General Movies

I used to enjoy the General Movies section but now it is nothing but Golden Globes, Oscars, and Battle Threads.

Why not make a forum just for Battles since there seems to be so much of them and also have a forum for Awards where you can post all the predictions you want. It is killing the general movies forum.

it's been disscussed before and I just think it wouldn't work, What would you do in a battle forum just vote on battles, It would be stupid. and if you had an awards forum what would you talk about all year?

Now having all these battles might get in the way of topics that should be seen. So now it frees the general movie forum. I'm sure you know it as I do, The general movie forum is full of battle threads. One of them is mine. Also alot people complain about them getting in the way. Now if we had an area just for them you wouldn't have to listen to people complain about them anymore. But this is just my opinion.

Yeah, you cant get in a word edgewise in the general forum any more unless it is about a battle or award winners.
As many people who do those stupid battle threads, you could start a new forum for them.
The awards thing could be seasonal, just like how the Matrix had its own forum you could have a forum for the various tv/movie award shows out there.

but once the awards are over what do you do with the forum.

same thing as they did with the matrix forum, close it until next seaosn. simple and easy and cleans up the general movies forum
now those lame battle threads can have their own forum forever.

the reason i don't think there should be a battle forum is because
it will just cause people to make stupid battle threads, If theres a worthless battle thread in the other forums mods just close them

Thats exactly why they need one. Certain people love those threads, so why tie up a useful forum like general movies with that stuff when they can have their own battle forum. That way no one complains about the amount of battle threads in any of the forums because they will all be under one neat section so the battle freaks can go to town.

So you were saying that in the General Movies Forum that Battles are clogging it up. Out of the 25 threads listed on the first page on the General Movies Thread only 5 of them are battles. As for the awards threads, the ones that are not closed down are related to General Movies and will be gone soon. The Oscars will be over in a little more then a month then those threads will be buried. BAttle threads have been around longer then you or I have been members Mentiroso and they will continue to be. I like having the battle threads in the correct forums because they are easier to find and manage. I am one of those people who do those stupid battles and I also run one so if that makes me a "battle freak" as you call it then I guess I am a FREAK.

The matter of battle threads has been discussed. The judgement is that they're fine as they are. While some don't like them many others do so if you don't like them just ignore them.

As for an awards forum there's really no point. It'd only be active maybe 2 - 4 months of the year.
