All Blacks. they are the national rugby team on NZ. and last year, the English won the world cup. and last night, we cleaned them up 36-3. you need to know a bit about rugby. and i don;t think that many people do here

18 - 12 to the a.b's more of a kicking game methinks
plus merts is on the bench :applaud:
The Moose
06-16-2004, 04:04 AM
i'm going for something like 24-15.
and there will be quite a lot of kicking.
hopefully they'll give Mehrts some game time.
would be great if he could get another 68 points this season. that would take him up to 1000. hehe

How well did the all blacks do in the last world cup? In fact when did they last win a world cup? How many have they won, only one? England left out 13 members of the world cup winnning squad.
Freindlys are meaningless.
The Moose
06-17-2004, 01:01 AM
this ain't a friendly ted. this is a test series. we got 3rd in the world cup. and we won the inaugural one in '86 or '87. can't remember which one it was.
and we've won half of the games so far. 1 from 1.
and just cos you decided to leave out members of the world cup squad doesn't mean that you have an excuse to lose.
and before the RWC last year, when did england last win a world cup?hmmmm. let me think. that would be 1967. and before that, when did NZ last wina world cup? i don't even need to answer that
The Moose

oh my. another loss by the "world champion" english. hah.

It sucked how the constructed the world cup so that a country from the southern hemisphere would face off a country from the northern in the final. That made it impossible for say Australia and NZ to meet in the final.
And there were too many games with the crappy nations. They should stick too more with the nations actually competent with a football.

and ted, just cos australia were the best team at a tournament isn't really the best measure of how good the team is over a 4 year period

ted, can i ask something?
you know how justin marshall has alleged that Justin Harrison eye gouged him? what's the general consensus over there?
redman
08-12-2004, 07:54 PM
the general consensus amongst the oz media is that there is no evidence that he eye gouged.
but there was some foul play in those rucks. ppl dont just get bloody eyes for nothing.

Well, the AB's wiped the floor with the Fijians 91 - 0, and the NZ Maori beat the Lions.
I went to the game between the English Lions and Wellington, a crap but it proved that the English lLions are looking a bit worse for wear to be honest.
GO THE A.B's
Too right. I missed the AB's vs Fiji test. Being Fijian myself I was always gonna support Fiji no matter what. It was just unusual how Fiji managed to put up a fight against the NZ Maori yet got hammered by the AB's.
I so want Mehrtens back in the team. I do hope he reaches 1,000 test points so he can retire gracefully.
And how about Jonah Lomu injuring his shoulder after the Martin Johnson Testimonial match. Can't he take a hint that he shouldn't ever play again. There just seems to be no stopping this man.

Ahhh Rugby! Wonderful game.
Both teams all huddle together hugging each other's shoulders - then someone drops a ball and they all kick each other in the shins until one of them picks it up :D

Lion beaten 21 -3 and all they can do is cry about their captain getting injured
somebody call a wah-mbulance
We bet them last week -we'll beat them again this week!
...and it's been said that it was actually Martin Johnson who lead England to win the Webb Ellis trophy. Not even Johnny Wilkinson could save the day that night.
And that pathetic Manuwatu hammering the other night. 109-6 was it?

All Blacks totalyy wasted the Lions (or should I call them the "pussies")
Daniel Carter is now a rugby legend by scoring 33 points alone in 1 game.
I just hope the AB's dont fluff about on Sat even though they have won the series already
