It's not the usual Britney that we've had in the past, this is the new improved Britney. There are a few good songs on the album and I think most people will be surprised by some of the tracks.

I know Moby worked on a few of them so you can expect a bit of his music on there. It's completely different than everything she has done in the past, there's 1 slow song and the rest are a kind of mix of upbeat tracks. There's a bit of a Kylie influence in "Breathe on Me", then it moves in to an RnB vibe for "Early Mornin'". Basically there's a mix of everything on there

So she still doesnt have a sound of her own? - this one hit wonder is really dragging out her 15 minutes. How long till the record company dump her and pick up her younger sister?

Well I don't like Kylie so I never heard her album but she was the first person that sprung to mind when listening to that song.

at least marilyn manson writes his own music and lyrics and then actually sings them when he is onstage.

also, marilyn manson's record company didn't pay clear channel to play his "first big hit" on the radio and put it into heavy rotation. britney spears is a product and countless sheep eat her up and shell out the money to finance greedy fat cats sitting behind a desk picking what music sells the best and then distributing it based on numbers alone.

comparing marilyn manson to britney is pretty moronic, actually.

Marilyn Manson is a product too... and it's no surprise that the majority of his fans are 18 and under.

He sells an image just like Britney, he's not in it for the music.

britney is also uglier than marilyn manson

So, are you a girl or gay?

So, are you a girl or gay? [/B]

why, are you homophobic?
i love it that we live in a world where a straight male recognizes that a male is either attractive or unattractive and some narrow-minded simpleton comes along and throws the word "gay" around.

not that marilyn is attractive by any means. i would just rather make out with marilyn than britney. and if that makes me gay then so be it. whatever crawls under your skin, lackey.

as for marilyn not being in it for the music, perhaps you should read his autobiography or some of his entries on the Oracle section of his website at www.marilynmanson.com. he is someone who takes his music very seriously. his image is not a product, just a form of self-expression inspired by the likes of alice cooper (who inspired many great musicians and artists).

I asked if you were a girl or gay...what's wrong with that?
I didn't say being a girl or being gay was a bad thing.

There are plenty of girls that like the way Marilyn Manson looks, I thought maybe you were one of them. As I mentioned above, most of Marilyn Manson fans are 18 and under.... they're also mostly female.

...and as for what Marilyn Manson says about himself, it doesn't prove your point. I'm sure Britney would claim that she takes her music seriously also.

Whatever. :)

You shouldn't judge people with open minds, who atleast are opinionated rather than going along with the crowd (hence you britney "haters").And just because they don't like the same music as you do does not make them a "tool".

because i am a musician.
because i work for a record label.
i see things and know things the average consumer doesn't.
people like britney wouldn't be around if laws were not broken. record industry managers sit behind their desks and laugh because they are pumping the market full of crap but they know people will buy it because our society is lazy and people tend to just take what they're given. if the record industry can play to people's feelings and emotions and stimulate them somehow then they know they can keep them around and keeep pumping more product into them. britney is a puppet and her music is over-produced cotton candy put out for the sheer purpose of making money. sure, all musicians are in it (to some degree) for money but when you are dressed, taught how to act, told how to live, told what to eat and drink, and controlled by some suit behind a desk then suddenly the music takes the backseat to commercialism and celebrity.
if britney was put in a studio and told to make her own album she'd pull her hair out, cry, and run out of the studio. she wouldn't even know how to pen a decent song. she has "coaches" who basically feed lyrics to her and then she has interviews where she goes on and on about bearing her soul or some crap like that. she is as manipulated as the people who buy her albums.lackey comes around and brings marilyn manson into all this like i am supposed to be insulted or something. mhile i currently doubt marilyn's credibility (his last two albums were atrocious), his past albums have been produced by some of the most musically-inclined folks in the business (billy corgan, trent reznor) and he put out albums he wrote and then used an image to deliver his message even further.
if we are to decipher a message from britney's image it's "let's all be dirty whores and get naked!" which is exactly what our moralistically struggling generation needs right now. but the record industry doesn't care. they'd sell their souls if they thought it would fatten their wallets.
britney is just one example, though. clear channel is ran by record industry types and clear channel owns a majority of the radio stations around the country which is why they always play crap. radio used to be around to get music to people so they knew what was out there. now it's purpose is to sell sell sell, no integrity to it at all. thank god for college radio.

I understand that the industry is all about sell sell sell now. This is why I don't listen to the radio anymore. But the thing is people like it. Granted mostly kids under the age of 16 but they aren't going to waste 15 bucks on a cd they don't like. It a business and they're are in it to make money. the trend might burn itself out and people will want some real music again. So ingore the craptastic talent and just concerntrate on what you like.

If you feel that way about the music industry, then don't bother watching or buying movies.Either way, the entertainment industry knows what everyone wants, thus they sell more.Like i said, everyone has a choice and you shouldn't judge them.
