the cinema, since that is not really a problem, i would use it in my lectures. I am so sick of people answering their phone when we are trying to work.

people in lecture halls think that if you put your phone in your jacket sleeve and talk through the fabric you get away with it. As if. We can all hear them. And it is worse, our lecture halls are designed so that the lecturer can hear you from the front, even if you are in the back of it. Great acustics, i love it.

the worst use of mobile phones was during one of my end-of-term tests when someone actually started talking during the test. everyone looked around at this girl and wondered if she was braindead.

And it is not just cinemas and sttuff that this happens in. You would be surprised how many people talk on their phones at the theatre. I was shocked. It is distracting not only for the audience, but for the actors.

Much more offensive, in my opinion, is the amount of cell phones that go off in church. Since 2002, i have had maybe one or two masses (i go nearly every sunday) where it has not had a cell phone interruption. The worst part is that everytime people will let it ring for a minute instead of just turning it off.

Haha I was gonna say church too.

I was sitting at mass a couple months ago, and the guy next to me had his cell phone go off. He got up and talked outside, and I was mad he didn't turn it off. So he comes back and no more than 5 minutes later his beeper goes off. Man, I would be mad, but imagine how God feels too. ;)

The first time it happened in mass, the priest was like, yeah that better be jesus, every other time now he just rolls his eyes

one time at the movie theatere my friends were being complete asses they come in in the middle of the movie screaming my name and run up the isles laughing loudly and acting obnoxious this went on for about 10 minutes before they started to run around they then knocked over my drink and it spilled all over me and their seats. so i actually got up and told an employee and he came back there and had a talk with them. till this day i stand by the fact i wasnt overreacting

Cell phones are one thing, but everytime I go to the theater, no matter where I sit, there's always some retard behind me who can't keep his feet off of my chair. My look of death usually works, if not I lean back really fast into the chair and bump him! One guy tried to be really secret about it and put his feet onto my chair slowly, but everytime he took them off he did it fast and I literally fell backwards. I was about to grab his shoe and throw it down the aisle.

I was actually thrown out of a theatre once because I started a fight with a guy sitting right next to me that was yakking away on his cel phone. I was already having a bad day, and I was hoping that going to the movies would help some...and it probably would've, if it hadn't been for that *******. No one said anything, but I think, deep down, they were either cheering me on, or thanking themselves for not talking on their own cel phones...

Well, nothing pisses me off more than being totally engrossed in a movie, and then someone's cel phone rings...and they never answer it right away...oh no...they let it ring and ring..and ring..and ring...and they my total focus and concentration was ruined. I remember it happened during both Fellowship of the Ring and the Two Towers...it wasn't either one of those movies that I got into the fight in though...don't even remember what film that was..though when it happened during those, I was really tempted...

their should be a fine if ur phone goes off in the cinema. that'll deter ppl. i'd also suggest a huge bouncer (e.g frizzo) at the door to pummle any little **** that leaves his/her phone on.

I think I actually read somewhere that some cinemas have installed scramblers (like the ones mentioned earlier) inside every theatre in the cinema, to keep people from using thier phones. They work in the lobby and such, but as soon as they enter the individual theatres, their phones don't work. I'd certainly like to see something like that implemented on a larger scale....oh..and a big ass bouncer. (e.g. me. ;))

redman

hehehe theres always room for extra enforcement.

that scrambler would be kewl.
