The Danger Guild (Sign-Up)

The newest fan fic from myself. The Danger Guild is about a group of people that fight crime from behind the shadows without getting the recognition that they deserve, risking their lives for the safety of mankind and never getting heard of for it. This is not a comedy, so, if you don't want to read it, that is fine. I will not be showing my funny side in this one, this is strictly action/adventure. Although, there is a little comedy in every action film, so, there may be some subtle comedy. I'm only allowing this sign up to go to roughly 20 because the Mods do America had too many and I could barely keep up.

The first 20 (21 including myself) will get in, and if there are extras I'll choose the people that will be in it.

No, it's a story that only I'll be telling, but, you can join the cast.

Here's how it will be broken down:

- 7 members on the team
- 1 supervillain (boss character)
- 3 or 4 henchmen (depends on how many people sign up)
- professor (leader of the Danger Guild)
- scientist (develops the weapons/technology that the Danger Guild will use)
- a few baddies (just random crime)
- extras if there's that many people interested

And I should mention that I'm really excited to write this, so, there's a good chance that this will turn into a trilogy.

Not really, you're exactly that, the Independed Crime Faction. Your group does things like robberies to benefit the group, gang wars, whatever. You're group plays a bigger part then you'd probably expect.

I honestly don't know, I've got a fairly big list of major action scenes, one for every chapter/episode/scene. And some scenes won't have a huge action scene. And some action scenes will be longer then one chapter.

It's just a description of your character. Meaning, you're outgoing like you are on the boards, and that you'd rather fight close in with a handgun or hand to hand instead of using a sniper rifle or something from a distance.

Yes, regular people.... sort of. You'll figure it out in the first couple of chapters.

Every member of the team has been equipped with a glock, a hunting knife, and a weapon that is "tailored" to them. Meaning you'll have a weapon that only you are an expert with. For example, the sniper on the DG (Samo) has a high powered assault rifle fitted with a scope capable of taking down enemies at 2000 yards. You'll find out what your weapon is in the first chapter probably.

I decided to write sooner, so, without further ado, I present:

Chapter I

*two people are sitting at a fold out card table, it seems as though one is teaching the other to play blackjack*

*the teacher is a man in his mid 30s, he sports a crewcut with a beard connected all the way from ear to ear, he is a well built man who looks like he’s spent his share of time in gym in the Danger Guild’s HQ*

*the girl sitting across from him appears to be in her early 20s, she has long flowing red hair and is pretty slender as well, she looks sort of nervous, as though this is one of her first days on the job, while the man across from him looks about as calm as possible*

Glss - So you still want to learn how to play right?

Muffy - ….. Yeah, sure. I mean yes of course I want to learn.

Glss - I sense a little hesitation in your voice. What’s wrong?

Muffy - As you know I’m new to the Danger Guild. I’m very nervous about the whole thing. What if I’m seen?

Glss - Did you pass the training and the intelligence tests?

Muffy - Oh yeah, they were a piece of cake!

Glss - Then what are you worried about? Those tests show you what may happen in the field. Don’t worry about it. Besides, on most nights it revolves around the 5 of us, now 6 of us just sitting around and watching TV or playing cards. There hasn’t been a whole lot of action lately.

Muffy - 6?

Glss - Oh yeah, I forgot about him. You see, Tornado likes to keep to himself. He’s not very outgoing and tends to stick to the shadows.

Muffy - That can’t be healthy.

Glss - Trust me, when you get to know him as well as I do, you’ll find that being surrounded by darkness is his nature.

Muffy - As long as he likes it.

Glss - He prefers it.

*one man is sitting at a table with a pair of glasses on, examining the scope on a sniper rifle, cleaning it and working maintenance on it, he has a small build to him, but just by looking at him you can tell that he’s seen his fair share of time on the police force as a sniper, a very intelligent man in his late 20s*

Samo - Just a few more corrections, and I should be good to go with this one.

In Another Room of the DG HQ

*two people are sitting on the couch, quickly surfing through the channels on the TV, not really taking any time to just watch one for more then a few seconds*

*the girl on the left has short blonde/brown hair and appears to be in her early 20s, she has a fit body and looks like she really puts forth the effort to stay in shape for her job*

*the girl on the left has curly medium length brown hair, in excellent physical condition with a samurai sword sitting on the couch next to her*

Fluke - Why is your sword on the couch? It’s going to cut through the cushion.

Uni - What are you talking about? It’ll be fine, besides, it’s not like we’re paying for this couch. This place is government funded, it’ll be OK.

*Fluke rolls her eyes and goes back to watching TV*

Uni - What?

In the Basement of the DG HQ

*a man in his mid 20s is hanging from a bar doing chin-ups, he is in excellent condition and sports a sort of dirty blondish hair, and is armed with two amphibian knives at his sides, he looks ready to strike at a moment’s notice*

*a second man is sitting atop a rafter, in a crouched position with a stun baton dangling from his belt, the man is in his mid 20s also and sports short brownish hair, with stubble from ear to ear, he just sits there like that’s what he was trained to do, not make noise*

Highfire - How can you do that? Just sit there and not make any noise at all I mean.

Tornado - Meh, I am the hidden combat expert on the team. Gotta give me a little credit there mate.

Highfire - That’s true, I suppose.

*Highfire goes back to doing chin-ups while Tornado just sits there and closes his eyes*

*suddenly an alarm goes off inside the building and everyone jumps to attention, while Tornado and Highfire walk up the stairs to the main room to meet with the other 7 members*

Muffy - So that’s Tornado!

*Glss pokes her in the side with his elbow and puts his finger to his mouth to shush her*

*a man in his 50s walks in, he has brownish shaggy hair with a full beard, the man is in fantastic shape for his age and walks with pride into a room*

Frizzo - There’s been a problem at the airport.

Highfire - Let me guess. Another highjacking?

Frizzo - Not quite. But you’re half right. 5 armed men boarded the plane and told everybody to get off unless they wanted to die. They’re going to be leaving the ground in roughly 20 minutes I’ve been told.

Uni - How are they going to get off the ground with---

Frizzo - The captains are still on board.

Uni - Right, right, right.

Frizzo - Now then, unless you have any other questions, get suited up, grab your weapons, and get to the van.

*as the group is heading off towards the lobby, Frizzo says.........*

Frizzo - And remember. You don’t exist. Now go get ‘em.

*Frizzo heads off in the opposite direction while the Danger Guild heads to the closets, and emerge in their outfits that consist of black skin-tight suits with a different colored circle on the right side of the chest for every member, that circle is actually a tracking device that shows up on the radar screens back at the HQ*

*Highfire is blue, Uni is red, Muffy is violet, Fluke is green, Samo is orange, Glss is yellow, and Tornado is white*

*the seven of them grab their specific weapons, and their glocks, and then head out the doors to the van waiting for them that resembles a SWAT team van, they get in as it drives off in the direction of the airport*

*some of the members of the team are trying to focus on what’s about to happen, Uni has her head down in prayer, Tornado is leaning back against the van wall with his eyes closed, Highfire is cleaning off one of his knives, Fluke has her hand on the weapon case next to her on the chair*

*Samo is up in front, driving the van, while Glss is just sitting back, enjoying the ride, when Muffy speaks out*

Muffy - I can’t take this, why all the silence?

Fluke - It helps some of the people on the team, it’s like the exhilaration before the wave hits you, you know?

Muffy - How could silence help? Wouldn’t it be best to formulate a game plan?

Uni - The one thing you’ll come to understand about the 6 of us, is that we already know exactly what we’re going to do. Samo is going to walk into the airport with the case next to Fluke--

*Fluke taps the case with her hand*

Uni - After we take out our weapons of course. Samo is going to walk up to the top of the airport roof, and lay down and look to shoot the tires of the plane. Highfire and Tornado are going to breach the helicopter on two of the silent stalkers--

Muffy - Silent stalkers?

Uni - Yeah, they’re these black surfboard type things that are powered by two jet propulsion systems on the back. They’re called silent stalkers because you can sneak up on someone without them having a clue about it.

Muffy - Ahh, makes sense.

Uni - So anyways, Tornado and Highfire will go in on those. Highfire will go the side of the plane and enter through the right side. Tornado will go up into one of the tire compartments and attack from the shadows.

Tornado - It’s what I do best.

Uni - Righty-o. Muffy, Glss, Fluke, and myself will stand back and wait for the signal to go ahead. Now we were “told” that there were only 5 men involved in this. But, somehow I’m thinking that it’s more around 10 or so. The Professor is wrong a lot.

Fluke - So what happened to not having a game plan?

Uni - Meh, I made one.

Samo - Clearly.

*the van stops about 250 yards from the airplane, as Tornado and Highfire pull the Silent Stalkers out from underneath the van, and set them on the ground as they lay down on them*

*everyone files out of the van, Samo opens up the weapons case and grabs his sniper rifle, then walks in the direction of the building*

*Uni and Fluke kneel down next to the starter cords for the Silent Stalkers, Fluke hands Tornado his stun baton, while Highfire already has his amphibian knives attached to his thigh and belt*

Fluke - You guys ready?

Highfire - You better believe it.

*the two women pull the cords as Highfire and Tornado take off into the night on the SS’s, while the other 4 members of the team still at the van, grab their weapons and kneel down by the side of the van, waiting to be told to infiltrate*

Chapter III

*Highfire and Tornado continue skimming across the pavement on the Silent Stalkers, Highfire looks to be enjoying the rush, while Tornado has his eyes closed like he’s focusing on something*

Highfire - What are you focusing on?

Tornado - You know how Uni said that you’re going in on the right?

Highfire - Yeah?

Tornado - Well, you’re going to go in through the top now. Before we started skimming I saw a hatch that you could easily climb through.

Highfire - Well, that’s all fine and dandy, but how am I going to get up there?

Tornado - You just leave that to me.

*Tornado hits the accelerator on the side of the SS and speeds on past Highfire*

Highfire - That guy always has some trick up his sleeve.

*Tornado continues riding along the ground, and then he quickly whips a u-turn so that his SS is laying out in the middle of the path that Highfire is treading along, Tornado flips the SS over on the side so that it’s a ramp as Highfire comes closer to it*

*Tornado crawls under the bottom of the flipped SS to brace the weight of Highfire’s SS as he comes barreling forward towards the ramped SS*

*Highfire’s SS hits the ramp and goes flying into the night’s sky over the airplane, in midair Highfire stands up and does a backflip off the SS and landing on top of the plane with his amphibian knives drawn in a crouching position*

*Highfire watches as Tornado flips his SS back over, lays on it and takes off towards the wheel and out of view*

*Highfire calmly walks over to the hatch, but people from inside the plane begin shooting through the roof, High rolls left and ride, jumps and dives to the sides and forward to avoid the bullets, he rolls on top of the hatch as he managed to miss all the stray bullets*

*he opens up the hatch, and drops inside the plane, landing in the cockpit to find the two pilots tied up and knocked out in the corner*

Highfire - What the hell?

*outside, Tornado reaches the tires, and gets off his SS, then begins climbing up the tire into the tire compartment*

Highfire - If the pilots are tied up, then, they obviously didn’t want to leave. This was a trap.

*High reaches into his side pocket and pulls out a communication device*

Highfire - Tornado, I believe we will be taking off fairly soon.

Tornado - How do you figure that?

Highfire - Because the pilots are tied up.

*suddenly the tires begin folding back into the plane as Tornado quickly scrambles higher up the beams inside the compartment rooms to avoid being hit by the tires*

*Highfire looks at the control panel to see that it’s just a bunch of buttons that don’t control anything*

Highfire - This, is not the cockpit obviously, but where is it?

*unexpectedly, the door to the room that Highfire is standing in, is kicked down and 3 men move into the room*

*Highfire slides his knives out from the insides of his jacket, and then bends down and stabs one of the men in the thighs*

*Highfire does a quick spin and catches the second man in the neck with the blade of the knife, and then jabs the other stiletto into the third man’s chest*

Highfire - ****. This is not good.

Back at the Van.....

Fluke - What’s taking them so long? This was a routine mission.

Glss - Patience, we must have patience.

Uni - Screw that, I’m going in.

*Uni takes her sword by the hilt and begins running to the plane*

Chapter IV

*Tornado is in between two poles in the landing gear compartment, with his back against one and his feet against the other*

Outside the Plane........

*Uni continues running with her sword drawn towards the now moving plane, but she knows she won’t catch up to it, she sees Tornado’s SS laying on the ground*

On the Rooftop......

*Samo is sitting against the wall on the roof, whistling to himself when he hears the plane start to move*

Samo - Huh?

*Samo rolls onto his stomach and looks through the scope of his sniper to see two men at the front of the cockpit, the pilots most likely*

Samo - Fifth freedom here I come!

*Samo pulls the trigger on the sniper and takes out the two pilots from over 2000 yards away*

Samo - Nice shootin’ tex.

*he turns the sniper to see a man dressed in black crouching right in front of the scope*

Shaggy - Hiya.

*Shaggy throws a right fist at Samo, but Tony does a quick backwards roll to land on his feet*

*Shaggy quickly pulls out his gun and aims it right at Tony’s chest*

Samo - Go ahead, shoot. I dare you. I don’t think you can, you won’t kill another person.

*Shaggy’s hand begins to sweat*

Samo - Go ahead, shoot. Why not? Isn’t your mission to kill me? It looks as though you’re about to fail that mission bud. Just pull the trigger, if you can. Just pull it! Pull the damn trigger!

*Shaggy shoots 4 rounds into Samo’s chest*

Samo - Did you honestly think I could show up without a bulletproof vest on? Dumbass...

*Samo rips off his vest and swings it at Shaggy’s head, knocking him backwards off the roof, Shaggy lands in a garbage truck as it drives off*

Samo - That sucks. ;)

*Samo sits back down at the sniper rifle*

Inside the Plane.......

*Highfire walks out into the passenger section of the plane, and pulls out his glock and one of his knives, he slowly walks through the aisles, until a man with a mask on jumps out at him, but Highfire catches him with a knife to the gut, and then lets him fall to the ground as he continues walking through the aisles*

*slowly Zero walks up from behind Highfire, and grabs him by the neck, twists it, and knocks him down to the ground*

*a man walks out from the shadows, and stands in front of the knocked out Highfire*

LOK - Looks like we have our first captive boys.

*the plane takes off the ground, without a pilot*

LOK - What the hell? How did we leave the ground? There’s no ****ing pilot!

Outside the Plane.....

*Uni jumps onto the SS which catapults her into the air and over the airplane, but she lands on the right wing, and then stabs her sword through the metal, and cuts open a hole in the side of the plane*

*Glss, Muffy, and Fluke get back into the van and take off in pursuit of the now flying airplane*

Inside the Plane.....

*Tornado continues climbing higher along the structure beams, until he reaches a floor panel that can open up into the cockpit*

*Tornado pushes on it and climbs out into the cockpit and puts his back to the wall as he listens to LOK and Zero discuss something, but out of the corner of his eye he sees Uni crouching down with her sword on the left side of the passenger section*

Tornado - I won’t have her risk another mission. Not again.

*Tornado pulls out his glock, and the silencer scope, then sets it to stun and fires a dart into one of Uni’s legs, luckily she falls down onto a cushion laying on the ground and makes minimal noise*

LOK - Zero, we need to abandon this plan, we’re flying into the sky with no pilot. This is ridiculous, and, we are not alone. I heard what sounded like a bullet being shot a couple of seconds ago. We’ve got our chutes, let’s use them.

Zero - Right boss.

*LOK walks over to the side of the plane where the emergency parachutes are, he and Zero grab two of them for themselves, and then they throw the rest of them out the window*

*LOK and Zero walk over to the hatch, the lower the ramp and dive out the back of the plane*

*Tornado gets up from his hiding spot after he hears the two people jump out*

Tornado - Damnit.

Well... the villains still aren't known yet, but, next chapter for sure, this chapter was originally longer, but, after viewing the length I decided to trim some of it for the next one:

Chapter 5

*Tornado walks over to check on Highfire and Uni, but they are still both out cold, Tornado pulls the dart out of Uni’s leg thinking that perhaps she will recover sooner*

*Tornado suddenly gets an idea and he takes off sprinting towards the cockpit, he continues running and then hits the door of the cockpit*

*he tries to open the door but it’s locked*

Tornado - Damnit. Well, here goes.

*he throws a punch through the door, but doesn’t open it because he’s seen more then enough already*

*all the parts required to operate the plane are disconnected from the control panel and laying on the floor*

Tornado - Even if I knew how to fix this I couldn’t do anything about it. Damnit. I need to find a way for the two of them to escape, I’ve got my way already.

*Tornado gets an idea and rips two seats out of their places on the floor of the plane, as he feels the plane rising higher and higher, Uni is becoming to come to*

Uni - What’s going on T?

Tornado - I’ll sum it up for you basically. We’re on a plane with no pilots, and the cockpit is torn apart. There are no more emergency parachute packs either. We have to make do with what we’ve got.

Uni - What are you doing?

Tornado - I’m tearing up these seats, it’s possible that the two of you could ride them down to the ground, and hopefully pull up at the very end of the drop and skid along the ground. It’s possible, but, highly dangerous.

Uni - Well, we are the Danger Guild. If we die then it was our time to die. We led a good life.

Tornado - Stop thinking like that and try to wake Fire up! We don’t have much time!

*Uni walks over to Fire and kneels down by his side and hits him in the chest, and then slaps him in the face a few times*

Uni - Nothing.

*Tornado finishes his plans for the chairs and walks over to Fire, whips out his stun baton and jabs him in the chest with it, sending 500,000 volts of electricity into him*

Uni - Nothing.

Tornado - Check his pulse, is he dead?

*Uni feels Fire’s wrist*

Uni - It’s very slow, but, he’s still alive.

Tornado - Well then we don’t have any other choice. You’re going to have to pilot one of the chairs down to the ground, but you’re both going to have to be on it.

Uni - That’s ridiculous.

Tornado - I know, but, you have to. It’s the only way.

On the Ground........

Glss - Muffy, you see that red button?

*Muffy glances at the control panel of the van*

Muffy - Yeah?

Glss - Hit it.

*Muffy slams on the button as the van shoots off even quicker then before, now approaching 170 mph*

Fluke *whispers to herself* - We’re coming guys. Hang in there.

Onboard the Plane.........

*Tornado drags Fire to the hatch opening as Uni grabs the chair and follows him*

*Tornado lifts up Fire and sets him on the front of the nearly flat chair, and Uni sits on the back and grabs the front of the chair over Fire*

Tornado - You ready?

Uni - As ready as I’ll ever be.

*Tornado gives a push and the chair with the two riders soars out into the night sky and down to the ground*

*he watches as the chair nears the ground and Uni pulls back on the chair as it skids across the ground and towards the van*

*the van screeches to a halt and the back doors open as Glss and Uni help Highfire into the back of the van, they all load back inside and continue driving towards the plane*

In the Van.........

Fluke - Is he alright?

Uni - Yeah, he’ll be fine. He just got the wind knocked out of him.

Glss - That was a very brave thing you did.

Uni - Yeah? Thanks, I try. Hopefully Tornado can pull something off.
