Batman Beyond Screenplay

[Triligors film]

As some of you know, currently I am working on James Bond Jr. this is my previous screenplay. It's rated PG-13. Also, these two projects will eventually come out to theaters, due to the fact that I am one of the film makers will never give up until he works in Hollywood. Triligors is my own movie productions, kind of like my Happy Maddision productions (that's Sandler's film company). But, back to Batman Beyond.... below I have posted the screenplay in it's entirety, 130 pages..... thus, I have constructed this message board quite differently, the board does not have the screenplay section. Also, you can reply with questions or comments, just like the previous board- but, now you also have a reviewer's board at the top. Most importantly the board has "scene titles" in which if you have to take a break from reading it, all you need to do is write down the title and start right where you left off..... this is Kevin signing off, enjoy the movie.

INT. DARK WAREHOUSE

The camera zooms in through a spinning fan to reveal a woman being held prisoner- and in the center of the room were two thugs smoking and playing cards-

THUG1
Hey- go check on her will you?

Thug2 walks up to the woman and checks, she was still alive-

WOMAN
Batman will save me!!!!

THUG2
Batman will save you? Batman?
(laughs)

EXT. ROOF OF DARK WAREHOUSE

Batman was running along the roof in a new modified costume, the Batman Beyond costume-

INT. DARK WAREHOUSE

The woman looks towards the guards frantically and then she see’s Batman staring down towards her from the roof above- and he tells her to be quiet- the Thug2 looks towards her-

THUG2
What is it?

The thug2 walks towards her and then he looks up as Batman punches through the glass- and he lands

BATMAN
Your worst nightmare-

THUG2
It’s the bats!!!!!!

Batman stays there staring forward- breathing hard

THUG2
No problem- it’s just an old man

Thug2 punches Batman in his gut, and Batman falls to the ground shaking, he was having a heart attack- Thug2 takes out his gun and prepares to shoot-

THUG2
Well, if you are Batman- I’ll be doing this city a favor wouldn’t I?

EXT. STREETS OF GOTHAM CITY

See police cars zooming down the streets- and then you see the warehouse in the distance.

INT. DARK WAREHOUSE

Thug1 was now observing the old man-

THUG1
I say- we see who’s behind that mask-

Thug1 rips the mask off of Batman, to reveal an old man- Bruce Wayne.

THUG2
Look who it is- the millionaire.

THUG1
Money can’t buy everything Bruce-

THUG2
What do we do?

THUG1
Tie him up- the people of Gotham might not care about her- but, Bruce Wayne will start a city panic-
(smiles)

EXT. STREETS OUTSIDE OF THE DARK WAREHOUSE

The police cars arrive- and an older Police Commisioner Gordan steps out- and puts him the communication horn-

GORDAN
Come out and put your hands up-

INT. DARK WAREHOUSE

THUG2
What do we do?

THUG1
What do you think we do? We have Bruce Wayne don’t we?
(slyly motions over towards Bruce)
They won’t do anything stupid.
(slyly smiles out of arrogance)
They’ll never be able to kill us- not now.

EXT. STREETS OUTSIDE OF THE DARK WAREHOUSE

GORDAN
I repeat- come out with your hands in the air-

THUG1 (OC)
We don’t think so- you see we have one of your best friends in here- Bruce do you want to say hi to Gotham City?

INT. DARK WAREHOUSE

THUG 2
Talk damn it!!!!

Thug2 punches the tied up Bruce Wayne in the gut- and he screams out in pain.

EXT. STREETS OUTSIDE OF THE DARK WAREHOUSE

Gordan was off of the communication horn and looking over towards the police men-

GORDAN
Ok- I want you to use tactics- the plan is simple, sneak your way into the warehouse- and put down the threat- understood?

POLICE1
What’s our method of entry?

GORDAN
I would say the roof is one of our best bets- okay men, go in and take all necessary precautions- make sure the hostages do not get hurt-

INT. DARK WAREHOUSE

Thug1 is staring towards Bruce Wayne, smiling and nodding in great glory-

THUG1
We’re going to be rich my morning- real rich, come on-

THUG2
What is it?

THUG1
What do you think? Old man Bruce, came through the roof- the police are going to do the same thing- and there is where we’ll hit them-

THUG2
I thought you said that they wouldn’t try to kill us!!!

THUG1
No- I never said that, what I said was- they’ll never kill us- we have Bruce in range- don’t we? They fire, we fire- easy game of the hostage and the terrorist- a game of cat and mouse. One that the police always fail-

THUG2
Unless Batman shows up-

Bruce looks towards them, he knew they thought he wasn’t Batman- even he himself, was wishing Batman would show up- but, it was no use- Batman has gotten old.

EXT. ROOFTOP OF DARK WAREHOUSE

The Police look through the opening and they see that they weren’t there- the main cop motions 1 other to follow him in- and then he jumps down- and one other cop does to-

INT. DARK WAREHOUSE

THUG1
Looke here- six makes a party

POLICE1
Put your hands in the air-

THUG1
You happen to forget at who I’m aiming at- you make any sudden moves and he dies-

THUG2
Come on give up- please.

THUG1
Shut up!!!!

Thug2 trembles as he aims the gun towards Thug1

THUG2
Do as they say!!!!

THUG1
I’m not going to give all of my dreams away- just for you!!!!

Thug 1 shoots Thug2

THUG1
So where were we?

Thug1 had his gun towards Bruce’s head- Police2 fires towards Thug1- and Thug1 attempts to fire, but it had no more ammo- Thug1 drops to the ground-

POLICE1
Mr.Wayne- everything will be okay.

The police untie both of the hostages-

We open up to the beginning main credits sequence – which plays to the Phantasm theme song.

INT. WAYNE- POWERS MEETING ROOM- 20 YEARS LATER

There inside of Wayne-Powers industries, Derek Powers the new manager was standing in the front looking towards a Russian general

DEREK
That is why today- I am pleased to say that Wayne- Powers industries is upping it’s quality, bringing our company into the next milenia- recently we have been working on a new type of DNA mutagen- that can kill off anything it comes in contact with, and it is very fast acting- I plan to have these mutagens multiplying by the thousands for sale. So what do you say? We already have tested on plants and cattle- the results were quite satisfying.

See the screen in the back showing what happened with plants and cattle- black spots starting to appear.

GENERAL
Wonderful news Darek- wonderful news, but I only have one question for you-

DEREK
Ask away- I have all the time in the world.

GENERAL
Have there been any human testing?

DEREK
Now you see- that my friend is where we run into difficulty-

GENERAL
Difficulty?

DEREK
Difficulty- now if I were to tell you that the United States reviews our human test subjects quite wistfully- I would be lying to you, you see down here in America human test subjects are run a little differently, than shall we say Russia-

GENERAL
How so?

DEREK
Well, if there are any problems or malfunctions, there are always US military officials here to scratch at our backs- until we bleed to death- but, here’s the part that is quite risky, we have all the potential of getting a qualified human test subject, only it won’t be considered to be a human subject-

GENERAL
What are you talking about?


DEREK
I’m talking about murder- I’m talking about paying for this country out of our own god damn pockets. Murder- is what this game is all about, it always has been.

GENERAL
And how exactly would you be able to do that?

DEREK
Maybe- a little accident in the laboratory

GENERAL
You would never get away with it-

DEREK
Now you see- that is where you are wrong, these kind of things happen in the office all the time- only thing is, you never hear about it-
(laughs)
It’s the perfect murder- they can’t hold you responsible.

GENERAL
And what if the word gets out? What then?

DEREK
Then that person, better keep to himself- or he’ll wind up… dead

GENERAL
What your talking about is illegal.

DEREK
How so?…………My view on life is that if they don’t see you- you’re not the one responsible.

[Triligors film]

INT. HIGH SCHOOL HALLWAYS

Dana Tan and Terry were walking down the hallways at school.

TERRY
Dana- how many times do I have to keep telling you, Batman doesn’t exist-

DANA
And how would you know?

TERRY
Trust me- I would know alright?

DANA
Come on Terry, you heard the stories that our parents used to tell us about- about a-

TERRY
Flying bat that used to keep this city in order?

DANA
Exactly

TERRY
There’s one flaw to your theory though-

Terry stops at his locker to change his books.

DANA
Oh yeah? What’s that?

TERRY
I mean look around you Dana. Does this city look like it’s in order? Or ever has been?

DANA
Ok- look at the Jokerz

TERRY
Let’s look at the Jokerz- shall we? Let me see here- they are insane, diabolical- do you have any more synonyms by any chance that I could use?

DANA
I’m serious Terry- what about their origins?

TERRY
You mean of the original Joker? The mafia dude- I’m betting he never existed-

DANA
(asks trivialy)
So it was all made up?

TERRY
I mean, come on- doesn’t it sound a little bit fake to you? Gotham has always been known for crime, it always has been- and no flying rodent is ever going to change that.

DANA
Well, do you want to know one thing that I do know about Batman?

TERRY
What’s that?

DANA
That they say- he used to get all the girls..

TERRY
All the girls? Come on Dana- give me a break.

DANA
It’s true- there’s just something about-
(plays with Terry’s jacket)
Black rubber-

TERRY
Now you’re just playing with my emotions-

DANA
Come on Terry, how can you be a skeptic? I mean it’s right in front of your face-

TERRY
Ok- I have one question for you-

DANA
I’m listening-

TERRY
If there was a Batman, why isn’t he still fighting crime? I mean- Superman is what? Fifty? But, I don’t see him hanging up the capes-

DANA
Well, maybe he settled down-

TERRY
Agh-

DANA
I beat you at your own game Terry McGinnis- ha, I win.

TERRY
Win what?
(laughs)

DANA
This-

Dana and Terry kiss-

TERRY
That’s the best prize I won today-

DANA
I have proof that Batman exists-

TERRY
Proof?
(skeptic)

DANA
Yeah-

TERRY
Ok- shoot, what is this genius proof?

DANA
A news story by a Miss Vicki Vale a while ago-

TERRY
Wasn’t she supposedly his girl friend or something?

DANA
Correct, but- Terry in the article there’s a photograph of Batman.

TERRY
You still have the article?

DANA
Yeah- my mom held onto it.

TERRY
Now that’s a surprise-

DANA
What is that supposed to mean?

TERRY
You are both obsessed with a man that never existed-

DANA
Batman did exist-

TERRY
Magic words Dana- did. As long as I’m concerned, if there ever was a Batman I don’t care about his story and who he is- if he was a crime fighter, my question is why would he leave Gotham City to rot. To me, it seemed as though one day he just hung up his costume and said- well, it’s time to call it quits.

DANA
No- I think something happened.

TERRY
What could have happened to him, I mean- the guy was a hero, the classic type of hero- of what legends were made out of-

DANA
I don’t know- but, you at least have to admit that he could have existed-

TERRY
Ok, ok- I admit it, maybe once there could have been a Batman- but, he’s not here anymore- so in my eyes he doesn’t exist. And that’s really all there is to it- I’m sorry Dana, but I’m really keeping to my mind on this one-

DANA
And about the party this week-


TERRY
Yeah?

DANA
You can still make it- right?

TERRY
Actually-

DANA
Come on Terry- don’t bail out on me now.

TERRY
I’m sorry Dane- but, my dad grounded me-

DANA
What did you do this time?

TERRY
Beats me- listen I’ll talk to you later okay?

DANA
Yeah- ok.

[Triligors film]

INT. WAYNE- POWERS MEETING ROOM

Derek was in a meeting room with Harry, a man in his mid forties.

HARRY
You wanted to speak to me?

DEREK
Yes- come on in Harry

Harry comes closer in-

DEREK (CONT’D)
I have been reviewing your work recently- and I have stumbled upon a minor flaw in your pay-

HARRY
What is it sir?

DEREK
Seems like last month, one week you worked double over time- am I correct?

HARRY
Yes sir, I did-

DEREK
Well, there is a new opening for a better job here at Wayne-Powers, and since you have been loyal to the company for quite some years now- I have decided to give the job to you.


HARRY
Thank you- it’s an honor

DEREK
No, need I should be thanking you for releasing such a heavy burden off of me- you see you will be working with one of the most important fields here at Wayne-Powers industries, our new and improved DNA mutagens- there seems to be a problem that I want you to try to clean up for me-

HARRY
No problem Derek- I’ll have the glitch worked out in no time-

DEREK
I’m sure you will Harry- that’s why I picked you of so many others. You are dismissed-

HARRY
Once again, thank you sir-

DEREK
No thank you needed Harry- trust me.

Harry leaves the room, and then a body guard type built man walks towards Derek, he was a Czechoslovakian, his name was Mr.Fixx

DEREK
Welcome- take a seat, we have loads of business to get down to-

[Triligors film]

INT. SCHOOL HALLWAYS

Willie Watt was out strolling the hallways when all of a sudden he sees Chelsea right in front of him- and then a muscular jock walks towards him, wearing his sports jacket- his name was Nelson Nash- Gotham High’s bully.

NELSON
What are you doing looking at my girl freak?

Nelson pushes Will up against the wall-

NELSON (CONT’D)
I’m talking to you freak- what are you doing looking at my girl!!!

TERRY
Leave him alone Nelson-

NELSON
Why, if it isn’t McGinnis-

TERRY
I’m telling you Nelson- leave him alone.

NELSON
Am I supposed to be frightened by you McGinnis?

TERRY
I don’t know- should you be?

NELSON
You’re lucky McGinnis-
(he readjusts his sun glasses)
That I don’t have a problem with you-
(grabs Will by his shirt collar)
But, you freak-
(he pulls Will in)
Leave my girl alone-
(he throws Will back and against the wall)

TERRY
Hey- are you okay?

WILL
Yeah, I’ll do ok-

TERRY
Why do you let him pick on you like that?

WILL
I have no other choice-

TERRY
Hey- Terry McGinnis-

WILL
Willie Wat-

TERRY
Well, if he ever bothers you again- just let me know okay.

WILL
Will do- and Terry

TERRY
Yeah?

WILL
Thanks-

TERRY
Hey- don’t worry about it-

[Triligors film]

INT. WAYNES- POWERS LABORATORY

Harry was in the laboratory and he typed out some keys for the sequence-

SCIENTIST1
What are the readings?

HARRY
I’m reading an activation count of about 200 beats per second.

The camera goes around them, they were testing on cattle-

SCIENTIST1
200 beats per second-

HARRY
No wait- but, it can’t be- it’s remarkable- it’s beating at 500 beats per second-

See the black dots forming on the cattle-

HARRY
It’s going into phase 1 of the process-

The cattle is getting weaker by the second-

SCIENTIST2
What’s the time?

SCIENTIST3
Since catalyzation it has been 45 seconds.

See the cattle die-

HARRY
Process completed- what do you read?

SCIENTIST3
Fifty seconds-

HARRY
Great news, I’ll go alert Derek of our progress

INT. WAYNE-POWERS MEETING ROOM

GENERAL
And for this American guinea pig- when do you suspect
to have a trial run?

DEREK
Patience- all good things come to thou who wait- Harry is just beginning to work for us, but soon- he will, well let’s say experience changes-

GENERAL
I am running out of time Derek-

All of a sudden they hear the door creak open-

DEREK
Mr.Fixx- go check on the problem

Mr.Fixx goes out of the room- and walks back in, to whisper in Derek’s ear
DEREK
I see-

GENERAL
What seems to be the problem Derek?

DEREK
It seems our guinea pig has ratted us out- Mr.Fixx, when he enters the laboratory- make sure he can’t escape. Congratulations General- you have won your first demonstration.

Mr.Fixx walks off.

INT. WAYNE-POWERS LABORATORY

Harry runs in and accesses the computer- he presses a button and a disk ejects. And then all of a sudden gas begins to leak- Harry begins to cough and then he runs out- and then he starts resting against the wall, he hears guards storming the building in search- he continues to run and then he reaches the elevator- and he looks behind him, Mr.Fixx was there- he punches on the elevator panel- ding. It opens- he presses the first floor- and then the door closes- it’s quiet for a second and then Pow!!! The elevator door is slammed open- but, he couldn’t get through- ding he was on the first floor- he runs out through the exit and out into the parking lot, he sees his car and drives off.

INT. WAYNE POWERS LABORATORY

Mr.Fixx equips his walkie-talkie.

FIXX
He got away-

DEREK (OC)
We will find him, report back here at once-

FIXX
Understood-

Mr.Fixx walks off

INT. GOTHAM STREETS

Harry is in his car driving, and he begins to breath hard- and he
equips his cell phone

INT. TERRY’S HOUSE- COMPUTER ROOM

Terry’s father was busy typing away on the computer

FATHER
Terry- can you get that?

The phone continues to ring and he finally picks up the phone.

FATHER
Hello?

HARRY (O.C.)
Hi- it’s Harry, I need you help- it’s urgent-

FATHER
What is it Harry?

HARRY (O.C.)
Agh- I can’t talk now Warren, meet me at Town Hall-

FATHER
Harry-

Harry already hung up-

[Triligors film]

INT. TRAM

Terry was on the tram, and in front of them was the news-

NEWSCASTOR
Recently- Wayne-Powers industries has been in top secret meetings with a Russian General- when we asked Derek what had ton reply- he simply replied no comment, we’ll keep you up dated with further news on this story- you are watching Gotham 7 news.

The tram opens and a Joker walks on- and he walks up to the T.V. screen and he spray paints onto it- and then he bows.

JOKERZ 1
Thank you-
(bows)
Thank you- I’m here till News day-

Jokerz1 looks over towards a woman that was laughing- and he walks over to her and slides himself down-

JOKERZ 1
I saw you laugh- I saw you smile- I saw you laugh-

WOMAN
Leave me alone!!!!!

JOKERZ 1
Have you ever danced with the devil by the pale moonlight?
(smiles)
I like to say that to all my victims-

WOMAN
Please leave me alone!!!!!


JOKERZ 1
I don’t think that’s such a nice idea- it wouldn’t be very funny now would it? Come on give me a laugh!!!!
(begins to laugh)

Terry taps on Jokerz 1 shoulder

TERRY
Hey- did you ever danced with the devil by the pale moonlight?
(punches the Jokerz 1)

Jokerz 1 goes flying against the news screen

JOKERZ 1
That really cracks me up-

TERRY
I didn’t know Clowns knew how to fight-

JOKERZ 1
Who do you think you’re messin’ with?
(laughs)
I’m a Joker-

TERRY
I know-
(punches the Jokerz 1 back)

Jokerz 1 is knocked off balance-

JOKERZ 1
Be back later- chow
(laughs)

Jokerz 1 exits out of the tram-

WOMAN
Thanks-

TERRY
Don’t worry about it-

Terry sits back down.

EXT. GOTHAM TOWN HALL

See Warren walking towards Harry

HARRY
Thank god you’re here-

FATHER
Harry- what’s going on?



HARRY
Listen Warren, I’m in danger- I need you to do me a favor-

FATHER
Yeah- sure what is it?

HARRY
Here-

Harry hands Warren the disk

FATHER
What’s this Harry?

HARRY
Wayne-Powers is working on something new, a new type of DNA mutagen, in which he hopes to hold as a nuclear weapon that he could unlease unto the world-

FATHER
Harry- what’s wrong?

HARRY
Someone’s following me- Please, just check the disk-

FATHER
Harry- what’s going on?

Warren studies the disk

HARRY
Please- just, do what I say Warren

FATHER
What’s exactly on this disk Harry?

HARRY
The blueprints to the whole project all of it- 100%

FATHER
My god Harry-

HARRY
Warren they’re after me- I have to go

Harry runs off

FATHER
Harry-

He was too late, Harry already ran off.

INT. GOTHAM HIGH- GYM

Nelson walks towards Terry-

NELSON
What do we have here McGinnis?

TERRY
Go screw yourself Nash-

Nelson pushes Terry- and Terry goes sliding onto the ground of the gym floor-

COACH
Nash- McGinnis you’re up first-

Terry and Nash walk into the center and begin to wrestle-

NELSON
I’m going to enjoy this McGinnis-

TERRY
You won’t win-

NELSON
You think you’re stronger than me McGinnis?

TERRY
Think? I know-

NELSON
Let’s see about that McGinnis-

TERRY
Funny you reminded me of a Joker I fought this morning-

NELSON
Oh really?

TERRY
Only thing is- he wasn’t as pathetic-

Nelson spits in Terry’s eyes-

NELSON
You’re going down McGinnis-

Terry punches Nelson- and Nelson punches Terry back- the coach starts to use the whistle- but the fight continues- getting cheered on by the other students.

STUDENTS (ADD’LIB)
You got him!!!! … Knock him to the ground!! (etc.)

Nash runs towards Terry, but Terry rolls out of the way-

TERRY
Hey- you missed your target!!


NELSON
You’re going down McGinnis!!!

TERRY
Is that so?

Terry punches Nash, but his fist is caught- and he gets thrown to the other side.

COACH
Stop!!!!

Coach continues to blow on the whistle- Terry runs towards Nelson and kicks out- Nelson goes flying back-

NELSON
You’re going to pay McGinnis!!

Nelson and Terry walk towards each other and then they are held back-

NELSON
Let go of me!!!!!

Nelson blasts through the students that were holding him back-

COACH
That’s enough Nash- McGinnis- I’m gonna call your father today and let him all about today’s fight - the rest of you are dismissed.

TERRY
But-

COACH
You threw the first punch McGinnis-

NELSON
You heard the coach McGinnis-
(he laughs and walks away)

TERRY
Come on coach-

COACH
I read up on you McGinnis- you ran into trouble in your old school- don’t let it happen again-

Terry stares towards the coach angry

TERRY
Yes sir-

INT. TERRY’S HOUSE- COMPUTER ROOM

Warren was busy typing on the computer, reading the file

FATHER
Harry- what were you working on?

[Triligors film]

INT. GOTHAM HIGH- LOCKER ROOM

Terry was the last person in- he walks over towards the shower and turns it on to cold water-

INT. GOTHAM JUVENILE HALL

Terry was behind bars with another teenager his age, Greg Wallace

GREG
You see- the way I figure it Terr. We are here for life- that’s the way it reads.

TERRY
Yeah?

GREG
Yeah- look around you Terr. You see we’re locked behind bars- the last time I saw someone behind em’ bars was when I was at that zoo a while back- I can’t stand the sight of the sky without fresh land-

TERRY
I know what you mean-

GREG
Why do you keep starin’ out those gates? We’re in here for life man, it’s life that’s all we got- life an’ each other-

TERRY
One day Greg- one day I’m going to change all that-

GREG
How so? You think you’re gonna change da world or sometin’ McGinnis? It never gonna happen- dis is who we are- learn to deal with it- I have.

TERRY
There had to be some other way-

GREG
You killed a man McGinnis- murder does not go easy- especially in Gotham.

TERRY
It wasn’t my choice- and you know that-

GREG
All I know- is what I heard- they say you were out on the streets- an’ a war began- a gang war-

TERRY
No- it just wasn’t that- the guy was a Joker-

GREG
Them all Jokerz Terry- and they all have no sense of humor-

TERRY
I was doing my right as a citizen-

GREG
You killed a man, a Joker is just the same-

TERRY
He was-

GREG
Yeah- but down here- it ain’t make no difference who it is- it could have been Housaine- and dey would have still thrown you in here-

TERRY
I’m not afraid of them-

GREG
Everybody’s afraid of em’ even you Terr.

TERRY
Well I’m not- and I could have done something!!!!

GREG
We can do nothin’- what are you going to do if that day comes and you’re released-

TERRY
I don’t know- probably go to high school- find myself a life-

GREG
What would you do if someone ever ruined that dream life?

TERRY
I -I don’t know-

GREG
You do know- you would go an’ fight again- dat’s what you’d do- you’d throw it away.

TERRY
And what about you huh?

GREG
Me? I’d stick right where I am- I’d be back here in no time- guys like you an’ I- we never change, we never will- in the views of this city we’re both criminals- they don’t care what your record reads- they don’t care. One thing that I learned is – Gotham is land of crime and chaos- it always has been-

TERRY
Always will be-

GREG
Exactly-

TERRY
I know-
(looks towards Greg intently)
And I’ll change that-

GREG
You won’t change anythin’ Terr. We’re criminals you an’ I- criminals for life- tell me how did it feel? That knife in your hand Terr. Seeking vengance against those who threatened your family?

TERRY
It was-

GREG
Huh?

TERRY
Breath-defying

GREG
And do you still remember the image of that shiny blade?

TERRY
I can’t forget it- if that’s what you’re asking-

GREG
An’ you never will-

TERRY
Why can’t I-

GREG
Because, that’s just who we are-

A guard walks by-

GUARD
Time for a break-

Terry walks out and towards the showers- and when he turns it on you can see that the water was freezing cold-

Terry was still there- in the same place, shivering from the coldness- and then the lights go off- the water creating a sort of fog effect- a hint of what was to become the Tomorrow Knight.

INT. WANYE- POWERS MEETING ROOM

Fixx was standing with Derek there-

DEREK
What do you mean stolen? Where is it!!!!

FIXX
No where sir- he has the disk-

DEREK
Well, find him damn it!!!!! Since we already ordered a full sweep- there were no signs?

FIXX
No signs of him during the search- we’re searching as hard as we-

DEREK
You can be searching the God Damn globe!!!! I don’t give a damn just find that ****in’ disk!!!!!!!

FIXX
Yes sir-

DEREK
No man can hide forever- find where he is- then we’ll get the disk- make sure no further information gets out- the last thing we want is this story on the evening news- eliminate- no not just eliminate.. get rid of everyone that he has come into contact with- we can take no risks-

FIXX
Understood- sir.

INT. GOTHAM HIGH- CLASS ROOM

PROFFESSOR
Class- you may now access your computers. The test has begun- continue.

Terry arrives late-

TERRY
Sorry sir- I was..

PROFESSOR
Late?

TERRY
Yeah- I’m sorry, it will never happen again-

PROFESSOR
It best not McGinnis- find the closest seat- the test has begun-

TERRY

PROFESSOR

INT. WAYNE- POWERS MEETING ROOM

The General and Derek were in the room

DEREK
We have ran into some- complications

GENERAL

DEREK
Yes- you see, the set-up went wrong-

GENERAL
Went wrong how?

DEREK
The specimen has escaped-

GENERAL
Escaped?

DEREK
I’m afraid so- and it gets worse-

GENERAL
Worse? How so?

DEREK
He stole the informational files- it was in a disk, and so far- we haven’t been able to find it-

GENERAL
This is bad Derek-

DEREK
Don’t worry- no one will ever know, I promise-

INT. GOTHAM HIGH – CLASS ROOM

Terry had fallen asleep next to the computer- Briiing- Terry wakes up-

PROFESSOR
Finally you are up McGinnis- how far did you get until you fell asleep?

TERRY
Huh?

PROESSOR
Three questions McGinnis- and two of them are wrong- what would that be? The test was worth 200 points, and you got 1 correct- 100 for the multiple choice, 100 for the essay- so that comes out to a 1 out of 200 or- .5% that’s a new time high McGinnis- what are you trying to do break the school record?

TERRY
I’m sorry- but

PROFESSOR
You are lucky that today I will let you get by- here’s a disk- for you mother to sign just to see- how smart you really are McGinnis- I expect to see you back here tomorrow- and ready to be more serious about one of your exams Mr.McGinnis-

TERRY
Yes sir-

Professor hands Terry the disk-

PROFESSOR
Have that back here- by tomorrow morning Mr.McGinnis- or I won’t be so lenient-

TERRY
I understand sir- thank you.

Terry walks out of the class room

INT. GOTHAM HIGH- SCHOOL HALLS

DANA
What was that about?

TERRY
Who knows-

DANA
I mean about the test-

TERRY
Oh- he’s letting me take it again tomorrow

DANA
Isn’t that considered cheating?

TERRY
I don’t think it would be- if you fell asleep right after the third question.


DANA
Why were you late?

TERRY
What? Oh- I blacked out

DANA
Again?

TERRY
Yeah-

DANA
I don’t get it- what happens?

TERRY
I -I get these flashbacks sometimes-

DAN
What sets it off?

TERRY
I don’t know- sometimes it could be something as small as cold water

DANA
Do you black out on purpose?

TERRY
Sometimes-

DANA
Why?

TERRY
It’s nice to be reminded of where I come from once in a while- it helps me keep my life on tract- you could say it prevents me from making any mistakes.

DANA

TERRY

Terry walks in through the front entrance

TERRY
Dad- I’m home…

Terry walks towards the computer room


TERRY
Hey-

FATHER
Terry- I got a call from your gym teacher today, says you got into a fight with that Nelson Nash kid-

TERRY
Dad hear-

FATHER
I’m not going to hear you out on this one Terry- maybe a couple of years ago I was willing to let you go- but, you have to learn to control your anger-

TERRY
I have learned!!!!!!

FATHER
Then why did you get into that fight at school?

TERRY
I didn’t start the fight-

FATHER
Then who did Terry? You threw the first punch- that’s it your grounded, for two weeks-

TERRY

(bangs his fist against the door)
Mom would hear me out-

FATHER
I want you to have a good life Terry, I want you to be successful in what ever you do-

TERRY
Yeah- I’ll be a big success- just like you! I’m bailing-

Terry runs out of the house

Derek was there looking towards Mr.Fixx, Harry in his hands-

DEREK

HARRY
I’m not going to let you get away with this Derek!


DEREK
I’m afraid you don’t have a chance- now tell me what I need to know-

HARRY
You’ll never find the disk-

DEREK
Mr.Fixx-

Mr.Fixx presses a knife to Harry’s throat

DEREK (CONT’D)
So- now do you want to reconsider you position?

HARRY
What- do you need to know?

DEREK
Where’s the disk-

HARRY
Please no-

DEREK
Where’s the disk!!!!

HARRY
Warren McGinnis has it-

DEREK
Thanks Harry-

HARRY
I thought you’d let me live!!!!

DEREK
When did I ever say that?

Mr. Fixx stabs Harry- and he falls down dead-

DEREK (CONT’D)
Find Mr.McGinnis- and when you do- kill him!!!!

EXT. NIGHT CLUB- OUTSIDE ENTRANCE

Dana and Chelsea were waiting at the entrance


CHELSEA
So- where is he?

DANA
I don’t know- he said he might not be able to come tonight-


CHELSEA
Why?

DANA
He didn’t know-

TERRY
Boo-

DANA
Terry-

TERRY
Yeah-

DANA
I thought you were grounded-

TERRY
I gave myself time off for good behavior-

EXT. OUTSIDE OF TERRY’S HOUSE

Mr.Fixx was waiting in the car

EXT. NIGHT CLUB- OUTSIDE ENTRANCE

Terry and Dana stood there, and then Nash comes into view in his sports car and he steps out- and he walks forward.

NELSON
McGinnis-

TERRY
Nash-

They stare towards each other as though they were going to begin to fight and then all of a sudden Jokerz 1 drives in on a motorcycle with three big Jokerz and two girl Jokerz.

JOKERZ 1
What do we have here? A comedy club?

The Jokerz begin to attack the people outside of the nightclub

TERRY
Go clown-

JOKERZ 2
Little man wants to play-

Three Jokerz rush towards him- one of the girl Jokerz attempts to swing him with a spiked bat, but he backflip and attaches himself to a street lamp

TERRY
So you want to fight? You came to the right place-

Terry swings down from the lamp kicking his feet out in circles as he whirls around- the girl Jokerz goes flying back- and then he sees a big muscular Jokerz driving his motorcycle towards Terry- Terry takes the spiked club and slashes at the wheels- the motorcycle spins out of control-

JOKERZ 1
Thank you- thank you people of Gotham city-

Jokerz 1 yanks Dana towards him-

JOKERZ 1
I saw you laugh-

DANA
Terry- help!!!!!!!!

Terry kicks the last Jokerz off of the motorcycle and then he runs towards Jokerz 1-

TERRY
Let her go!!!!!

JOKERZ 1
What is this a joke duet?

TERRY
Let her go!!!!!

JOKERZ 1
Try to make me-
(laughs)

Terry runs towards Jokerz 1 and kicks out- Jokerz 1 flies back and off of the motorcycle and to the ground- he picks Dana up and helps her to her feet-

TERRY
I hate Jokerz-

All of a sudden more Jokerz drive in-

DANA
Terry go!!!!!!!

Terry gets onto the motorcycle and starts the engine up- and he drives off- Jokerz 1 jumps onto another bike.

JOKERZ 1
After him!!!!!!!

The Jokerz race towards Terry in the road- Terry enters onto a throughway- he accelerates his speed as he goes sliding back and forth from side to side avoiding cars coming towards him and behind him- the Jokerz always one step behind him- Terry sees a clearing below- he stops and he looks back- he rears the front tires up as he drives forward and down onto the third high way lane- and then the Jokerz follow behind him- few Jokerz falling from their bikes- Terry looks back seeing the Jokerz still behind him-

TERRY
You gotta be kidding me!!!!!!

Terry races off through the forest and then he zooms past Arkham asylum- it starts to begin to rain. He continues to race through the forest until he sees an old man in front of him-

TERRY
Move out of the way!!!!!!

The old man doesn’t listen, he just stands there-

TERRY
This has got to be my day-

Terry goes sliding his bike out of the way of the old man- the Jokerz are right behind him they stop-

JOKERZ 1
Oh- did Mr. Party killer have to stop?
(he laughs)

OLD MAN
Get off of my property!!!!

JOKERZ 1
Who do you think you’re messing with?
(laughs)
We’re the Jokerz-

OLD MAN
I’m sure you are-

The old man walks towards them- Jokerz 1 gets off of his bike and walks towards the old man, only to be quickly sent to the ground by a walking stick-

OLD MAN
Now get out!!!!!

JOKERZ 2
Let’s go-

Jokerz 1 hurries onto his motorcycle and drives off-

TERRY
Hey thanks-

OLD MAN
That includes you-


TERRY
How did you do that back there? I mean the guy went down in one second-

OLD MAN
I know-

TERRY
I’m Terry McGinnis- and you are?

OLD MAN
I said off of my property-

TERRY
You saved me- and I’m thankful but, please- just let me call my dad- tell him where I am-

OLD MAN
One phone call-

TERRY
Thanks- I appreciate it-

OLD MAN
By the Way- my name’s Bruce-

The audience understands now- but, Terry still doesn’t- it’s one man, the same- Bruce Wayne, former Batman.

[NOTE: OLD MAN WILL NOW BE KNOWN AS BRUCE]

Bruce starts to get another panic attack-

TERRY
Do you need help?

BRUCE
Yeah- I need my pills

TERRY
Where are they?

BRUCE
In there-
(points to Wayne Manor)

TERRY
Wo-

BRUCE
I have to get up there-

TERRY
Hey- let me help you…

BRUCE
No- it’s alright- I can-

TERRY
No- let me help you, come on-

Terry supports Bruce’s weight as they slowly ascend towards Wayne Manor. < POP OUT > Ace barks in anger towards Bruce and Terry.

BRUCE
It’s okay Ace-

Ace backs down

TERRY
Good dog-

Thunders rains onto Wayne Manor

INT. WAYNE MANOR

Terry walks over and he picks up the phone- the line was dead.

TERRY
Maybe I should go-

Terry approaches the door, and then < POP OUT > Ace barks towards him

TERRY
On second thought- maybe not.

Terry looks towards Bruce drinking down his pills

TERRY
Do you mind if I stay the night?

BRUCE
Sure- I’ll be upstairs.

Bruce walks away, and then Terry walks into the room and looks around in amazement- and then he stumbles upon an old grandfather clock- and then < POP OUT > a bat flies into view, from inside of the clock-

TERRY
How did you get in there?

Terry opens the clock-but the bat was behind it.


TERRY (CONT’D)
Wait- I’ll get you out.

Terry rings the clock’s bells hoping for a magical lever- he was right. The clock slides open to reveal a cave- and the bat flies off.


TERRY
What the?

Terry looks around the room and then he walks in- lights switch on all of a sudden and then you see the interior of the Bat Cave, there was a big screen TV still in the front, in all it’s glory it had been in- and then you see the batcar still there- in it’s black exterior design. And then you see the redbird motorcycle- a splendid awe inspiring view fled to the side where the costumes of Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Batman Beyond stood waiting as though they were ancient but still held high esteem in the eyes of many- it was real, all of it- the rouges gallery of villains hang to the left in model clay dummies, it was the mythological batcave-

TERRY
Wo-

Terry walks down the spiriling steps and towards the costumes- and he stops in front of the costume of Batman- placing his hand on the glass in amazement- that all of his child hood dreams were coming true, Batman wasn’t a Santa Clause, he was real- once, and he was there-

TERRY
Dana was right-

Terry looks around for another look, blinking his eyes as though he expected to wake up in his bed- but, there was no bed- this was real- all of it was. That thought filled him with awe, but horror as well- and then all of a sudden Bruce Wayne is in front of him-

BRUCE
Get out!!!!!

TERRY
I’m sorry- I stumbled down here- I didn’t mean to-

BRUCE
Get out!!!!!!!!

TERRY
I’m sorry, but it’s true- isn’t it?
(narrows his eyes wanting an answer)
Isn’t it?

BRUCE
Yes-

TERRY
You’re Batman-

BRUCE
I said get out!!!!! Now-

Terry looks into his eyes, and then he runs towards the end of the batcave and out- Bruce watching him leave.

EXT. STREETS OUTSIDE OF TERRY’S HOUSE

Terry arrives home, and his heart begins to speed up more- and tears begin to run down his face as he sees the police walking in and out of his house- he runs towards the house and the music escalates as he sees the words: HA HA HA HA, spray painted onto the wall- Terry runs up the stairs.

TERRY
Dad!!!!!!

Terry reaches the top floor- and he looks towards his Mom and he sees the tears in her eyes-

TERRY
No-

Terry runs into his mom’s arms and begins to cry-

MOTHER
Terry- I’m so sorry…

TERRY
Where is he? Where’s dad?

Terry looks into her eyes- full of pain of sorrow

TERRY
No-

Terry holds her away from him- and he looks towards the police next to a door- and he looks back towards his mom

TERRY
No-

Terry runs towards the door

TERRY
Dad!!!!!

The police attempt to block his way- and then he runs in and he enters the room, we never see Terry enter-

TERRY
Dad!!!!!!!


The mother puts her hand over her mouth, trying to prevent her crying- but, it was no use-

INT. TERRY’S ROOM- MOTHER’S HOUSE

Terry McGinnis, was somehow changed- he had remembered last night- he remembered the batcave- the cave of future, of a new life- and he also remembered the house of pain- the house that he had entered- the house in which he saw his father- laying there dead- and to make matters worse, he believed that he- Terry McGinnis- was the one responsible. He reads the obituaries- and it reads Warren McGinnis. Terry throws it to the ground- the paper goes flying away.. A knock comes at the door-

MOTHER
May I come in?

His mother’s name was Marry, she enters

MOTHER (CONT’D)
Terry- you didn’t say a word all day-

Terry looks towards his mom, revealing the striking pain in his eyes that hurt more than knives-

TERRY
Why would he open the door Mom? They were Jokerz he would have known better….. we could have fought them Mom, I’m not afraid- I’m not afraid of them … we could have fought them off Mom-

Marry walks over towards his son-

TERRY
He tried to ground me, and I wouldn’t listen-

Marry holds her crying son in her arms

TERRY
The things I said … I was such a jerk-

MARRY
It’s not your fault-

TERRY
I could have stopped them- if only I was there he would still be alive- I stayed back and I let him die-

MARRY
Hey-
(wipes tears away from Terry’s face)
It wasn’t your fault-

TERRY
I can’t just help for-

MARRY
He loved you, and you loved him- he never doubted the man you would turn into, when you were born he always knew that you were meant for great things- he always said, that tomorrow his son will be like a knight in shining armor- that would come to his rescue.

TERRY
I miss him so much-

MARRY
I know, and I do to- but, we will get by- that’s what he would have wanted- he would say Terry- don’t worry, go do what you were meant to do-

TERRY
You think so?

MARRY
I know so-

Tears continue to drip down his face- as the scene fades.

INT. TRAM RAILING UNDERNEATH

Terry was walking the streets underneath the Tram- and then all of sudden a flying car comes by and stops in front of him- and the door opens, Derek Powers stepping out-

DEREK
Terry- nice seeing you around, I’m sorry about your father Terry I really am-
(wishing to get on with it)
I need something from you Terry, when you’re father was working with me he stumbled upon a disk- do you know where I could find it?

TERRY
What disk?

DEREK
So- you haven’t found it? Well- when you do please tell me, right away- it’s of pressing business matters- if you know what I mean…

TERRY
I will be sure to do that-

DEREK
That’s a good guy Terry-

The sky car drives off, and Terry looks at it fly away as though there was something weird going on- what was this disk? All he knew was that he had to find it- and fast.


INT. MOTHER’S APARTMENT- ENTRANCE

Matt McGinnis walks in holding boxes, he was 14 years old-


MATT
How much stuff do you have in here?

Terry walks in behind him carrying two boxes

TERRY
Enough-

MATT
So what’s going on? Are you going to move in here for a little bit?

TERRY
What do you think? Mom’s just going to toss me out and onto the streets?

MATT
You never know- up until last night I never knew I had a brother-

Terry laughs.

TERRY
That’s true-

MATT
So you’re going to stay here?

TERRY
Sure, why not?

Matt smiles

MATT
Hey, what’s this?

Matt reaches into one of the boxes and takes a photo out-

TERRY
My middle school graduation- Dad was so proud of me that day-

Matt flips the picture around-

MATT
No- this
(takes out a disk in the back)

Terry takes it-

TERRY
I don’t know
(turns the disk around in a semi-circle)

INT. BATCAVE

Bruce rotates around and puts it in- the camera zooms out to the school to show the same clip show, showing the effects of the mutagen.


BRUCE
Powers is using my company to make nerve gas-

TERRY
So – you’re going to do something right?

BRUCE
No, send this to the police, ask for a –

TERRY
You have to do something!!! You’re Batman!!

BRUCE
Was- Batman

TERRY
The police won’t do anything- you have to!!!

BRUCE
I don’t have to do anything-

TERRY
It’s who you are!!!!! You are Batman!!!!

BRUCE
Batman died a long time ago-

TERRY
I can’t believe this- he’s using your company to make nerve gas- and you’re just going to let him get away with it!!

BRUCE
Here’s the disk
(hands the disk back to Terry)
Take it to a Barbara Gordon-

TERRY
So- you’re just going to give up?

BRUCE
I already have-

TERRY
Something happened to you- and it’s not just that you got old- you’re no Batman!!!! Batman would have fought- he would have stood up against the bad guys!! You had honor once- and you traded it for pity.

BRUCE
Yes- pity, but that’s all this life gives you- it’s a choice I made, I and I alone-

TERRY
You took in kids once- kids like me
(looks over towards the Robin and Batgirl
costume)
What happened?

BRUCE
I realized that this life is not meant for others- and I won’t let you make the same mistake!

TERRY
You had honor- and you threw it away!
(Terry runs off)

INT. GRAVEYARD- FOGGY AND RAINING DAY

In the grave yard was the funeral for Terry’s father- Terry looks towards the casket and a tear falls down.

PRIEST
Warren, McGinnis was a man of his word, he had two sons and a wife- now Terry do you want to say a word?

Terry steps forward, and then he looks over and he notices Bruce was there too- kneeling beside the graves of his parents.

TERRY
My father was a good man- he always knew what he had to do for the betterment of his family- I remember when I was young, he always used to call me the Tomorrow Knight.

Bruce looks up towards the funeral-

TERRY
When he died- I realized how lucky I was for having such a good and caring father- but, also I realized that I was meant for great things- and I promise by my father’s grave-
(looks over towards Derek)
That the killer will be found-

Bruce looks over towards Derek.

TERRY (CONT’D)
Thank you-

Terry steps down, Derek walks up to him- and places an arm on his shoulder.

DEREK
I will find the man who killed your father Terry- I promise.

TERRY
I already found him- and he better not make a wrong
move- I already know who killed my father.

Terry walks off and towards the exit which was to the left- where Bruce was by the grave of his parents- Derek frowns. Dana was there waiting.

DANA
I heard-

Terry looks away, afraid to show his feelings- Dana puts her soft hands to his face- and he looks into Dana’s eyes.

DANA
I’m sorry for what happened-

TERRY
I don’t think I can go on-

Terry looks into her eyes.

TERRY
I feel as though I’m in a dark hole- and all I see is darkness- I’m sorry Dana- I have to go.

Terry walks away- Bruce watching him, shaking his head “no,” he had promised himself it wouldn’t happen again- and it has. Dana stays there in the back, part of his old life- Terry looks back- and then he continues, he didn’t know where his life would lead him- not now. For now, he had to clear his mind.

[Triligors film]

INT. GOTHAM POLICE- BARB’S OFFICE

Barbara Gordon was in her police office on the phone, when Terry walks in-

TERRY
Sorry to interrupt-

BARBARA
No- come in take a seat-
(to the phone)
I’ll have to call you back
(she hangs the phone up)
Terry McGinnis? I was expecting you’d show up-

TERRY
You did?

BARBARA
Bruce called me, said that you were heading over with some disk, that you would like us to look at-

TERRY
Yeah- here
(hands over the disk)


BARBARA
I promise you- Bruce and I will find out what to do with this-

TERRY
Well, I better go-

BARBARA
Hey Terry-

TERRY
Yeah?
(he looks back towards her)

BARBARA
Trust me, do as he says- it’s not worth it.

TERRY
That’s what they all say-
(Terry walks out)

INT. BATCAVE

Terry walks in

TERRY
Bruce-

Terry looks around


TERRY
You’re door was open, and-

Bruce walks towards him

BRUCE
What are you doing here?

TERRY
I need your help-

BRUCE
You don’t need my help-

TERRY
Bruce, let me fight for you-

BRUCE
I will not watch another teenager make the same mistake that haunted my past-

TERRY
Then, don’t- but, I need your help- let me fight for you- with you, for you- help me Bruce, please-


BRUCE
I won’t let you make the same mistake-

TERRY
I read up on you Bruce- we’re the same.

BRUCE
Yes, we are-

TERRY
Then let me fight with you- the only thing I can think of is revenge- he killed my father Bruce.

BRUCE
And what are you going to do when the time comes? When you finally fight him- what are you going to do? You don’t understand- it just doesn’t end with him, it goes on- and on, until your whole life revolves around one thing- revenge… I won’t let you make the same mistake I made- this is no life, not for anyone-

TERRY
This city needs a hero- a champion over the dark.

BRUCE
What are you going to do with the time that is given to you? You’re going to fight- you’re going to destroy your life, when you try to stop, it still tries to break you- shatter you under it’s willing force-

TERRY
I don’t care- but, this city needs a hero!!!! A Tomorrow Knight!

BRUCE
You are not going to start this again!!!!!! Batman is dead- let him stay buried!

TERRY
I’m going to find him Bruce, and I’m going to fight- whether you like it or you don’t, this is my life- and I choose what is best.

BRUCE
So did I-

TERRY
I’m going to join you Bruce- whether you like it or not- this is the only thing I have left!

Terry runs out of the room.

INT. TERRY’S MOTHER’S HOUSE- TERRY’S ROOM

Terry was on the internet- and then he calls Dana up

TERRY
Hey-

DANA (OC)
Terry?

TERRY
Yeah- it’s me. Can you do something tonight?

INT. BATCAVE

Bruce was sitting in his chair looking towards the big screen TV, the screen showing images of the Joker- and then the phone rings

BRUCE
Hello?

BARBARA (OC)
Bruce- It’s Barbara Terry came over today with the disk-

BRUCE
And?

BARBARA (OC)
Your suspicions are correct-

BRUCE
So what can you do?

BARBARA (OC)
The question is what are you going to do?

BRUCE
He’s not going to join me-

BARBARA (OC)
I’m afraid you don’t have a choice Bruce, it’s his life- he can choose to do with it what he wishes-

BRUCE
I don’t want it to happen again-

BARBARA (OC)
That reminds me of what you used to say about Drake and I- but, things happen for a reason Bruce-

BRUCE
Batman is dead-

BARBARA (OC)
But, what about Terry? You can’t change what his heart tells him- if he wants to fight, he’ll fight- you can’t change that-

BRUCE
I just don’t want to see it happen again-

BARBARA (OC)
I’ll see what I can do.

BRUCE

EXT. BUILDING ROOFTOP

Terry and Dana were on a building rooftop- and he was holding her eyes shut-

DANA
When can I look?

Terry leads her over to the wall closest to the building and wipes away cobwebs- it was the Bat signal.

TERRY
Ok- open them.

Terry takes away his hands- and Dana looks in amazement towards the Bat signal

DANA
Is this for real?

TERRY
Batman did exist-

Dana looks towards him

DANA
So- how are you getting over it?

TERRY
I’m getting by-

DANA
What are you going to do?

TERRY
I don’t know yet, I really don’t know-

DANA
If batman still was around- he would be able to clean this city up. He would have been able to help you-

TERRY
Maybe, he still can-
(looks over towards the Bat signal)

DANA

TERRY
Say you knew how to find Batman- and bring him back what would you do?

DANA
Anything- why?

TERRY
I was just wondering-

DANA
So- here it is-

TERRY

The bat signal blinks on

DANA
Black rubber-
(she plays around with his jacket)

The camera flies back- showing the shadow of the white Batman signal shining in the sky- as Terry and Dana lean in and kiss- the bat signal encircling them- signs of a new life. And then the camera zooms towards Terry’s face and fades to-

INT. BATCAVE

The Camera fades to the face of the Batman Beyond costume.

EXT. ALLEYWAYS

See Jokerz around a fire in the middle of an alleyway- and then they all look up, and there was Batman Beyond, who will now be just referred to as Batman looking down towards them.

BATMAN
I just thought I would drop by-

Batman jumps down and looks towards them.

BATMAN
Do you mind?

JOKERZ 1
It’s the bats!!!! What are you waitin’ for!! Tear his stinkin’ wings off!!!!

BATMAN
I must say, thank you for your hospitality-

A big muscular Joker runs towards Terry, with his arms open, he picks Batman up with his arms still around his chest- when Batman is above the Jokerz head he kicks his feet out and the Jokerz gets knocked back.


BATMAN
You’ve all brought me in with arms wide open-

JOKERZ 1
Do I have to do everything myself!!!!

Jokerz 1 runs towards Batman, and Bats kicks his foot out- and the Joker goes flying against a wall..

BATMAN
Please- do I look like a piñata to you?

The girl Jokerz run towards him from behind and in front- and their about to swing the club at the same time, when Batman jumps above them- and the two girl Jokerz bash together- and they fall to the ground.

BATMAN
Ohhh- that’s gotta hurt.

Jokerz 1 runs off and Batman attempts to follow him, but then all of a sudden three motorcycles rush towards him.

BATMAN
What is this? The Gotham car show?

Two motorcycles rush towards Batman from his right and left to the back and front- Batman jumps up into the air and air-kicks the Jokerz in front of him- szzzz. The motorcycle crashes into the other motorcycle and the other joker takes off flying into the air- and bashes into the other motorcycle driver.

BATMAN
I never knew you Jokerz enjoyed bowling, I can’t believe it- one hit and all the pins go down!!!! This game is so much fun-

But, there were more jokerz there and they all run towards Batman, there were five in total- Batman begins to run off- and then he notices that his costume was humming.

BATMAN
What’s this?

Batman takes off into the air and then he goes flying against the Jokerz- two knocked back into each other.

BATMAN
This seems like a game I know- do any of you know the name?

Batman lands and kicks out towards another joker-

BATMAN
No? Wait- I remember.

There were now two more remaining- a joker runs towards him, and Batman just stands to the side.

BATMAN
Dominos-

The last joker takes out a gun and fires towards Batman, but Batman walks through the bullets, it was as though he was a man without fear- a legend that couldn’t die. Batman kicks the gun out of the joker’s hand and then he punches the Joker to the ground.

BATMAN
That was fun- can we do that again? No?

Batman stops and then he looks around- Jokerz 1 was ontop of the building. And he begins to run off- Batman shoots off and into the sky, landing on the roof, he walks towards the joker- his cape floating in the air.

BATMAN
Stop-

Batman takes out an item from his utility belt, and shoots forwards the bat bang-a-rang, the bang-a-rang loops around the joker and the joker falls to the ground.

BATMAN
We all seem to get tied up into other people’s business now a’ days don’t we?

The joker begins to inch around in fear..

JOKERZ 1
Please don’t hurt me Mr.Bats- Please.

BATMAN
Now you’re afraid?

JOKERZ 1
Please I beg of you!!!! Please-

BATMAN
My fight is not with you-
(pulls Jokerz 1 in)
Tell me what I want to know-

JOKERZ 1
Okay- okay I’ll tell yah’ Mr. Bats- please don’t kill me!!!

BATMAN
I’m not going to- now tell me what I want to know-

JOKERZ 1
Ok- ok, I’ll tell you anything- everything.

BATMAN
What do you know of Warren McGinnis-

JOKERZ 1
Warren, we were hired to kill him-

BATMAN
Who hired you?

JOKERZ 1
Please-

BATMAN
Who hired you!!!!!!

JOKERZ 1
Derek Powers-

BATMAN
I was right-

JOKERZ 1
Now please, man let me go-

BATMAN
You will be set free- but, tell all your friends.
(pulls the Jokerz 1 in)
That Batman is back- tell all your friends.

JOKERZ 1
Yeah- ok, ok-

And with that Batman jumps down off of the roof- and then he flies off into the night sky. His shadow being cast over by the moon.

INT. BATCAVE

Batman walks through the entrance, and then he sees Bruce Wayne there in the chair waiting. Terry takes off the mask-

BRUCE
I gave you a distinct order-

TERRY
What you gave me was a place to hide-

BRUCE
Sometimes- that’s for the best.

TERRY
Most of the times- it isn’t.

BRUCE
I gave you an exact order-


TERRY
No- you never said that I couldn’t be Batman- all you said was you wouldn’t let me be Batman-
(stares into Bruce’s eyes)
And I don’t need you help-

BRUCE
I won’t let you throw your life away!!

TERRY
I’m not- you don’t get it do you? With out brining Derek Powers to justice- I’m no one, I can’t go on as Terry McGinnis- I have to make him pay for what he did.

BRUCE
That’s what it always is- but, it doesn’t stop with him, you become Batman- you become Batman for life-

TERRY
I know- but, I have to do this Bruce- if I don’t I’m afraid that my whole life will be taken away- this is who I am!!!!

BRUCE
I won’t let you put your life in danger-

TERRY
I will- whether you like it, or not- so I’m asking you Bruce- will you help me?

BRUCE
I-
(looks into Terry’s eyes)
will, but only if you promise me- that after this it’s over.

TERRY
I can’t- I won’t let this city get destroyed again by crime- Batman’s back for good this time-

BRUCE
I-

TERRY
So, I’m asking you now- will you help me? Will you fight with me? Will- you teach me? Because- this is now my life, whether you agree with it or not- it’s the only thing I have.

BRUCE
I’ll help you, but- I can be quite a difficult task master.

TERRY
I know-

BRUCE
Welcome to my world Terry McGinnis-

Bruce shakes Terry’s hand.

Terry looks towards Bruce Wayne and smiles-
MUSIC MONOLOGUE BEGINS
EXT. ALLEYWAY

See Jokerz running around with knives- and then they punch open a store window- Batman flys down upon them and looks towards them

BATMAN
Going somewhere?

Batman punches the Jokerz out, the scene fades to later the police cars arrive and Batman was gone- and the police cars come out puzzled looking at the Jokerz

INT. BATCAVE

BRUCE
An old life is ending-

INT. GOTHAM BANK

Bank robbers run into the bank and then they load their guns and point them towards the citizens of Gotham.

ROBBER
Get down!!!!!!

Robber points to a bank manager with his rifle-

ROBBER
You- are you the manager?

The man comes out and shakes his head “yes” still afraid of the surroundings that were facing him.

ROBBER
Open the safe-

The man shakes his head yes and then all of a sudden there is a tap from the glass roof above- it was a black glove-

ROBBER
What!!!!!

Batman shows his full image and waves and then he punches through and jumps down and looks around and then towards the robber-

BATMAN
Going somewhere?

TERRY {VO)
And a new life is beginning-

EXT. GOTHAM STREETS

See two motorcycle gang thugs driving through the streets- laughing, all of a sudden Batman drops down onto them and his black cape engulfs the screen, where the thugs screaming-

BATMAN
It’s not good to play with the law is it?

INT. MANSION

See three men dueling with swords and then you see their faces smile-

EXT. SKY

Two cards men, the same men from before are riding through the streets on giant cards. All of a sudden Batman flys in from no where-

BATMAN
Cards- I love cards, can I play?

The card man hits him with a black-marble cane, but Batman swoops out of the way avoiding it-

BATMAN
I’m going to have to ask you to stop your… cards-

The cards accelerate in speed-

BATMAN
Don’t say I didn’t ask you nicely.

Batman flies towards them and then he jumps onto one of the cards- the man hits a club towards him, Batman blocks the club and then he hits the guy in the gut with the cane- and he gets knocked out and begins to fall- the other man looks towards him smiling- Batman whips the cane towards him, it goes swinging and then towards his gut- bang he gets knocked off- Batman drops down from the cards and he flies down he spots the farthest falling man and he reaches him and then he picks him up with one hand-

BATMAN
You’re very heavy-

Batman continues down holding onto the man and catches the other man in his hand, he lands- and the police arrive- Batman hands them over.

TERRY (VO)
That goes far beyond the norm

INT. EAST GOTHAM HIGH- HALLWAYS

Dana is at her locker getting her books. And then she begins to walk away- Terry McGinnis is standing there watching as she leaves-

TERRY
Wait- Dana, don’t go-

Terry is left standing there and he sighs and leans against the locker- the one battle he has lost.

INT. HOME

Terry is in his room when his brother knocks on the door-

TERRY
Come in-

Matt slightly opens the door

MATT
Terry?

TERRY
Yeah- I’m here, what do you want?

MATT
I need advice-

TERRY
What kind of advice?

MATT
About girls-

TERRY
I’m probably not a good person to ask about that right now-

MATT
Why?

TERRY
I think I may have lost… Dana-

MATT
Oh, well maybe I’ll come back some other time-

Terry just grunts as his brother closes the door-

INT. BATCAVE

Bruce looks towards Terry

BRUCE
I will train you- until you never fail.

EXT. GOTHAM STREETS

Terry is walking in the streets of Gotham city and then a man brushes past him- the camera follows the man- the man was Greg!

INT. BATCAVE

Terry is training, punching against the stuffed mannequins- they seem to be falling down, faster and faster with no end- Terry just keeps on punching, and you can see the sweat dropping down his face- he looks towards Bruce- Terry has lost.

BRUCE
Harder!!!!! Again!!!!!

EXT. BUILDING ROOFTOP

This was an elegant building in which a party was going on, Bruce Wayne was the man of honor being thanked for helping the city- Terry looks around for any strange occurrence and then it happens- he sees a man with a wide smile on his face laughing, he sort of didn’t fit in, in an eerie sense- Terry looks towards Bruce and nods, he runs off. Boom!!!! The whole back side of the roof falls- man and women slip and they reach the ledge and pull themselves up, one woman goes tumbling- Batman swings down and rescues her.

INT. BATCAVE

Terry continues to punch and kick his way through the mannequins- Terry once again had lost.


BRUCE
Faster- Again!!!!!

INT. TERRY’S MOTHER’S HOUSE

Terry walks into his mother’s house and then Matt walks towards him-

MATT
Terry?

TERRY
Not now Matt… I’m busy-

Terry walks into his room and closes the door.

INT. BATCAVE

Terry punches through the manikins- and then he gets angry and stops. The sweat pouring down like a river-

BRUCE
Why are you stopping?


TERRY
I can’t do it!!!!!
(panting heavily)

BRUCE
Yes you can- again…

TERRY
Come on- I need a break.

BRUCE
You get a break once you succeed- again!

TERRY
I’ve had enough of these mind games Bruce-

BRUCE
I was taught by a very wise man- patience is the key. Forget your surroundings, forget who you are- fight, but do not think-

TERRY
Fight but do not think?

BRUCE
Again!!!!!

INT. ALLEYWAYS

Terry is walking and then he looks up towards the sky- and he sees the bat signal light up the night skies.

INT. BATCAVE

Terry continues fighting his way through, gaining speed as though he was moving as fast as the speed of light- kicking and whirling around like a knight of the dark and then nothing else comes- Bruce stops his stop-watch

BRUCE
Time-

TERRY
Did I?

BRUCE
Fifteen seconds on the clock-

TERRY
Fifteen?

BRUCE
You’re ready to become the Bat-

EXT. NIGHT SKIES

See Batman flying through the sky

EXT. ROOFTOP

Batman is on a rooftop looking down over the city and then he looks up as the Batsignal flickers back on again.

[Triligors film]

INT. TERRY’S MOTHER’S HOUSE

Terry walks in and looks around- and then his mother, Marry McGinnis walks out and looks towards Terry.

MARRY
Terry where have you been?

TERRY
Around-

MARRY
Do you understand what time it is?

TERRY
I know mom-

MARRY
Do you know how much I worried about you?

TERRY
I know mom- but,

MARRY
But, what?

TERRY
Mr.Wayne needed my help

MARRY
It’s 1:00 in the morning-

TERRY
Who knows? Maybe he’s a workaholic

MARRY
Terry- where were you!!!

TERRY
I already told you mom!!!

MARRY
And you expect me to believe you?

Matt walks out and looks towards both of them.

MATT
Terry- I have a question for-
(looks towards his mom)
But, yeah- it can wait- it can wait. No problem-

TERRY
You let him stay up?

MARRY
Terry- this is about you, you know your curfew-

TERRY
Mom- it’s Saturday night ok- no big problem.

MARRY
It is a big problem to me-

TERRY
Fine- what do you want me to do?

MARRY
Be back before 10:00-

TERRY
10:00!!!!! Why Ten o’ clock!!!!

MARRY
Don’t second guess me Terry- I made up my mind and what I say goes.

TERRY
I know mom- but, Mr. Wayne really needs my help-

MARRY
I don’t care Terry- it gets dangerous after dark, you know that-

TERRY
I know Mom-

MARRY
Promise me that you’ll be in by 10:00 from now on-

TERRY
Mom- I can’t

INT. BATCAVE

Terry was there complaining to Bruce-

TERRY
Tell her, she’ll freak out-

BRUCE
Handling insane people I can handle- handling moms, well that’s another story.

TERRY
You can’t do anything write a note? Phone a friend? Use a life line- anything?

Bruce eyes him not understanding the Win a Million Dollars routine.

TERRY
I have to go-

BRUCE
Go? We have work to do-

TERRY
I know-
(breaths out)
I know, but I have to play by her rules now-


BRUCE
How long is this going to last?

TERRY
Who knows? From experience I learned that my mom just un-grounds you whenever she feels like it- isn’t there anything you can do?

BRUCE
I’m afraid, for the first time- I don’t know what to do-

Bruce and Terry laugh

INT. EAST GOTHAM HIGH- HALLWAYS

Terry was standing at Dana’s locker watching her pack up her books.

TERRY
I can’t wait any longer Dana-

DANA
What are you talking about Terry?

TERRY
I’m talking about you and I- night out on the town- nothing stopping us.

DANA
Nothing?

TERRY
Nothing-

DANA
Not even Mr.Wayne?

TERRY
Not even Mr.Wayne- so what do you say?


DANA
I don’t know what to say Terry-

TERRY
Say yes – come on Dane.

DANA
Terry- I don’t know

TERRY
Come on- my first night off work, I need to relax-

Dana looks into his eyes

DANA
What exactly were you thinking?

INT. NIGHT CLUB

Terry was at the night club with Dana, and they enter- the night club was full of extraordinary designs! There was even a gigantic lava lamp in the center- the night club was two floors high, and it was outlined in an aquatic and outer space looking blue with sparkles that at a distance looked like shooting stars shingling brightly all around the parameter. Terry and Dana find a seat-

DANA
This is a rare pleasure-

TERRY
What do you mean? I thought you wanted to come here-

DANA
No- I did

TERRY
Then, what is it?

DANA
It just seems that lately you’ve been working over time for Bruce Wayne-

TERRY
What should I say? He needs me-

DANA
Yeah-
(pulls Terry in)
But, I need you too-

TERRY
I’m sorry Dane- but

DANA
But?

TERRY
I’m sorry it’s agh… it’s highly confidential-

DANA
Highly confidential?

TERRY
Yeah- top secret stuff.
(he laughs)
You wouldn’t believe me if I told you-

DANA
Try me-

TERRY
I’m sorry Dane, but I really can’t-

Chelsea walks over and she finds Dana and Terry-

CHELSEA
Terry McGinnis- good to see you finally showed up somewhere again-

TERRY
Well, what am I to say Chelsea? This city needs me-

CHELSEA
Well, hopefully you can save yourself on this one boy wonder-

TERRY
Watch me-

CHELSEA
Mm- hmm

Chelsea walks off, Terry looks over towards and Dana and he laughs smiling- and he sees that she’s not in fact she is quite angry-

TERRY
What’s wrong?

DANA
Nothing-

TERRY
No, really- what’s wrong- what is it?

DANA
No, Terry- it’s ok- it’s nothing that important obviously-

TERRY
Well, okay- if you say so- may I have this dance?

Terry and Dana get up and move towards the dance center area-

EXT. NIGHTCLUB

The Jokerz are wheeling in on their motorcycles-

JOKERZ1
What are you waiting for? Let’s give them some
(He laughs-)

INT. NIGHTCLUB

Dana and Terry were dancing, and then all of a sudden Terry slows down, as though he senses something to be wrong

DANA
Terry- are you okay? What is it?

Terry looks up towards the glass window above- seeing what was going to happen

TERRY
Dana!!!! Dunk!!!!!

Terry grabs her and then he throws himself backwards- avoiding the crash that came-

The crash booms through the glass above- a Jokerz motorcycle jumps through the glass and towards the lava lamp and liquid goes spraying everywhere in a massive tidal wave.

A new song comes on over the night club, a fighting song-

Terry glances towards Dana

TERRY
Dana- go, go get help…

Terry looks around seeing the Jokerz causing mayhem, all of the people afraid-

TERRY
Dana- please.

DANA
What about you?

TERRY
I’ll handle them-

DANA
Terry-

TERRY
Trust me- everything will be ok-

Dana sneaks off, as a Joker walks to the podium

JOKERZ1
People of Gotham city- I welcome you all to tonight’s laugh fest- let the festivities begin!!!!!

Terry sneaks up behind the Joker-

TERRY
Hey I have a joke for you-

JOKERZ1
Batman!!!!!!!

Terry looks around-

TERRY
Batman- what where?

JOKERZ1
You’re not Batman-
(snort laughs)

TERRY
No- I’m not-

Terry kicks his foot out and the Joker goes flying back and down to the second floor with a thump-

TERRY
I’m you’re worst nightmare.

Terry jumps down and to the floor below, two motorcycles drive towards him- he jumps into the air and holds onto a broken pipe, he begins to swing back and forth- Pow! Pow! The Jokerz get hit back, Terry jumps down and rolls out of the way. The motorcycles crash together.

TERRY
That was a close one-

A joker jumps down from above and looks towards Terry fighting another Joker-

TERRY
Come on is that the best you got!!!

The Joker attempts to punch Terry- but, Terry blocks the punch and in turn punches the Joker in the gut and flings him towards a table.

TERRY
Why don’t you consider trying out for Knights of the
round table?

Terry is standing there- slow motion the camera flies backwards, to reveal the Joker’s gun loading for fire- bang!!!! A bullet flies out towards Terry, back to fast animation Terry rolls out of the way- the bullet hits the wall and pops out into a “Ha! Ha! Ha!” flag

BULLET
Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

The bullet explodes into red, green and white paint. Terry looks towards the Joker who had fired it. Terry jumps into the air and holds onto a swinging pipe- he swings back and then forward and jumps off and lands on the Joker with a punch-

TERRY
Stop- clowning around!!

Terry looks above and hear more people’s screaming- and they come running down the stairs-

TERRY
How many are there?

Terry runs towards the stairs and fights his way up past the crowd.

TERRY
Excuse me- coming through- excuse me.

A man who was trying to escape punches Terry hard in the face-

MAN
Stop making it difficult for everybody-

This man, might be a good cameo, maybe Danny Devito or Tommy Lee Jones- in other words anyone that ever played a Batman villain in a movie. Terry looks towards him-

TERRY
Some people just don’t know how to thank the person who is rescuing them anymore.

At the top of the stairs were two muscular Jokerz and two girl Jokerz on motorcycles. The first muscular joker walks towards Batman- Terry looks around and then he realizes a plan- he whistles and the girl joker looks towards him. Terry checks and the big joker was approaching from behind- The girl on the motorcycle drives forward- and then Terry jumps into the air.

GIRLJOKER
Oh nooooooo!!!!!

Bang the motorcycle hits the big Joker and they both fly off and towards the first floor with a heavy THUD!!!!! Terry looks towards another muscular joker who was inching his way towards Terry, Terry jumps into the air and hangs onto the chandelier- all of a sudden he feels a hard strangling hand around his neck as he is pulled down.


TERRY
Easy there-

MUSCULAR JOKER
Teenager is only little weakling-

Terry tries to get free- but he can’t!!!

MUSCULAR JOKER
Puny little man-

Terry continues to try to attack-

GIRL JOKER
Time for the grand finale!!!!

The girl joker on the motorcycle drives towards them, her spiked bat pointing towards Terry- the motorcycle drives closer-

GIRL JOKER
Bye- bye.

Terry kicks his foot into the muscular joker’s restricted punching zone- all of a sudden he falls to the ground on his knees yelling in pain- Terry rolls out of the way as the spiked bat hits the muscular joker in his head- and the motorcycle crashes to the ground- the girl joker flying off and onto a chandelier on the ceiling- the cord beginning to twitch and then snap- it falls to the ground and shatters.

TERRY
You better be careful or some people might confuse you for nuts.

All of a sudden police cars arrive- and police officers run in towards the destroyed night club, Jokerz laying all over the place, then Barbara Gordon walks in and looks towards a cop-

BARBARA
What happened here?

COP
Seems like a joke that go personal-

Barbara looks up and towards the door that was swaying in the wind-

BARBARA
Ok- who ever was here just got out- find them.

COP
Yes mam-
(motions towards the other cops)
Move out-

Cops leave the area

EXT. NIGHTCLUB- SIDE- LADDER BARRIER

Terry is out on an old style ladder- he sees a roof in front of him, then he sees police patrolling the area (remember this is the future- cars fly.)

TERRY
Tale-ho

Terry jumps to the roof’s ledge in front of him, he grabs on and pulls himself up- he looks around, then he runs towards the roof in front and he hangs on, pulls himself up- but, this time he wasn’t on a roof- he was leaning against a wall- Terry scales the wall and sees police cars behind him, he looks down towards traffic and then back towards the police. He looks around – it was a 20 foot drop below.

TERRY
Just don’t look down-

Terry steps off and he goes falling down, he hangs onto a traffic car, and then he holds on as it speeds forward.

TERRY
Hey buddy- you mind slowing down?

The car turns a hard left and he slips- he goes falling and then he sees Dana’s car- he grabs on.

DANA
Hold on!!!!!

Dana’s car flies off and then a while afterwards it lands in a park.

EXT. PARK

Terry was obviously furious at something that couldn’t be pinpointed

TERRY
Thanks for the lift-
(walks around and gets into the passenger seat)

DANA
No problem-

TERRY
I need you to take me somewhere-

DANA
Where?

TERRY
Wayne Manor-


DANA
Wayne manor- why?

TERRY
There’s someone there that can help me-

[Triligors film]

INT. BATCAVE

Terry walks in and looks towards Bruce-

TERRY
I’m ready-

BRUCE
Are you sure?

TERRY
Yeah- tonight he tried to kill Dana, he killed my father in the past- tonight it’s more personal than it ever was-

BRUCE
Ok- suit up… part of being Batman is being an excellent detective- maybe we can use high school- to it’s greatest advantage yet.

INT. WAYNES-POWERS HALLWAYS

Terry was walking along the halls of Wayne-Powers looking around.

TERRY
Thank you Mr.Powers- it’s really an honor sir.

DEREK
I know, as well- it should be Terry

TERRY
Wayne-Powers, wo- this place is amazing.

DEREK
If you’d follow me Terry-

Terry follows Derek into his office-

DEREK
So what did you want to know Terry?

TERRY
I came here to talk business sir-

DEREK
What do you have to offer?

TERRY
An offer that no business can refuse-


DEREK
Wait Terry, listen- unfortunately at this time I have a lot of paper work to get done, but- in the mean time would you like a tour around our facilities here at Wayne-Powers industries?

TERRY
It would be an honor sir-

DEREK
Very well- Lawrence come in, there’s a Terry McGinnis here that would like a tour of Wayne-Powers.

A man, around his thirty’s walks in. His name was David Lawrence-

DAVID
Sir?

DEREK
Terry- wants a tour of Wayne-Power Industries could you show him around?

DAVID
Yes sir- follow me Terry..

DEREK
By the time you come back I should be done here-

TERRY
Yes sir- and so should I.

So far, so good- David and Terry walk out of the room.

DAVID
So what school do you go to?

TERRY
East Gotham High-

DAVID
I was a West- myself. What year are you?

TERRY
Senior-

DAVID
Well, if you would follow me-

David and Terry walk off and into the next set of hallways- and they walk into the security room. There were two guards-

DAVID
Come back in ten-

GUARD1
Yes sir-
The two guards walk out-

TERRY
I really have to thank you-

DAVID
For what?

TERRY
This-

Terry punches David and he is knocked out- and then Terry reaches into his pocket and pulls out the Batman mask and puts it on- ripping his shirt to reveal the costume itself- Batman looks down towards David’s body.

BATMAN
Thanks-

Batman flips the switches on the control panel-

BATMAN
To turn the cameras off, or turn the electricity off that is the question-

Batman walks towards the exit and he leans against the door looking out- he saw a guard stop, look his way and then continue walking away. Batman looks towards an elevator and he enters.

INT. WAYNE- POWERS MEETING ROOM

Derek was there and he looks towards Mr.Fixx

FIXX
Does the kid know who killed his father?

DEREK
No- he has no idea, he even thought of coming in to work for Wayne- Powers, ironic isn’t it? The same person he’s working for- is the same person he’s trying to kill-

FIXX
Things are working out as planned?

DEREK
Better than planned-

INT. LABORATORY ROOM

Batman enters the lab where Harry was working earlier and he looks around-

BATMAN
Interesting-

Batman walks over to the computer and then he presses buttons on the main console, the computer goes haywire-

COMPUTER
All files being copied-

BATMAN
Now to just wait-

INT. SECURITY ROOM

The two guards come back and find the unconscious of David on the floor-

INT. WAYNE-POWERS MEETING ROOM

FIXX
What do you want me to do?

DEREK
No need- not anymore.

All of a sudden the alarms go off-

FIXX
There’s an intruder sir-

DEREK
Find him!!!!!!!!!!

INT. LABORATORY ROOM

Batman looks around towards the blaring alarms

BATMAN
This is not good-

All of a sudden bullets come towards him- he sees guards aiming their guns towards him-

BATMAN
Hey- who are you shooting at? I’m the good guy!!!!!

GUARD2
Shoot down the intruder-

BATMAN
Hey look, I’m the good guy- I save and protect you, then why are you shooting at me!!!!!!!!

More bullets shoot towards him, and he goes rolling out of the way and behind glass canisters which get shot out-

BATMAN
Jeez- you try to help people and this is what you get.

The firing stops and he looks up and over the desk where the canisters is- bang! Bang! Bang!!!!!

BATMAN
I have to get a better agent-

Batman looks up and towards the door- it seemed to be hooked by a metal spring above- he shoots the batarang towards it and pulls it towards him- the door flies down.

BATMAN
He shoots he scores!!!!!

Batman stands up and sees the guards spreading out- he looks to his left, there was another exit- he takes it, for now he was free-

INT. WAYNE-POWERS MEETING ROOM

DEREK
What do you mean?

GUARD1
It’s Batman sir-

DEREK
Batman!!!!!!!

GUARD1
I’m afraid so-

DEREK
Batman disappeared more than ten years ago-

GUARD1
Well sir- he came back-

INT. WAYNE-POWERS HALLWAYS

Batman looks around the corner.

BATMAN
Bruce, you there?

BRUCE (OC)

BATMAN
Tell me what you see-

INT. BATCAVE

Bruce types on the control pad and various pictures read out- and then you see three thermal imaged guards.

BRUCE
It’s bad-

BATMAN (OC)
How bad?

BRUCE
You have three guards ahead of you-

BATMAN (OC)
Three? That should be like a walk in the park right?

BRUCE
Not so fast-

Bruce types up more controls- then you see the TV screen fly in towards an alarm.

BRUCE
This place is loaded with alarms-

BATMAN (OC)
How many?

BRUCE
Two- but, here’s the catch- you take out one, maybe two if you’re good- and I mean very good, you will still have that other guard to keep you company

BATMAN (OC)
What are you saying?

BRUCE
It would be near impossible charging through the front entrance-

BATMAN (OC)
I have pretty much no more choice do I?

BRUCE
Actually-

BATMAN (OC)
What is it Bruce?

BRUCE
There’s an alternative- but, it could be risky; it’s something that I had custom built into it- I didn’t ever test it, but-

Bruce types more and then you see a 3D representation of the Batman Beyond costume on the screen- he types more and then you see invisibility cloak.

BRUCE
I have installed a cloaking device- one that will render you invisible- to what extent, I don’t know-

INT. WAYNE-POWERS HALLWAYS

Batman was glancing around looking towards the guards.

BATMAN

All of a sudden Batman becomes invisible.

BRUCE (OC)
Good, now it’s built in-

Batman looks around- and then he faces a mirror, no reflection-

BATMAN
Wo- I never knew what it would feel like to look towards your empty reflection- it’s like looking through the looking glass.

BRUCE (OC)
You have a mission, remember?

BATMAN
Oh yeah, right-

Invisibat walks forward and then a camera reads him- and then the camera shines a light towards him.

BATMAN
****!!! I thought you said this thing worked-

BRUCE (OC)

BATMAN
Can you hold a minute?

A guard looks around startled-

GUARD
Where are you?

Batman appears-

BATMAN
Looking for me-

The guard lunges forward, but Batman becomes invisible and sidesteps- the guard hits the wall. The second guard comes and looks towards the fallen guard.

GUARD2
Quit playing around-

You can see the clothes on Guard2, the shoulder specifically pressing in and out.

GUARD2
Where are you?

BATMAN
Over here- no over here – I’m behind you-

Guard 2 looks behind him and then he is hit from behind over his head-

BATMAN
Not-

Guard3 looks towards him-

BATMAN
Sorry, but I’m not caught up right now-

Batman shoots out a batarang and it spirals around the guards body, he goes tumbling to the ground.

GUARD3
You’re not going anywhere-

BATMAN
I’m not? And just one question… uh- who’s stopping me?

All of a sudden the alarm rings out- Guard3 smiles

BATMAN
****!!!!

All of a sudden guards with machine guns come running towards him, and Terry summersaults backwards through their spray of bullets-

BATMAN
Can’t we all just be friends?

And then Batman whirls around and into an empty storage room-

BATMAN
Home sweet home-

The camera fades back and focuses on the guards who run out, machine guns loaded- Batman was no where in sight.

GUARD4
Where is he? Okay move out-

The guards scatter, there were five in total- Batman drops down from the ceiling onto one of them and they get knocked out- and then another guard runs towards him- he spins on his head and then he jumps back towards the guard kicking his feet back- a guard runs towards him and then Batman flips back and attaches to a place on the ceiling again- the guard looks around aiming his gun- he drops down onto the crates behind him a taps the guard on his shoulder.

BATMAN
Looking for me?

Batman punches the guard out-

BATMAN
Five down- two remaining

The camera goes back as another guard is walking around looking and then he looks up to see Batman there hanging down from the pipes on the ceiling hanging upside down.

BATMAN
Hi- I just though I would lay around-

The guard shoots towards Batman

BATMAN
No reason to try to kill me-

The guard continues to shoot his gun-

BATMAN
Well, if you want to look at it that way- you leave me to no other choice.

Batman drops down and he roundhouse kicks the guard, the guard goes flying back and towards the wooden crates- the crates toppling down over him!!!!

BATMAN
Ohhh- that’s gotta hurt.

A guard comes back and then he gets pulled in by the batarang against his neck-

BATMAN
Missed me?

GUARD5
Please- what do you want Mr.Bat?

BATMAN
(imitation)
I want you to tell me some answers- yah’ see an’ I want em answers now- yeah, the answers now yeah see-

GUARD5
What do you want?

BATMAN
Where are they loading the cargo?

The compound- no person can get in or out-

Batman looks back the door slams shut and then locks with metal-

BATMAN
Well- that warning came at the right time-

Don’t tell me the ceiling falls down with metal spikes-

BATMAN
Well, that’s easy for you to say- I can’t even move.

Batman struggles as he takes out a black bungee-cord and attaches it to the wall-

Guard5 is struggling and then more guards walk in-

GUARD5

Batman begins to fly off- while the bungee cord is attached to the door.

Hear banging on the metal door

BATMAN

EXT. DOCKING BAY

Derek overlooks a high tech space-craft, that had the slight build of a train. Guards were running all over the place- the engine heats up and Derek is forced to yell over it and towards the pilot

DEREK
Load em’ up- I want these mutagens in the air in less than five minutes!!!!!

GREG/PILOT
Yes sir- take off in 5

DEREK
Get this thing loaded-

Derek looks all around-

DEREK
Any sign of the intruder?

FIXX
No sir- no sign as of yet, he seems to be all over the place-

Batman was on the roof of the plane looking down towards them-

BATMAN
Looking for me?

DEREK
So it is true-

BATMAN
Not just a figment of imagination am I Powers?

DEREK
I’m curious, have you ever played chess?

Batman looks at him curiously


DEREK
I’m just curious- the game is a simple game of war, you’ve got your knights- as well as kings- so you should know already. The knight always makes the wrong moves-

Gun shots shoot out towards Batman, who rolls quickly out of the way-

BATMAN
Well, that was a close one-

Guards walk towards Batman’s last location and then all of a sudden bang- a huge explosion occurs- and they go flying off and into the air.

BATMAN
Everything just blows up in your face now a’ days- doesn’t it?

DEREK
I want him dead- and I want him dead now!!!!!!!!!!

More guards run towards Batman, and then Batman shoots out his batarang and it loops around the guards- and they fall to the floor.

DEREK
Get this plane in the air!!!!!!!!!!

The cargo plane flies off and into the air-

BATMAN
Sorry- but, I have to catch my flight-

Batman flies off and into the air and towards the cargo plane at rapid speeds. Batman lands into the storage room of the plane and then all of a sudden the air craft bursts up and into the air- and then he gets rocketed back. The back door slides open-

BATMAN
Whoa-

Batman hangs onto the craft as it flies off-

EXT. WAYNES-POWERS DOCKING BAY

DEREK
What are you waiting for!!!! Shoot him down!!!!

All of a sudden they open fire

EXT. AIR CRAFT- BACK- POV

Batman hangs on for dear life- and then all of a sudden bullets get shot towards him.

BATMAN
Come on!!!! You gotta be kidding me!!!!!!

The air craft dives down-

BATMAN
You just made the wrong move!!!!

Batman kicks out and lands into the air craft and then he lands into the air craft as it re-angles up right.

BATMAN
Activate glider-

Batman’s wings expand as he stays floating in the air- on his back and then he swings back down. And the wings fold back down.

BATMAN
Time to take out the trash-

Batman kicks the door to the driver’s bay open- and then he looks towards the pilot.

BATMAN
Land this plane now!!!!!

The driver looks back and into his eyes-

BATMAN
Greg?

Greg smiles as he takes out his gun and fires it towards Batman-

GREG
Die Bats!!!!!!

Batman dodges the gun shots and then he shoots a batarang forward- and the gun is knocked out of his hands-

BATMAN
You were saying?

Greg gets up and he runs towards Batman, but he gets kicked backwards- he equips a knife.

GREG
I want to see what color blood you bleed Bats-

Greg slices at Batman’s leg and part of the costume comes off- Batman screams in agony and he falls to his knees-


GREG
Not so tuff anymore are you Bats?

Greg stands over Batman and laughs-

GREG
Let’s see whose beneath that mask of yours-

Greg takes the mask off of Batman, and he steps backward- Terry was Batman.

GREG
No- this can’t be. You can’t be- none of this is real.

TERRY
It is real-

GREG
This has gotta be some bat trick-

TERRY
Greg- it’s real. Give up-

GREG
I’ll never give up Terry- I thought you would know better.

TERRY
Please- just give yourself in.

GREG
Never- we were born criminals- we’re like brothers Terry.

TERRY
Were like brothers-

GREG
And then you got the lucky bail- I was lucky that I made an outside contact- Derek Powers, he told me that if I would work with him that I would be free- that I would be safe. And I am- I’m completely 100% free. After all this time- even you should know Gotham was always a city of crime- and it always will be.

TERRY
I’ll change that-

GREG
So this is what it comes down to friend? You, I and a knife-

GREG
Prepare to die-
(holds the knife over his head about to stab down)

Terry kicks his feet out and Greg falls to the floor and the knife goes flying back. Greg stands next to the pilots controls and he turns the wheel- so that it will crash!

GREG
What are you waiting for?

Greg runs towards Terry and he kicks him in his face- Terry goes flying back- his face bleeding. Greg picks up the knife-

GREG
As I was going to say…. Prepare to die-

Terry looks up into his eyes- and then he switches the plane- and then it bursts into the air.

EXT. WAYNE- POWERS DOCKING BAY

DEREK
What the hell is going on up there!!!!!

INT. PLANE

Greg flies back and then he hits the exit in the back- and it swings open- Terry falls and he holds onto a plane’s railing for support and then he drops down- and kneels next to Greg and extends his hand-

TERRY
Give me your hand-

Greg looks below- and then he looks up towards Terry-

EXT. WAYNE- POWERS DOCKING BAY

DEREK
Shoot it down-

WORKER1
But sir-

DEREK
Now!!!!!!!!!

INT. PLANE

Terry has grasp of Greg’s hand and then all of a sudden- Pow!!!! The plane goes in to crash onto the docking bay!!! And then he looses Greg’s hand- and then he jumps out and he begins to fall at rocket speeds.


BATMAN
Activate glider!!!!!!!

Batman goes flying down towards Greg’s rapid flying body- and then he is too late, Greg hits the bottom and he lays there unconsciencous- shots come flying towards Batman- Batman looks towards the crashing plane

BATMAN
If you’ll excuse me-

The wings come back- and then he drops down, the bullets firing towards him- the plane crashes and then blows up into a cloud of smoke- the workers took off running by, Derek was there coughing- left in the debris, which looked to contain a greenish glow- his eyes fills up with green radiation and then you begin to see his skin peel. The camera refocuses towards batman flying off and into Gotham city.

INT. LABORATORY – WAYNES POWERS – BASEMENT

The camera is in a room that is glowing with a green vibrant light- everywhere the light vibrates slowly and then rapidly- as in an X-Ray. And then you see a doctor using various medical instruments.

DOCTOR
It’s of no use sir-

DEREK
It has to be keep on trying-

DOCTOR
It’s gotten worse-

DEREK
Worse? What do you mean worse!!!!!

DOCTOR
Perhaps you should see for yourself-

The camera rotates around as you see scraps of flesh laying on the floor- as though something- someone was shredding. And then you see the full form of a man standing up- and then you rotate around him, his head was glowing green in flames- his black burning skull inside of the green flames that engulfed it- everything was in green, his arms and legs were solid green- the green pulsing with bright blinking lights- was this man real? Could it be possible? And then you see a remaining part of flesh on the side of his face- it floats to the ground.

DEREK
This is it?

DOCTOR
I’m afraid so sir-

DEREK
This is it!!!!!!!!!!

Derek looks towards his reflection and then he begins to laugh-

DOCTOR
Sir-

Derek keeps on laughing

DOCTOR
We can fix the problem- the radiation should be gone soon, after a flesh molding-

DEREK
How long would the molding last?

SCIENTIST
It depends really-

DEREK
On what?

SCIENTIST
If your heart beat starts to speed up- that would heat your body causing the skin to peel off of your skin.

DEREK
You did a good job, I must say I’m quite impressed- Mr.Fixx…

Mr.Fixx walks towards Derek-

MR.FIXX
Yes sir?

DEREK
I think I have a plan- on how we can get Batman…

MR.FIXX
How would you like me to get rid of him sir?

DEREK
No, no- I don’t want to get rid of him- I want him to join us, just think of the irony in that. Find out everything you know about him- I suggest trying his school first.

MR.FIXX
Yes sir-

DEREK
Oh and Mr.Fixx- find him- by any means necessary…I shall be like a blight among the world-

Batman enters the batcave and looks around, Bruce was there in the chair- looking towards the TV screen.

BRUCE
So- it’s finished?

BATMAN

BRUCE
And so is Batman-

BATMAN

BRUCE
I told you- it isn’t a life for anyone to live- I helped you get what you wanted, your part is done-

BATMAN
I’m not going to just give up

BRUCE
It’s for your own good- Batman’s dead, let him stay buried.

BATMAN
I don’t believe this-

BRUCE
You don’t need to agree with me Terry-

BATMAN
I don’t- but, I need your help-

BRUCE
I can be of no longer assistance to you-

Terry takes off the Batman mask and contemplates the situation


TERRY
I won’t let you-

Terry puts the mask back on

BATMAN
Batman is here to stay this time- for good.

BRUCE
You did what you wanted to do-


BATMAN
It’s not just about me anymore Bruce- today I did something that helped a lot of people- this is my chance to make up for my past sins- you can’t take that away from me-

BRUCE
No- no I can’t.

BATMAN

Bruce looks away

BATMAN (CONT’D)
Ever since you left this city has been in constant turmoil- I would know. Now this is my one chance to help this city- our chance to clean this city up, to bring Gotham back to the day when there wasn’t crime-

The young boy smiled, and then he steps back- seeing a man walk out of the fog flipping a coin-

I had witnessed my parents death-

The man turns to look towards Bruce’s mother

The man stabs Bruce’s mother and she falls down dead-

Bruce begins to run- and the man just stays there watching Bruce run off crying and afraid into the night

I ran- I ran as fast as I could.

EXT.FUNERAL [FLASHBACK]

The boy was in a tux, Alfred Pennyworth standing by him- the boy begins to walk away-

Into ever growing darkness-

And then I began to fall- into what seemed like it would be forever-

I met my destiny, I was to be the Dark Knight, the man that could make a difference in Gotham-

But, I soon learned that no matter what I did-

Bruce looks towards the replicas of his most known villains- and then you see tears fill his eyes.

BRUCE
That crime kept on escalating- it began to come again and again- until I felt like it was all going to be over- but, it never was… I soon realized that the more Batman had won- the more the people of Gotham city suffered- with one villain gone, another would appear- and soon it became a pattern, there was nothing I could do stop it- many of the people that I cared for, ever loved they all died right in front of my eyes- Batman isn’t a job- it’s a life. A life of sorrow and regret- a life of endless pain. It’s no life that I want to cause someone to have again- too many people have died already.

BATMAN
If it wasn’t for you- Gotham would fallen into crime- there is nothing to stop crime from happening, but there is everything to do with preventing- I accept what my life will be like, I did what I wanted to do- but, but- now it’s more than that, I may no longer need the city- but, the city still needs me- and that’s why I will continue being Batman- so I’m asking you- friend, partner- will you help me?

Bruce looks towards him- and Batman takes off his mask and looks into Bruce’s eyes-

BRUCE
I’ll help you- but, don’t say I didn’t warn you, because this- this is just the beginning.

TERRY
Of a new life- that goes beyond the boundaries of crime fighting.

Bruce walks away and then he looks back towards Terry-

Terry walks in and looks towards Bruce

BRUCE
So how did it go?

TERRY

Yeah- Dana broke up with me today…

BRUCE
Things could be worse-

TERRY

BRUCE
Just because Dana broke up with you? Trust me she’ll come back- they always come back.

TERRY

BRUCE

TERRY
I heard that Batman used to get all the girls- but, what about you?

BRUCE
Me?
(laughs)
Batman isn’t easy- you can say that… sooner or later you, not Batman finds a girl- the girl and then she reads up on you… finds your back round- wanting to know what’s going on, only thing is- you can’t tell her- you can never tell her- of anything of any of this-
(looks around the Batcave)
The very person you are- they can never know, and then they leave and you’re left on the prowl searching- other times you’re not lucky. You could fall in love with the very person that you’re supposed to fight-
(under his breath)

TERRY
The catwoman-

BRUCE
Yeah- the catwoman

TERRY
Do you think she’ll take me back?

BRUCE
I know- they all come back, but the question is- when the time comes will you tell her who you truly are?

TERRY

(looks towards the Batman beyond costume)

BRUCE
It’s never easy- never will be, our alter egos may get everything- go on great adventures, get all the girls- but, behind the mask that we all hide behind- only great loss comes-

TERRY

BRUCE
No problem- just remember, when the time comes- who will you choose to be Batman- or Terry McGinnis?

Terry looks away.

INT. WAYNE-POWERS HALLWAYS- NIGHT

A guard walks down the halls locking the doors and then he sees Blight walking towards him.

GUARD2
I know who you are- I’m not afraid of you!!!

BLIGHT
You will be-

GUARD2
I’ll make a deal with you- I’ll tell you who gave the order… and, well- you let me live


BLIGHT
Tell me

GUARD2
Karl- he sent the order!!!! He said we would all die if we stayed!!

BLIGHT
I know… you left me to die- instead.

GUARD2
You have to understand-

BLIGHT
No, I do understand

GUARD2
Thanks man-

BLIGHT
No… thank you

Blight puts out his arm

GUARD2
You promised you wouldn’t kill me-

BLIGHT
When did I ever say that?

GUARD2
Please… no- no!!!

Blight tales the guards neck in his hand, which still had flesh covering it-

BLIGHT
You left me there to die-

GUARD2
We would have died-

BLIGHT
You’re already dead- you just don’t know it yet.

The flesh on Blights hand shatters and falls off- he furthers his grip on the guard’s neck and begins to squeeze, the radiation begins to transfer over and into the guard. Guard2’s veins begin to bulge- and then glow green- his eyes fill up with a green glow.

[Triligors film]

INT. EAST GOTHAM HIGH- GUIDANCE ROOM

Terry walks in towards the guidance room and then he enters and looks towards Ira Billings who was surfing the net. Terry clears his throat- Ira quickly blanks out the computer screen. The man adjusts his glasses.

IRA
Terry, what can I help you with?

TERRY
I’m having some problems-

IRA
Problems? What kind of problems Terry?

TERRY
You know, maybe I should go-

IRA
No, stay it’s alright Terry- you can tell me anything.

TERRY
Anything?

IRA
Anything- I promise- it will be our own little secret ok?

TERRY
I’m well… Agh- I’m changing.

IRA
It’s a very normal thing Terry- for some people it may unfortunately come at a very late time in somebody’s life- it’s a normal thing though Terry… everybody- who is everybody goes through it.

TERRY
Wait- Mr.Billings I’m not talking about puberty-

IRA
Oh right- ok, then what are you talking about? What kind of changes?

TERRY
Well, I’m starting to find out who I truly am- and I…

IRA
What is it?

TERRY
I’m scarred, that I don’t know what to do- I mean, I just don’t know what I should do with my life, not anymore-

IRA
What aren’t you telling me Terry? Stop beating around the bush-



TERRY
I can’t tell you, I can’t tell anyone- only two people know-

IRA
And who is that Terry?

TERRY
I - and Bruce Wayne…

IRA
Bruce Wayne? I’m surprised you even know the man-

TERRY
So am I-

IRA
So what is it Terry?

TERRY
He offered me a job-

IRA
Ridiculous- Bruce Wayne has been retired for many years…

TERRY
I know- he’s thinking of reopening his business-

IRA
Wayne enterprises?

TERRY
No- something greater than that, something he hasn’t ever told anyone-

IRA
And what is this secret Terry?

TERRY
He’s-

IRA
He’s what?

TERRY
Ba-

IRA
It’s okay, I won’t tell anyone- I promise.

TERRY
I’m sorry, I have to go-

Terry gets up and is about to leave when



IRA
Terry, don’t forget- if you have any problems you can always come to me.

Terry exits the room. Ira’s secretary walks in-

SECRETARY
Ira- you have a call on line 2, it’s your wife.

Ira nods and picks up the phone.

IRA
Hello-

WIFE
Ira- I want a divorce…

IRA
What?

WIFE
Things are just not working out like they used to, I’m sorry but- this is for the best.

IRA

WIFE
I’m sorry-

IRA
Please don’t do this-

WIFE

IRA
Please don’t do this!!!!

Ira was too late she had hung up, Ira begins itching as his face was becoming red with hatred, and you could see in his eyes- the shut off of power for good- and the beginning of great- great evil.

IRA
I’ll show you- I’ll show all of you…

INT. WAYNE-POWERS HALLWAYS- SECURITY ROOMS

Guard3 looks into a security room and smiles- every thing was perfectly calm.

GUARD3
The boss is going to like this-

Derek walks up behind him.

DEREK
Is everything as planned?

GUARD3
Calm as a dessert

DEREK
Perfect-

Derek’s flesh shatters off-

GUARD3
Oh god-

BLIGHT
You left me there to die-

GUARD3
I-

BLIGHT
To die!!!!! I trusted you with my own life, and you left me there to die!!!!!

GUARD3
Sir-

BLIGHT
I’d like to return the favor…

GUARD3
Please sir, no!!

Blight takes his hand and grabs the guard’s neck and twists it- the neck becomes green and then it breaks apart and falls to the floor.

INT. TERRY MCGINNIS’ MOTHER’S HOUSE

Terry walks in-

TERRY
Mom, I’m home-

All of a sudden Matt walks forward

MATT
Terry-

TERRY
Yeah?

MATT
You said you could help me-


TERRY
I did- didn’t I?

MATT
Please Terry- I’m begging you- please help me…

TERRY
What is it?

MATT
I need your help-

TERRY
Shoot.

MATT
Well, you see there’s this boy that I know and he likes this girl- and well, he’s afraid that she doesn’t like him- but, he wants to ask her out, but-

TERRY
Let me guess the boy is you-

MATT
Ok, how did you know that?

TERRY
I’m a genius- so who’s the girl?

MATT
Emily-

TERRY
Emily? The next door neighbor- Emily?

MATT
Yeah- why?

TERRY
Nothing, I just never thought-

MATT
So can you help me Terry?

TERRY
Jeez- I don’t know…

MATT

TERRY
I’ll tell you what- you work up the guts to ask her, and I’ll take you both anywhere you want to go-

MATT

TERRY

TERRY

MATT
Cool- The cruel die hardest, the newest James Bond movie is-

TERRY
Matt- actually, there’s something you should know about girls-

INT. EAST GOTHAM HIGH- HALLWAYS

Terry and Dana are walking down the hallways-

TERRY
Dana- I’m sorry about running off the other night-

DANA
I’m afraid that’s not going to work this time Terry-

TERRY
Please, just give me a chance to make it up to you-

DANA
How?

TERRY
I bought two tickets to Speed racket-

DANA
You think it’s going to be that easy?

TERRY
No- I hope it is going to be that easy- so what do you say?

DANA

INT. GUIDANCE OFFICE

Ira Billings was working at his computer, the door opens and Derek Powers steps in- Ira adjusts his glasses nervously.

IRA
Hello- agh… may I help you?

DEREK
You have something I want-

IRA
What is it money?

DEREK
No- I want information on one of your students-
(smiles)

IRA
I can’t give you that information-

Derek clears his throat

DEREK
Mr. Fixx-

Mr.Fixx walks in and punches towards Ira, so that he is holding him up by his shirt collar in the air-

DEREK
You were saying?

IRA
What is you want to know?

DEREK
Everything-

IRA
On who?

DEREK
Terry McGinnis-

Ira is released and he sits down at the computer and begins to type- Derek sits in the chair watching as Ira worked on the computers-

DEREK
Where will he be?


IRA
Let’s see- tonight is Gotham’s final game in Speed Lacross- I’m thinking he’ll be there-

DEREK
You’ve been of great help Ira-
(gets up to leave)
Mr.Fixx- we have a game to attend…

INT. EAST GOTHAM HIGH STADIUM

Speed lacross was playing in the back round and then the buzzer rings. Jerry, the sports news caster, was on the air-

JERRY
That was Speed Lacross- East Gotham High is at a near 32 with West beating them by 2 points at 34- we’ll be right back after the intermission-

The camera travels down to the front row to see Terry and Dana sitting there-

POV DEREK’S SKY CAR

Derek looks towards Mr.Fixx- he claws at his skin and his flesh falls away- Derek was now Blight. His skin pulsed with green radiated glow, around his dark skeleton outline inside of his skin.

BLIGHT
Stand guard-

MR. FIXX
Understood sir-

Blight begins to walk away-

INT. EAST GOTHAM HIGH STADIUM- MEETING

Nelson looks towards his coach giving a speech

COACH
This is your final game here at East Gotham- you want to win don’t you? This final game is what we’ve all been waiting for- let’s go out with a win!!! Doing what ever it takes.

NELSON
(silently)
Whatever it takes-

INT. EAST GOTHAM HIGH STADIUM

JERRY
The teams enter back and onto the playing field

Speed lacross continues to play out until- Crash!!! The ceiling begins to fall apart as Blight jumps through, looking back and forth-

BLIGHT
I am looking for a Mr.McGinnis-

Terry looks towards Dana in the crowd

TERRY
I’ll be right back-
(He runs off)

BLIGHT
Where is he?

Batman jumps down from the ceiling above-

BATMAN
Clap on- clap off the Blinky

BLIGHT
Batman!
(frowns)

BATMAN
What? Expecting someone else?

Blight takes out a gun and shoots the ceiling- the crowd runs off in a panic-

BLIGHT
It’s time to join your father-

Batman frowns

BLIGHT (CONT’D)
You look as though you’ve just seen a ghost!

BATMAN
I saw you die-

BLIGHT
Do I look dead to you?

BATMAN
How-

BLIGHT
When the mutagen melded itself into my DNA strands it was able to be stopped and cured, but – you can never truly get rid of a disease, now a Bat… that’s a different story- I didn’t come here to fight, I came here to give you an offer- join me, I’ll give you one day to choose hero… in one day- I expect an answer.

Blight disappears and Batman leaves.

[Triligors film]

INT. BATCAVE

Terry walks in-

TERRY
You were right-

BRUCE
I’m always right-

TERRY
But- I think…

BRUCE
What is it?

TERRY
I’m afraid that Derek Powers is still alive-

BRUCE
I heard- he’s the sole survivor, do you know what that means?

TERRY
That he was the only one left-

BRUCE
Exactly-

TERRY
But, that can’t be- when I left everyone escaped safely- but…

BRUCE
See- it always gets worse…

TERRY
Are you saying that he killed everyone that was there?

BRUCE
They ran off didn’t they?

TERRY
What are you saying Bruce?

BRUCE
Imagine that you were left to die- what would you do?

TERRY
Probably feel betrayed-… he killed them-

BRUCE
Correct-


TERRY
But why would he?

BRUCE
It’s never that easy- but, that’s not our job, that’s for a scichologist to find out- what we need to do is

TERRY
Get him off of the streets- I’m going to be gone tonight Bruce… before everything goes from bad

BRUCE

INT.WAYNE-POWERS MEETING ROOM

Derek walks into a room of guards.

DEREK
You have all been working hard- so I decided to give you all a raise-

The guards smile, the Stephanie walks in

STEPHANIE
Sir?

DEREK
But, as you all know Batman was here the other day-

The guards agreed

DEREK
Good you all remember- if you’ll all just meet me on the bottom floor-

The guards cheer

DEREK
I knew they would agree-

Guards enter the elevator

DEREK
Is that all of them?

Stephanie shakes her head “yes”-

DEREK
Good-

Derek turns around putting on his sun glasses-

DEREK
I suggest you look away-

INT. WAYNE-POWERS ELEVATOR

The guards were in the elevator- the elevator music playing and then all of a sudden boom!!!! The elevator rumbles as though it was just hit by a bomb- and then it reaches the bottom floor and opens- with a ding a flash of green light overcomes the elevator and then you see right in front of your eyes the guards evaporate into skeletons in a green glow and then their bones drop to the ground.

INT. WAYNE-POWERS MEETING ROOM

Derek smiles

DEREK
It’s done- prepare for the party in two nights.

STEPHANIE
What party?

Derek tips his wine glass-

DEREK
Wayne-Powers parade-
(he smiles tipping his wine glass to make a
toast)
In two nights- Batman will be no more… that is if he refuses-

STEPHANIE
Refuses what?

DEREK
To join us- he better make the right decision…

[Triligors film]

EXT. GOTHAM CITY TRAM- NIGHT

It was a late night over the Gotham sky. The tram goes rushing by the screen and then the camera zooms through the glass panels to reveal Terry there- waiting.

INT. GOTHAM CITY TRAM- NIGHT

NEWSCASTER
There have been various sightings of a man that they now call Blight, the most recent was at East Gotham High- we have Nelson Nash, one of the school’s top athletes, here to tell us of the events the took place-
(looks towards Nash)

Terry sighs as he looks out the window and the all of a sudden, zzzz the train comes to a halt, Terry looks around and then the lights begin to flicker.

TERRY
What the hell?

And then all of a sudden there comes a resonating vibrating laugh-

BLIGHT (O.C.)
I can sense your presence-

Terry looks around, kids were scarred and their parents were trying to comfort them.

BLIGHT (O.C.)
Don’t even think of running away-

Terry looks out the windows-

BLIGHT (O.C.)
It is useless-

Terry once again looks for a door, but he finds none within easy access.

BLIGHT (O.C.)
They must know who you are- they all should know!!!!

Terry looks over towards the parents of the kids- and then he nods his head.

TERRY
Stay calm- everything will be alright-
(looks towards the exit)
Go-

The parents pick up their children and run off for the exit.

BLIGHT (O.C.)
You did a very noble thing- you should be proud of yourself Terry.

Terry looks around

TERRY
Where are you? You got what you wanted- it’s only you and I now…

No answer

TERRY (CONT’D)
Where are you!!!!

All of a sudden <POP OUT> a green radiating hand punches through the top of the tram and yanks Terry up and onto the top with his hand around his neck. Blight lets go and Terry falls to the ground almost suffocating.

EXT. GOTHAM CITY TRAM- NIGHT

BLIGHT
So- this is what it has come down to is it?

TERRY
What do you want?

BLIGHT
I want you to join me-

TERRY
Join you!!! A second ago you tried to kill me-

BLIGHT
Trust me- I would never want to hurt you, not yet anyways-
(begins to walk around on the top of the tram)

Terry rolls to his side and then he stands up-

TERRY
What makes you think I’ll join you?

BLIGHT
Because I can offer you something- something beyond your wildest beliefs, a new life- one without pain or suffering… I can bring your dad back Terry-

Terry stares towards Blight.

TERRY
I don’t believe you-

BLIGHT
You don’t? We can ask him that when we go to meet him in his office- you can tell him how you thought he was dead.

TERRY
I saw his dead laying corpse-

BLIGHT
What the mind sees and what the heart hears is something entirely different, for you see Terry- you are right about something, your father is dead- but… but I can give you a second chance-

TERRY
What do you want?

BLIGHT
Simple- I want you to fight for me, and in return- you will get your father back.

TERRY
I’ll never join you-

BLIGHT
You won’t? I’m offering everything anyone has ever dreamed of, having your father back is just the peak of the iceburg kid, I’m talking money- power, the true essences of life. But, yet you refuse?

TERRY
I refuse because I fight for justice-

BLIGHT
Let me tell you something about justice- something that I know you, yourself used to believe.. Gotham city has always been a city of crime-
(punches Terry in the gut)

Terry falls to the ground

BLIGHT
And no flying rodent is ever going to change that- so I’m asking you nicely this time, join me Terry-

TERRY
I’ll never turn my back on this city-

BLIGHT
Never? Those are quite strong words Terry- there is nothing you can ever do, don’t you realize that? Everybody is a criminal, even you- so just give up being Batman and enjoy yourself- god knows that’s what old Mr.Wayne did-
(he smiles)
He gave up because he was too old, you didn’t hear about his final story did you? How the life of a hero truly ends?

TERRY
What are you talking about?

BLIGHT
He didn’t tell you, surprise- surprise, on one of his last missions that he went on he, himself.. Batman was held hostage by a couple of street thugs that he would have died to defend in his good old days- turning against him? Now glory be this is not the final chapter that you heard- but, there it is in the flesh- the true life of a hero, so I’m asking you to join me- you won’t be disappointed.

TERRY
And if I don’t?

BLIGHT
I’ll kill you-
(he smiles)

TERRY
Then kill me- because Batman will never fight against the side he would have died defending, I bet your research told you that-

BLIGHT
Your choice-

Blight jumps off of the tram

BLIGHT
And so it begins-

The camera circles around Terry standing there, looking down- the wind blowing in his face.

[Triligors film]

INT. TERRY’S BEDROOM

Terry wakes up, he looks over towards a newspaper and then towards a picture of Dana- and then back…

BRUCE (V.O)
When the time comes- who will you choose to be Batman- or Terry McGinnis?

Terry looks towards the city…

EXT. NIGHTS OF GOTHAM

Terry is standing on a rooftop next to a gargoyle overlooking the city-

INT.DANA’S BEDROOM.

Dana was sleeping in her room, when all of a sudden her window opens and gusts of wind flies in- Dana gets up and walks towards the windows.

DANA
Hello? Is anyone there?

A black gloved hand comes across her mouth and then she sees Batman there shushing her- and then he lets go, Dana begins to walk backwards-

DANA
What do you want?

Batman walks in and then he takes off his mask- to reveal the face of Terry McGinnis.

DANA
Terry-

Dana walks towards Terry thinking that this wasn’t real-

DANA
It’s not going to work Terry-

TERRY
Dana, I’m Batman-

DANA
And I’m the Tooth fairy-

TERRY
Dana, I’m telling you the truth..

Dana looks into her eyes and then she sees that he was being honest with her-

DANA
Terry?

TERRY
Yeah?

DANA
No- this can’t be real…

TERRY
Dana- I’m sorry, but-

DANA
Why didn’t you tell me?

TERRY
I didn’t think it would ever come to this-

DANA
So you weren’t ever going to tell me-

TERRY
I couldn’t- I’m afraid you might be in danger-

DANA
So you decided to tell me you were Batman when I was in danger?

TERRY
Dana, please hear me out-

DANA
So, has all this time been a lie too? What are you going to tell me next? That Bruce Wayne was-

Terry remains quiet.

TERRY
I know it’s hard to accept- I didn’t believe it when I saw it either. You were right- you were right all along.

DANA
But, why didn’t you tell me before?

TERRY
I couldn’t, anyone who knows who I am- their lives are in danger. You’re the only one that knows-

A tear comes down her eyes.

DANA
You don’t need to do this-

TERRY
No… I do- it’s my way of giving back to this city what it’s given me for so many years- a home.

DANA
Terry-

TERRY
I know, but I have to- I’m sorry… Dana- you and I no longer matter- no, I no longer matter-
(looks out the window)
They are the ones that matter- they look towards me for protecting them and they are in danger- the city that I love is in danger, they look towards me to be their Tomorrow Knight- there is a man out there, threatening their lives- it’s up to me to stop him…
(looks down)
Because I’m the only one that can- I no longer matter Dana…

DANA
You don’t need to make sacrifices-

TERRY
No, you’re wrong- I already traded, they go before me- I’m their tomorrow knight- I’m sorry Dana.

DANA
Who comes first?

TERRY
Everyone, but me-

Dana wraps her arm around Terry’s shoulders, both of them preparing for what could be their final night, and then Dana feels a microchip on Terry’s neck.

DANA
Terry- what is that?

Terry rolls over and reaches his hand for his neck and then he finds the microchip- he pulls hard on it yelling in pain and then it comes off.

DANA
Are you okay?

Terry observes the microchip-



TERRY
(under his breath)
No-


DANA
What is it?

Terry looks into her eyes-

TERRY
He knows where to find me, wait- if he knows where to find me…

DANA
What is it?

TERRY
He knows where the Batcave is- I’m sorry Dana, I have to go…

Terry runs towards the window-

DANA
Wait-

Terry looks back towards her and then they both kiss.

DANA
Good luck-

Terry puts his mask back on and then he jumps off of the window sill and into the Gotham night skies.

[Triligors film]

INT. BATCAVE

Bruce was working at his computer, and then the Batcave entrance door opens- Blight looks down towards Bruce clapping his hands.

BLIGHT
So this is it! The almighty batcave! Boy, oh boy- you really had people fooled Bruce.

BRUCE
Derek Powers-

BLIGHT
Expecting someone else old friend? I might say- I remember your final days of protecting this city- so many coincidences; Bruce Wayne and Batman- all dieing at the same time.

BRUCE
What do you want from me Powers?



BLIGHT
From you I want nothing- but, instead I want someone from you

BRUCE
Terry-

BLIGHT
Terry- seems like you’re training him to be the next Batman

BRUCE
That’s what he wants-

BLIGHT
I see- but, there’s something that everybody wants more-

BRUCE
What’s that?

BLIGHT
A second chance- a life that he has only dreamed about.

BRUCE
He’ll never join you-

BLIGHT
I know he might not willingly join me- but, if there’s something standing in his way I’m sure he’ll just have no choice- it was good meeting you Bruce. Maybe we’ll meet again sometime- who knows… But, for now I really have to get back to more… pressing matters at hand- Mr.Fixx please show Mr. Wayne the way out-

Blight leaves and then Mr.Fixx walks towards Bruce smiling.

EXT. GOTHAM SKIES- NIGHT/ THUNDER STORM

Batman runs across the rooftops his hear pounding, pushing himself forward-

INT. BATCAVE

Mr.Fixx punches towards Bruce, but Bruce ducks out of the way- Mr.Fixx yanks Bruce up by his neck, strangling him- Bruce begins to kick out trying to get freed, but he is unable to- and then Mr.Fixx throws Bruce across the room and Bruce slams against the computer equiptment, which falls to the floor.

EXT. GOTHAM SKIES- NIGHT/ THUNDER STORM

Batman is still running the roofs of Gotham, and then he see’s a white dove in front of him fly off and into the night sky.

INT. BATCAVE

Bruce yanks for his cane and he stands back up, dusting himself off- Bruce walks towards Mr. Fixx and then he uses the cane to knock Fixx to the ground, Mr.Fixx stands back up and grabs the cane and breaks it in half, smiling he turns towards Bruce.

BRUCE
Do what you came here to do- you’ll never win.

EXT. WAYNE MANOR- NIGHT/ THUNDERSTORM

Batman was at Wayne Manor and he runs up the driveway-

INT. BATCAVE

Bruce was laying on the floor, with a smiling face laughing, with an over exaggerated grin, Mr.Fixx walks over his laughing body and goes to hide.

EXT. WAYNE MANOR- NIGHT/ THUNDERSTORM

Terry runs towards the doors and then he swings the doors open and runs in, he looks towards the entrance to the batcave- it was open; Terry runs towards it frantic.

TERRY
Bruce!!!!!!!!

Terry runs towards the batcave’s entrance and runs in-

INT. BATCAVE

The batcave was destroyed, the computers were shattered, but what made matters worse from what Terry could see so far was the words “HAHAHA” spray painted all over the cave- leading up to Bruce, as Terry runs further he begins to see traces of Bruce laying on the floor laughing- the words “HAHAHA” all around him…

TERRY
Bruce!!!!!!

Terry runs towards Bruce’s laughing body.

TERRY
Bruce can you hear me?

Bruce continues to laugh- Terry gets up and then he looks towards a note written on a blue work station post-it note, on it was Wayne Powers Industries as the title of company- and then on the note written in red pen was “Here’s the antidote- I’ll see you tonight… we’ll be waiting.”

TERRY
(under his breath)
Dana-

Terry quickly takes the antidote which was inside of a shot injector, he examines it and then he looks towards Bruce scarred- this might be a cure, or he might kill him… Terry injects it into Bruce’s arm and then pulls the shot point out of Bruce’s arm, Bruce stopped laughing and fainted.


TERRY
It was a diversion-

EXT. DANA’S BEDROOM

Dana was sitting on her bed, flipping through the year book and then all of a sudden a knocking sound comes at her windows again, Dana stands up and walks over to the window and opens it- she steps out onto the window’s balcony and then she sees that it wasn’t Batman- it was Blight. He snatches her and pulls her into his flying car, she screams. The flying car quickly flies off and into the night skies.

INT. BATCAVE

Terry looks down towards Bruce and then a muscular shadow of a man comes up behind him. Terry senses what was coming and rolls out of the way- and then he looks towards Mr.Fixx.

MR.FIXX
There is no where left to look- I killed your father, and now it’s time to end your life as well-

Terry looks into his eyes with anger, he charges towards Mr.Fixx, but Mr.Fixx steps out of the way as Terry goes slamming forward, he stops and looks behind- there was Mr.Fixx cracking his muscles- he looks towards Terry and then he walks towards him.

BRUCE (V.O)
Patience is the key. Forget your surroundings, forget who you are- fight, but do not think-

Terry just stands there as Mr.Fixx walks towards him, Mr.Fixx punches towards Terry- but, Terry ducks out of the way and then he round-house kicks Mr.Fixx- Mr.Fixx falls towards the floor and then he gets up. Terry walks towards him, Mr.Fixx punches towards Terry, Terry slides below him and then he back-flips in the air and pushes Mr.Fixx down onto the ground by pushing his head forward. Now they were on the edge of a cliff of the batcave- Mr.Fixx begins to laugh-

MR. FIXX
You already lost-

TERRY
I never loose-

Mr.Fixx stands up and points a gun towards Terry- Terry looks towards Mr.Fixx angry, Mr.Fixx is about to press the trigger, when Terry runs towards him and kicks his foot out- the gun fires as it gets knocked out of the way- the bullet hits the cave wall, Mr.Fixx laughs.

TERRY
(laughing)
It is funny- isn’t it?

Terry kicks his foot forward and then Mr.Fixx goes falling off of the cave wall- he grabs onto the edge of the cliff, Terry grabs his hand and then Mr.Fixx lets go and he falls to his death- Terry stands back up and walks towards Bruce- Bruce opens his eyes and he coughs- Terry rushes over towards him. Bruce looks up and into his eyes-

BRUCE
The Waynes-Powers parade… it’s tonight-

Terry is now mad and he looks to the top of the Batcave’s rocky ceiling and then the camera flies out from Terry’s glance back into the cave within the cave.

EXT. WAYNE-POWERS GOTHAM STREETS

See parade floats floating around in the night sky, with news cameramen rolling footage, applauding crowds of all ages- it was packed with people.

INT. BATCAVE

Terry stands up and then he puts on his mask-

BRUCE
Don’t it’s too dangerous-

BATMAN
I have to- it ends tonight- once and for all.

[Triligors film]

EXT. WAYNE-POWERS PARADE

The floats continue to wave around in the air, a camera clicks on and a man in a suit, slightly balding walks to the microphone and taps on it-

CAMERAMAN (O.C.)
And your on-

The man clears his throaght and looks into the camera. His name was Ian Peek.

IAN
Hello and welcome to the 15th annual Wayne-Powers industry parade, this is your host Ian Peek coming to you now once again from channel 7 news. Tonight we will all celebrate as these magnificent floats fly past us brightening up the streets of this dark- dark city… as they said in the good old days- it has just begun, we’ll be back after these messages.

CAMERAMAN
And we’re clear-

Ian walks forward and he sees a float coming in-

IAN
So this is it?

CAMERAMAN
Right there…

The float begins to come towards them-

IAN
He didn’t go back on what he told us-
(puts on the gas mask)
Let’s light up this town-

The float comes closer- and closer…

EXT. WAYNE- POWERS PARADE- NIGHT- SKY

POV DEREK’S FLYING CAR

Derek Powers was in the flying car driving in towards a helipad on the top of Wayne-Powers industries, he holds Dana firmly with his hand.

DANA
Let me go freak!!!!

Derek looks towards her and laughs-

DEREK
Soon… soon- there will be no Batman to save this city!!!!!!

DANA
Let me go!!!!!!!
(gets free and hits Derek)

DEREK
You made the wrong move girl-

Derek holds Dana’s arm with more strength as though he was going to crush the bones-

DEREK
Don’t do that again-

EXT. GOTHAM NIGHT SKIES

Batman runs across the rooftops and then he jumps up into the air and lands onto a flag pole he swings himself back and forth and then he jumps up and forward, activating the batwings as he takes off rapidly into the night sky- and then he lands again and looks down towards the incoming float, it was of a chipmonk chewing on an acorn- Batman activates his magnifying glass eye sight.

POV BAT-MAGNIFIER

The magnifier goes out over the chipmonk and then Batman sees something that catches his attention- on the front of the acorn was an opening plug, zooms further- there was a green gas substance within the acorn.

BATMAN (O.C.)
He’s planning to kill the whole city-

EXT. WAYNE-POWERS HELIPAD

Derek yanks Dana out of the sky car and then, not releasing her arm, he yanks her with him over to an entrance inside of Wayne-Powers industries.

EXT. WAYNE-POWERS PARADE

Ian looks towards the coming float smiling- he puts on sun glasses and watches as the float crept it’s way forward.

IAN
I wonder what I’m going to do when I’m one of the last people alive in this city-

Ian and the cameraman laugh-

IAN (CONT’D)
Our fate is coming closer my friend- soon, we will be the only ones left-
(smiles proudly)

INT. WAYNE-POWERS LABORATORY

Derek looks towards Dana

DEREK
You should thank me-

DANA
Thank you- you’re going to kill me!!!

DEREK
No- stupid girl, it’s not you that I want- it’s the bat that I want!!!!!!!

EXT. WAYNE-POWERS PARADE

Ian looks out over the crowd of people that were applauding as the floats drove by- ooh-ing and agh-ing and the sights in front of them. Batman drops down behind Francis- Francis looks behind- no one, then Batman was standing in front of him…


BATMAN
Looking for me?


IAN
Why if it isn’t the Dark Knight himself- in the flesh, I always thought you were just a legend-

BATMAN
I’m not-

IAN
Come here often?

BATMAN
You can say that-

IAN
Any particular reason tonight?

BATMAN
I came out to enjoy the sights-

IAN
This parade will just be the beginning-

BATMAN
Where is he?

IAN
Where is who?

BATMAN
Don’t play dumb with me Francis-
(yanks on his shirt collar)
I know you work for Derek Powers… where is he?

IAN
I heard that he’s working late- with a very- very
(smiles demonically)
Special girl-

BATMAN
Dana-

IAN
Is that her name?

BATMAN
Where is she?

IAN
You won’t kill me, Batman doesn’t kill-

BATMAN
That’s where you’re wrong-

Ian looks around and gulps

IAN
Ok- look I heard he was taking her into the very heart of the compound-

BATMAN
Where’s that?

IAN
Top floor- dining chambers.

BATMAN
Thanks-
(punches Francis out)

The cameraman runs towards him, Batman ducks and round-house kicks the cameraman back, he goes crashing against the chipmonk float- Batman runs over and picks up the camera and then turns it on- his face appears where the parade live coverage was playing up above.

BATMAN
There’s poisonous gas in the parade float- go! There’s-

Batman looks around, trying to find another way- because they didn’t believe him… and then bang a gun shot is shot towards the acorn- it begins to leak greenish black gas, people begin to run off-

BATMAN
Now they listen-

A shot rings past him-


BATMAN
Wo- wo, who are you shooting at!!!!

Another shot-

BATMAN
Wrong question-

Guards with machine guns run through the escaping crowd and fire towards Batman, Batman presses a button, a gas mask appears over his mouth- gun shots keep shooting past him, there were many holes in the float- Batman shoots a batarang towards the float harness and then it disconnects the cables attached to the float- the chipmonk begins to fly straight up and into the night sky above. Batman stays there looking around- more bullets shoot towards him, Batman runs towards the float’s cable and hangs on as he is pulled up and into the air.

INT. WAYNE-POWERS DINING ROOM

The dining room was large and it looked like it was a fancy restaurant more than a dining room. It was surrounded by glass on all sides, the whole room to be made of glass- even the marble flooring, Derek was at a bar side of the room, holding out a wine glass in the air as though he was going to make a toast.

DEREK
To the death of a bat-

Derek dinks the wine- then throws the wine glass to the marbled flooring- the glass of wine shatters. Derek walks over to Dana and places his left hand on her right shoulder.

DANA
Get away from me!!!!!

DEREK
Open your eyes- soon Gotham will be gone, and I with my DNA mutagen will become the ultimate power in this city-
(releases his hand from her shoulder)
I will be like a god over Gotham city!!! And there will be nothing-… nothing to be able to stop me- not even Batman, because after tonight… Batman will work for me- and me… alone!

DANA
He will never join you-

DEREK
Now you see Miss Tan- that’s where you’re wrong… Terry has a weakness- you. He will do anything to make sure you are safe- even kill people.
(smiles at the very thought- the Batmurderer)

DANA
You’re insane!!!

DEREK
Thank you-
(drinks more wine)
People look towards “insane” as being corrupt… evil- but, evil is also the smartest, most ruthless… most powerful force man kind has ever known. If you call me insane- you’ll never be able to survive… for you see Miss Tan this is a doggy dog world- if you’re not ruthless you will be eaten alive! It’s general business politics- the one that has the most power, and the most contacts- and one who does not care about what happens to everyone else… is the one that always survives- I believe Darwin was correct when he stated that we evolved and stayed alive because of the fittest- and now in these days… the fittest are always the cruelest-


DANA
You’re a monster!!!


DEREK
I know-
(smiles)
It’s wonderful, isn’t it?

Derek walks over to the giant glass overlooking the stampeding parade- he smiles laughing.

DEREK (CONT’D)
It’s an inspiring sight isn’t it? But, it gets better- this is just the beginning
(tips his wine glass in another toast)
Cheers to the dieing city-

All of a sudden Batman kicks forward through the window, forcing Derek to the ground.

BATMAN
Dana- go!!!

Dana looks towards Batman and then she runs off- Derek grabs Batman’s throught and begins to squeeze.

DEREK
You made a mistake coming here tonight-

Derek’s flesh explodes off of his face, once again revealing that of a man radiated with a green vibrant glow.

BLIGHT
A blight seemed to have fallen upon your fortunes my boy-

BATMAN
I was wondering when I would see ol’ Blinky again.

BLIGHT
Die Batman!!!!!
(punches Batman in his face)

Batman goes flying back and against the wall- Blight walks towards his now limp body.

BLIGHT
I’ll ask you one more time- will you join me?

Batman coughs out blood

BATMAN
Never!



BLIGHT
Then you have a choice- either you join me, and stop acting like an arrogant fool, or – the girl dies.

BATMAN
I’ll never join you-

BLIGHT
You’re choice- don’t say I that I didn’t warn you- remember you created this life for yourself!!!! Not me!


INT. WAYNE-POWERS LABORATORY

Dana runs towards the elevator and pounds on the down button. Blight walks towards her from behind- and then Batman comes into view limp-running towards Blight- Blight swats him away as though he was as weak as an insect- Blight comes closer to Dana- and grabs her by her throught and begins to yank her up the wall of the elevator- his hand, now glowing as well has the radiation from Blight travel into Dana- she begins to scream as her skin turns pure white and veins begin to bulge out and begin to become visible. Batman could only watch in horror-

BATMAN
No!!!!!!!!

Blight releases Dana and her body just plummets to the floor as though she weighed nothing.

BLIGHT
It was your choice- and you chose the path of the fool, your little girlfriend would have lived if you hadn’t been so pathetic- now, it’s time to finish what we began that one day on the helipad- where you turned me into this.
(looks towards his radiated skin)
I used to look at it as a curse- but, now I can use it to finally get rid of the one person that could have had the potential of getting rid of all that I struggled to work for!

Batman struggles to get up, but he couldn’t it seemed as though his body was pinned to the ground.

BLIGHT
It is useless- give up… you’re pathetic excuse for a life will soon be over- now look towards the light for your final answer-

Blight begins to walk towards Batman.

[Triligors film]

EXT. BUILDING ROOFTOP - FLASHBACK

Terry and Dana were on a building rooftop- and he was holding her eyes shut-

DANA
When can I look?

Terry leads her over to the wall closest to the building and wipes away cobwebs- it was the Bat signal.

TERRY
Ok- open them.

Terry takes away his hands- and Dana looks in amazement towards the Bat signal

DANA
Is this for real?

TERRY
Batman did exist-

Dana looks towards him

DANA
So- how are you getting over it?

TERRY
I’m getting by-

DANA
What are you going to do?

TERRY
I don’t know yet, I really don’t know-

DANA
If batman still was around- he would be able to clean this city up. He would have been able to help you-


TERRY
Maybe, he still can-
(looks over towards the Bat signal)

DANA
Terry- what is it?

TERRY
Say you knew how to find Batman- and bring him back what would you do?

DANA
Anything- why?

TERRY
I was just wondering-

DANA
So- here it is-

TERRY
Here what is?
(the bat signal blinks on)

DANA
Black rubber-

The camera flies back- showing the shadow of the white Batman signal shining in the sky-

INT. WAYNE-POWERS LABORATORY

Blight smiles as he draws closer to the injured Batman-

BLIGHT
Look towards the light- because when you do, you will be dead- and I… I will be the victor-

Batman looks towards Dana’s body laying there on the ground, he thought it was his fault for her death-

BLIGHT
And when you’re gone- this city will look towards me… as their god!!!!!!

Batman begins to get up.

BLIGHT
So you want to fight? Noble- I approve, but kid it only leads to one thing- you dead.

Batman looks around and just notices that the lights were off- it was the radiation that lighted the way.

BLIGHT
Look into the light… it will be of your inevitable death-

BATMAN
I did look towards the light- but, it wasn’t of death- it was of hope, of justice- of a new life.

BLIGHT
You have made your decision- and every action has an opposite and equal reaction-

BATMAN
Exactly-

Batman runs towards Blight and Blight puts his arm out preparing to strike Batman down with his mighty radiation- but, he was fooled- Batman slides under him as though he was sliding to a base in the game of baseball. Blight looks around towards Batman.


BATMAN
I think I have an idea for you Blight- you should write an autobiography, and I have the perfect title “Me and my radiation.”

BLIGHT
You talk the talk- but, the question is can you fight?

Batman kicks the door open-

BATMAN
Why don’t you follow me- and we’ll find out!!!!!

Batman runs towards the door and runs to the right.

[Triligors film]

INT. WAYNE-POWERS HALLWAY

Batman runs into the cardboard box boxing room- Blight follows him.

INT. CRATE ROOM

Blight looks around, Batman was nowhere in sight-

BATMAN
Let’s fight where this whole thing began!

Blight looks quickly to his left and sees the shadow of Batman entering the secret entrance room.

INT. SECRET ENTRANCE ROOM

Batman adjusts the cable to the hanging rail once again…

BATMAN
You want to fight? Let’s fight!

INT. CRATE ROOM

Blight is at the door- he shoots the power switch and it explodes in static.

COMPUTER
Vents closed-

Blight smiles

INT. SECRET ENTRANCE ROOM

Batman flies forward, but then the cable holds him still, due to the loss in air currents. Blight walks in and grabs the cable- a green glow floods up the cord as it spreads towards Batman. Batman quickly breaks the cord and continues.

INT. WAYNE- POWERS LABORATORY

Dana opens her eyes

INT. WAYNE- POWERS DOCKING BAY

Batman stands on the docking bay’s helipad as Blight walks towards him-


BATMAN
I’m surprised you fit through there-

BLIGHT
You know nothing- but, I- I know everything.

BATMAN
I’m sure you do- that’s why you thought you could rule the city!

BLIGHT
Gotham city is mine!!!!!!

Blight runs towards Batman. Batman punches his Blight with his fist, but Blight blocks the punch grabbing his arm and throwing him back. Batman hits against the bottom wall area lining the roof. Blight walks towards him and picks him up by his throat.

BLIGHT
Funny- I never thought you were this powerless, I expected a challenge- and you’re giving me a pathetic excuse for an enemy.

BATMAN
Yeah? You want to know what’s funnier? You!!!!!

Batman kicks his legs forward and Blight goes flying back against the building. Blight dusts himself off and he smiles seeing a cargo plane- Blight runs towards it and enters.

BLIGHT
Prepare to die Batman!

Bullets come shooting out of the cargo plane’s turret towards Batman, Batman summersaults over the bullets and then he rolls back and shoots forward a batarang it loops around the gun turret. Batman pulls and the turret breaks off. Blight frowns.

BATMAN
You need a plane to fight your battles?

Blight, now madder than ever, exits the plane and looks towards the panting Batman.

BLIGHT
Any requests before you die?

BATMAN
Yeah… go to hell!!!!!

BLIGHT
You will wish you haven’t said that when I’m finished with you.

Blight fires bullets towards Batman non-stop, Batman runs towards Blight, the bullets not even coming close to hitting him- as though he couldn’t get killed by anything. He summersaults forward and then he roundhouse kicks Blight, Blight goes flying in the air and lands at the edge of the roof. Blight looks towards him smiling, and then he shakes his head “no.”

BLIGHT
Now- it’s your turn.

Blight presses a button on the trigger he was holding and the plane begins to explode behind Batman, starting in the front of the plane and working it’s way towards the back, Batman runs besides it trying to escape the flames and then the flames reach the final explosion, boom! The plane’s burst sends Batman flying forward at a rapid speed.

BATMAN
Aghhh!!!

Batman’s face hits against the lower corner wall of the roof’s edge- Blight smiles pulling Batman up by his head. Batman’s mask was torn, his face was bleeding by new scars… Blight presses his hand against the front of Batman’s mask. Terry screams as the transfer of radiation occurs. Terry’s veins pop out of the costume.

BLIGHT
Just let go… and die

Terry closes his eyes, Dana appears from a side entrance running towards them and then she stops in her tracks.

DANA
Terry- fight back, you can defeat him.

Blight smiles and then whispers into Terry’s ears as though enjoying this whole thing in a sick way.

BLIGHT
When you’re dead- I’ll hang her.

Terry opens his eyes. Batman uses his elbow to punch Blight square in the jaw. Blight stumbles backwards. Batman uses this moment to ground-roundhouse-kick Blight back. Blight is stumbles further back and then he stays there breathing heavily towards Batman staring towards him in pure hatred.

BATMAN
You killed too many people already-

Batman runs towards Blight and round-house kicks Blight, Blight goes flying towards the other edge of the roof’s edge, but still he manages to maintain balance.


BATMAN
And you won’t kill me!

Batman shoots a batarang forward and it hooks around Blight- Batman pulls back on it and Blight falls backwards and off of the roof. Blight quickly grabs onto the edge of the roof with both of his hands holding on for dear life.

BLIGHT
Please- show me mercy.

Batman walks towards the roof and he looks down towards Blight and he grabs hold of Blight’s arm and begins to pull him up. Blight reaches the roof again and then he smiles laughing.

BLIGHT
You saved me?

BATMAN
If I had let you die, I would be no better than you are.

BLIGHT
Then you chose the path-
(pulls out his gun)
of death.

Blight aims the gun towards Batman, he attempts to fire- it was blank.

BATMAN
Is that so?

Blight looks towards Batman walking towards him slowly.

BATMAN
Do you see the light yet?

Blight begins to walk back

BATMAN
Well, keep on looking- eventually it will come…

Blight reaches the edge of the roof.

BATMAN
It is the light, of your death-

Blight looks towards the parade below.



BATMAN
It’s time to learn that you messed with the wrong person-

Batman kicks his feet out and Blight goes flying off of the roof and to the parade below. The camera following as his body hits into one of the floats. Batman looks towards Dana, showing no emotion at all.


BATMAN
It’s finally done.

Batman looks away from her and towards the sky above. Dana walks towards him. Batman releases his stress and cares again.

DANA
There it is-

BATMAN
There what is?

DANA
Black rubber.

INT. WAYNES- POWERS OFFICES

A young man, around 20 years old was sitting at the desk that used to be occupied by Derek Powers, his father. The man at hand now was Paxton Powers. He looks towards the men with guns in his office.

PAXTON
Will anyone mind telling me what happened?

GUARD
Mr. Powers you must understand-

PAXTON
My father trusted you, you were the only guards left.

GUARD2
Sir, you must understand

PAXTON
No, that’s where you’re wrong- I do understand.
(shoots 9 guards dead)

REMAINING.GUARDD
Sir?

PAXTON
Your life has been spared-

REMAINING.GUARD
What do you want me to do sir?

PAXTON
I want you to find this Batman!!!!!
(slams his hand against the desk)
And when you do… KILL HIM!!!!!!!!!

EXT. EAST HIGH GRADUATION

See graduation hats flying in the air, Terry was the only one not enjoying the day- this wasn’t his life. Not anymore- he looks towards Bruce Wayne who nods towards him.

EXT. FUNERAL

Terry is looking down towards his father’s grave, Bruce calmly waiting beside him.

TERRY (VO)
I made a promise once- to never give up, to save this city, and through Bruce’s help I have succeeded and I will always be protecting Gotham City as a winged crusader- the tomorrow knight.

The camera zooms away from Terry, and you can see the winds and trees howling around and blowing furiously in the wind.

FADE TO BLACK

Well, i have read the first 20 posts you made.

Here is some feedback:

1. how old is he suppose to be? He goes at high school, but he has been in jail long ago? Doesnt make sense but ok. Make him in the mid 20's.

2. Is one liners all he have? WAY to many, and bad one liners. Just got to repetive. Some is ok, but you know...

3. How long was that training? Like one day? Since his mother says "where have you been? its 1.00 AM" Abit stupid that he became a master over night. Make that longer.

4. It does remind ALOT of Zorro with Antonio Banderas.

5. Please do not include sci fi flying cars and stuff.....This is batman, not starwars.

6. Cloaking device? Please no.

Thats some comments. There is alot of good stuff there in your screenplay, but also alot that needs to be fixed imo. I'll read the rest later.

anyway, i've read over only 3 of your posts. I'll read a bit more later. But just a few things, make the opening way longer, this is the first time you're seeing batman, build it up and create excitment for our first glimpse of batman. Also, i thought everyone knew about batman (what with the bat signal and such) so why would his existance be in question by anyone. Also i dont think anyone would know Vicky Vale was going out with Batman/Bruce Wayne. I will read more a little later.

1) He’s 19 years old, jailed for one year- at age 17, probabtion for 1 year: age 18
2) I would encourage improv. On those lines by the actual actor himself.
3) It’s called a music monologue, it’s a way to pass time: in the movie SWAT their training was about 3 weeks of training, maybe even more- but, the monologue shortened the time span to continue with the actual story faster. I understand, however, how this could be confusing on page.
4) Yeah, I see your point… older zorro teaching a newer zorro, that bit was from the cartoon… older Bruce training Terry- I had to keep that part… but, yeah I see how you could have gotten that impression
5) The cartoon and story takes place in the future, it’s not Star Wars future type stuff, it’s a future similar to the future of Minority Report. The not too distant future…
6) The cloaking device was part of the show, don’t worry it’s not used that much, it is a device that is hardly used at all- that’s the only scene that even has the cloaking device.

And to answer your question Se7en, Batman has been gone for Terry’s entire life, in retirement for more than 20 years… that’s why the teens under 20 think Batman is just an urban legend that their parents told them… because Batman was no where for their entire lives.

I'll give you more feedback when i have read the 2nd half of your screenplay.

And, i now understand that Music monologue. For me (that ain a writer) it did look strange in words. But looks better now.

About the future thing. I just think it should still keep the dark feel you know.

It's going to be kind of hard to "get the future" right.... I'm looking for a mix between Minority Report, Anime lighting and the Fifth Element. 5th element- due to the size of the buildings.

But its good that your getting so much practice writing in at such a young age. It'll help in the future. I've written a few things (actually alot, but -- ) and the more you write the better you get.

Keep at it. I myself look to get into the film industry, but I am more down to reality then you, meaning I understand that theres more of a chance I won't make it big then will, but hope I have....

LordOfKings, I've also written alot- just didn't post it, unless you mean really really alot.... I've been writing since I was 13 years old. A screenplay per month, 90-120 pages.... once even 220 pages, by accident it was that long... also, you don't want to be a household name right? I mean, there's alot of job opportunities out there, and I want to be primarily a director in the film industry. But, if you never give up you'll definitely make it- the only ones who don't make it are the ones who give up. It takes alot of years to get into the profession, those who wait are those who are rewarded. In this business, patience is the key. As well as confidence, you have both of those and the chances are 95% that you will make it.
