I need good reading advice

I wanted to know if there is any good books i should read....that will be developed in a movie example: The Rum Diary. So if theres any books i should check out let me know. Thanks in advance.

Why should it be one developed into a movie?

I hadn't heard that the Rum Diary was being developed into a film. This is the Hunter S. Thompson book, right? If so, I assume you've read Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas which was developed by Terry Gilliam?

Yeah it is in production...Benicio Del Toro will be directing it..actors in it will be Johnny Depp as Paul Kemp... Josh Harnett as Yeamon...Benicio Del Toro as Bob Sala.....and Nick Nolte as Lotterman... i dont know when they will be starting to film it hopefully soon http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0376136/

The Rum Diary is a good book. I read it a little while ago, and I started reading Fear and Loathing after I finished that. Maybe it's just the kind of thing you have to either watch or read. I found The Rum Diary much more interesting. Bleh. It's a hard concept to explain. :\

The movie looks badly cast, to me, at least.

Since you want reading 'advice,' read 'The Purpose Driven Life' by Rick Warren... One of the more insightful "Why on earth am I here?" books you're bound to find...
