ok i found this on imdb.com so it might not be true (but probally is)
Ashton Kutcher was reportedly dropped from Cameron Crowe's new movie because the director was dissatisfied with his acting skills. The hunky That 70's Show star explained earlier this month he had been forced to leave the cast of Elizabethtown when its filming schedule changed, and clashed with his TV commitments. However, according to a source quoted on the Pagesix website, Crowe was actually dissatisfied with Kutcher's rehearsals - and even suggested the 25-year- old consider taking acting lessons. The source claims, "Cameron was unhappy with his read-throughs. Ashton did several and each one was worse and worse. Cameron even postponed production because he thought the readings would get better but they didn't. At one point, Cameron suggested that Ashton take acting lessons. Soon after that, they both decided it would be best if Ashton was not in the movie." But Crowe's representative claimed ignorance of the causes behind Kutcher's departure, saying, "I am not aware of any of this. Schedules changed but I don't know what transpired between (them)." Kutcher was also recently dropped from consideration for an upcoming Steven Soderbergh project because the Oscar-winning director was unsure whether he "was up to par professionally" due to his public profile, fueled by his relationship with actress Demi Moore.
i think this is really funny:D

Don't believe anything you read on IMDb's Studio Briefing, it's all taken from British tabloids.

I dunno, doesn't take a genius to see that Kutcher couldn't act his way out of a paper bag.
I can't wait untill his 15 minutes are up.

Even if this is just tabloid BS, Ashton still can't act, I'm surprised that he is as popular as he is.

Wouldn't surprise me, the poor guy couldn't act to save his life. I think he's highly overrated.

From Ashton to Orlando. They pulled Ashton out because he can't act? But they think Orlando can? How ironic?

Actually, Orlando can act and has at the very least had good training. Ashton just needs to stick to the modeling.

I like that Ashton is able to making fun of himself in Cheaper by the Dozen, his character/him said that he knows he is good looking and can't act.
Have anyone seen Butterfly Effect? How was his acting in that one?

I't wasn't bad but it wasn't all that great either. I could have acted better if I was blind. . . . . . . or handicaped.

His acting is just fine. I only found that the story itself was pretty sub-par... but that's off-topic.

Thanks, that is all I need to know really, that he can at least act his way out of the box.

Give the guy a break...if you were in his position....being famous, doing demi moore and getting all the cash in the bank, you would think it was pretty sweet

I don't have a problem with Ashton and I think it was a good thing that he breaks away from comedy and do something different in Butterfly Effect.

I think Ashton Kutcher is cool. I frankly don't understand why there's such negativity towards the guy. The whole negativity towards him is actually kind of stupid if you think about it.

I just hate there is a something mentioned about him almost every night on Entertainment Tonight or E! News. One night they mentioned his name no less than 30 times in a span of 20 minutes. I thought it was an E! True Hollywood Stories on him but later realized that it was just the nightly E! News. Over Kill. I imaged his publicist acting like a hyperactive poodle on crack to get get that kind of exposoure.
