Yes I know this is another thread just for a question, and I apologise. I wasn't sure where else to put it. But does Aunt May know that Peter is Spider-Man?
She heard his voice enough and it's not like he tried to disguise it. He told her the truth about Uncle Ben and from the way she spoke to Peter about Spider-Man when she's clearing out the house she sounds as if she knows the truth and she's trying to pusuade him to be spider-man again. Also all the other main characters now know it so it makes sense for her to know.
But I don't remember her actually finding out. And I don't think I missed anything. So what do you think?

Well In the comics it's revealed that she knew all along that he was Spider-Man, but IDK about the movie. It did sound like she knew he was Spider-Man, so maybe she does, and she will tell Peter in part 3.

and i think she understands why he is doing it, for Ben Parker
I don't think she is positive, but I think in terms of the movie right now I think she is suspicious, but in the comic she said she knew all along, so who knows how Raimi will portray it?.

Yeah I know she finds out in the comics. By the way everyone seems to know who Spider-Man is by the second movie, it looks to me like Raimi is trying to fit the entire course of spider-man's career into 3 movies, so I assume she'll find out for sure in the next film.

She knows the truth in the comics? I thought she hated Spider-man and didn't like that Peter followed him everywhere to take his pic. Was that all a cover for her being worried about peter or something? She even says in the movie when she is put down by spidey that she was wrong about him implying she now doesn't think he's that bad.

Well she didn't like him at first because of the way the Bugle portrayed him. But if you notice in the movies, pretty much everyone who actually meets spider-man, or sees him fighting a villain, decide he's a good guy. As does Aunt May.
And yeah in the comics he eventually tells her and then she tells him she knew all along, but didn't want him to be worried about her worrying about him or something like that.

There was always a hint of her knowing in the comics, but we never actually knew for sure until she died a couple of years back.
They've since brought her character back somehow, because they're idiots. Her death issue was one of the best written comics ever. Let the dead stay dead!

The Aunt May that died turned out to be an actress dressed up by the Green Goblin (don't ask). GG was keeping the real aunt May prisoner.
Aunt May does not know from the beginning that Peter is Spider-man. I can see why people saying she did because she said before she died. However since technically that wasn’t aunt may its not the case. She does discover Peter is spidey. She finds him badly beaten up on his bed as well as his costume and Web-shooters.
As for whether or not the movie aunt May knows Peter is spider-man I can’t say. I think she knows that there is a connection between them, not necessarily know his secret. She might have been trying to persuade peter to talk spider-man into become a hero again, rather then persuade him to become spider-man again. If that makes sense!?

Well she does know the Peter sees spidey all the time, and i bet shes starting to think its more than a coinsidense. It was more than a coincidense that Peter left in the bank and Spiderman came in. I bet its kind of like the same thing as it was with Mary Jane, she always kind of knew all along.

Yea I remember the whole Green Goblin faked Aunt May's death thing in the comics. And yea I have the graphic novel where Aunt May really does find out the truth about Peter when she find's him beat up and bloody with his costume laying not to far torn up.
As for the movie Aunt May, I can't really say. I mean it does seem a little strange that Peter would leave her in the bank then suddenly Spidey appears. And then she give's us a big speech about Spider-Man being such a great hero to Peter and that he has to come back. Still maybe she just suspect's it (like MJ did). WEll maybe we'll find out in 'Spider-Man 3', I'd love to have Aunt May just flat out say "I know your Spider-Man Peter," imagine his reaction!

do you guys remember from spidey 2 where spidey is trying to save aunt may from the doc and when he gets her to the floor he says somthing like " we did it " and aunt may says "we?" i think this is the first clue aunt may got that peter was spidey.

i think all that meant was that Aunt May was saying that only she didnt it. Meaning there was no we, it was all Aunt May.

She probably suspects, but probably right now thinks Peter knows who Spiderman is and doesn't truly think he is Spiderman.

Word. ASM #400
They wanted to get rid of pretty much everything that happened during that period. Even really well written stuff. It was REALLY sad. It could've been just the same old death stuff but what got me was Ben Reilly sitting on top of the house not being able to say goodbye. Fricking brilliant writing....

we do spidermoose we do. We have nothing better to do than to sit at home and contimplate on whether Aunt May knows that Peter Parker is Spiderman or not. I have personally spent over 35 hours on a research that will determin once and for all if Aunt May really does know. After that, i will reveal who spiderman really is.

I never even post in this forum, but after watching Spidey 2 I'm pretty curious about it myself. Looking forward to your research findings, ViRUs.

Well she knows in the comic I picked up today. On the first page she was standing over Parker with bandages over his ribs with a tourn spidey suit in her hands and web shooters on the corner table. She looked kinda shocked but I'm guessing she worked it out. I never had time to read the comic so I was just looking at the pictures.
