Affleck To Stop Making Movies...

Los Angeles - Ben Affleck says he wants to make serious dramas and romantic comedies - but no more action blockbusters.

"I can't imagine doing another action film - ever," says the actor.

Apparently he's looking for new challenges and stars in the comedy Surviving Christmas, out at the end of this year.

"It's the kind of script you would normally expect someone like Mike Myers, Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell or Eddie Murphy to be in," he says.

"Instead it's me trying my hand at comedy."

Meanwhile, the actor says he's enjoying being single following the public split with Jennifer Lopez.

"I'm wary of getting involved with anyone for now because I don't want my love life to be in the headlines any more."

Well I enjoyed all of Affleck's action outings (haven't seen PAYCHECK yet) and I think he makes a decent action hero. I highly doubt he'll never make another one again though.

I'm sick of actors complaining about being in B grade action or sci-fi movies. I do people's taxes for a living, acting in crappy hollywood films sound pretty sweet to me.

It's funny, Affleck talks like his careers going so well, he doesn't need to do any action, it's all below him, so pedestrain....Please, if this guy doesn't get a hit soon he'll be condemned to oblivion where Gigli shoulda sent him in the 1st place....

JERSEY GIRL outta rake in the numbers. Besides, THE SUM OF ALL FEARS and CHANGING LANES made plenty of dough and PAYCHECK likely made it's budget back by now.

Who cares if they make their "budget back", that's not even the point!! The point is if someone who'as huge in the public eye goes for a while without making a hit, ie. A memorable movie, then they become endangered of rescinding into oblivion, meaning no one will want to hire him as no one wants to see him....

I was so excited when I read the title and then you had to ruin it by telling me he would make more of his crappy drama/romantic comedy movies.
