The movies that come to mind right away are LOTR and Gladiator. Plus I do love the music of the matrix especially the stylish reloaded. Can anyone post anyother movies that have great scores.

I loved the soundtrack to NBK. Trent Reznor did an awesome job on that.

The Pixies "Where is my mind" fit perfectly into the end of Fight Club.

Friday had a great sound track. When I had 2 15's in my camaro I could cruise to that all weekend. Then again that was back in 97 and not lately.

I liked the soundtrack to Private Parts. The movie scenes in between the songs was a nice touch.

Overall The Crow has the absolute best soundtrack if you are into that type of music. I can listen to that whoel thing start to finish. One of the few cds I can do that too.

Pretty much anything by John Williams, Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, and Jerry Goldsmith. Trevor Shore's score for Last of the Mohicans and Dark City were wonderful. John Ottman's score for Usual Suspects was totally cool. Requiem for a Dream had beautiful score. Lost in Tranlation had an awesome soundtrack. Quentin Tarantino, Cameron Crowe and Todd Phillips always do a great job with their music selection. I don't know, there's a lot of great scores, soundtracks and composers. These are just a few of my favorites.

Haven't seen it in years, never paid attention to the music. my list was just stuff that I like. I'm sure there's a lot more out there, and I may have yet to find my favorite soundtrack (though I doubt it). I'm sure the Rock was good though. I've heard good thing about it.

Best. Soundtrack. Ever.

Surprised no one has mentioned James Horner's Apollo 13 score...easily one of my favorites. His Braveheart and Titanic scores deserve a mention, too.

Others I enjoy:

- John Williams' score for Star Wars (especially the music for Empire Strikes Back and "Duel of the Fates"), Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, E.T. and Indiana Jones.

- Howard Shore's incredible achievement with all three Lord of the Rings films ("Concerning Hobbits" and the themes for Rohan and Gondor are my favorite themes EVER)

- Don Davis' score for the final Matrix film (Revolutions) delivered in a way I wasn't expecting to.

- Alan Silvestri's Back to the Future theme still makes me feel all giddy inside.

- John Ottman's surprisingly awesome X2: X-men United score

- Klaus Badelt's rousing theme for Pirates of the Caribbean is another favorite of mine.

And of course, Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-man, Edward Scissorhands), Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, The Last Samurai), Quentin Tarantino's music selection for Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Pulp Fiction and last, but not least, the goddess of anime music, the amazingly talented Yoko Kanno (Cowboy Bebop, Vision of Escaflowne, Wolf's Rain, Macross Plus).
