Has anyone heard any new info about Angel? Is it true that Spike comes back as a ghost? And i am so mad that Sarah is gonna be on Angel for a few eps. If she wanted to continue as Buffy she should have kept the show!!!

Angel would'nt still be going if it was'nt for Sarah and the others wanting guest parts in the series, so be a little more thankfull.

I know...truthfully i'm not a big Angel fan...I lived for Buffy, but now that it is gone i'll start watching Angel more. I just don't like that Sarah had said that she wanted to focus more on her movie career and that that was why she quit Buffy.

Well the show turned crap after she died and was ressurected....
It was all downhill from there...I think she left at the right time.

I'm a big Angel fan, and I don't really want to see too many Buffy members popping up in season 5, why do they have to bring Spike in the show, I hope they don't focus to on his character too much in favour over others. All the seasons have been great and the show is much more darker and bolder and violent than Buffy ever was. It was time for Buffy to end, it never had the same impact once season 4 came around.

What happened to Dru? She came back to turn Darla then went to try and get Spike to join them in taking Angel's soul and she was never heard from again. I love Dru, she's hot and totally weird.

I never really liked Dru's character. It would have been better if Angel had have staked her. Although, it would have been good to see a showdown between Darla and Dru, Darla all the way.

Willow is my fave. She is the best character on Buffy. I wish that they would have her come onto Angel for a few more episodes.

They're probably bringing in Spike to get more people intersested in Angel (hey it's working on me :p ). They're also bringing in Harmony to throw a new Anya/Cordelia character into the mix.

Willow213

ugh..harmony is so annoying. They better not have anything happen between her and Spike. That would just ruin everything...hopefully she'll die this season.

Yep, I think Angel should do it. Just let Dru ramble on about dolls and then Angel just stakes her from the other side of the room. Cut to opening credits and continue storyline with Angel killing off Spike and Harmony for trying to steal his show. Bring in Gwen the electric freak, have her and Gunn hook up, get Wesley and Fred together and give the Host a weapon, I wanna see him kick some arse as well.

1. Dru's a bit freaky looking, although Juliet Landau is alright. Her character's boring, they should have had her with more fight scenes but she hardly fought, Buffy would have finished her in a matter of seconds.
2. Agreed. Did Gunn sleep with, we're lead to believe this, so she could come back with his child.
3. Lorne if you will, although it's just easier sometimes to say the Host, however, as you stated, he's refered to by his name by the other characters.

Yeah, sometimes Buffy could be too full and proud of herself to let others help, I'm just glad that Angel was given the chance to have his own show and it felt refreshing to have Angel to tell Buffy to back off and go home in the early part of Angel season one.

If you ask me they should get the guy from 'Once More, With Feeling' in to an Angel show and make Lorne go into over drive. All that singing could almost kill him.

i dont think there is anything wrong with bringing spike back as a ghost he's a brilliant charactor

JediPaul
09-26-2003, 02:36 PM
They should have made Faith a full time character for season 5, but she's doing Tru Calling, shame because I loved it when she returned last season. The fight scenes between her and Angules and the Beast were great, purely brutal. I want to Spike more darker, I admit that he his one the best characters that Buffy had, it just that Angel has forked at a reputation by itself and as moved away from the style that Buffy had.

IceGambit

I think Spike is going to take over the show just for more ratings, which saddens me.

I too want Eliza Dushku's new show on Fox to fail and get canceled, so she can either do Angel episodes or do a Faith spinoff.

i think that because spike's character was so good, and that everybody loved him, that s one of the reasons he's coming onto angel:)

spiderman_2k
09-27-2003, 01:16 PM
I think its because the character is dark enough to pull off the Angel atmosphere..No other character from Buffy can do that.

JediPaul
09-27-2003, 01:21 PM
Good point, after all Spike could show more of his darker side on Angel. I eager to see what Tru Calling will be like starring Eliza Dushku. It's a shame she didn't become a season regular, although, the events of Angel's season 4 finale, had Wolfram and Hart change the course of time, why didn't they just kill Connor off, instead it means that the events of last season never happened in the minds of the other characters except for Angel. Wouldn't that mean that Faith is still in prison?

Not everybody loved him. I liked Spike. But he died on Buffy, and character's story ended. It came full swing. So I don't like him if he is going to take over the show just to get people who love Spike to watch Angel. So his appearance on Angel may hurt the show.

Yes, but when characters die in Buffy or Angel...that tends to not be the end of them...Thats the point...Its supernatural..Whos to say when a character is dead...I dont think it will hurt the show at all..It might make it stronger...Seeing them fight together will be great to see.

Throughout Season Two Lorne was known as The Host, by the charecters on the show. The Host was the name that all of his bar patrons called him. It isn't untill Season Three, after they visit his home dimension of Pylea that they start to call him Lorne. This is due to that fact that he is called by his real name by his old family and friends, Krevlornswath of the Deathwok Clan, which he shortened to Lorne.

I was commenting on the fact that he wasn't "known" as The Host. It was his actual name. It didn't really have to do with the fact that he owned a bar, it had more to do with the fact that he was able to "read" people.

Alien
09-28-2003, 11:43 AM
How does reading people give him the name The Host? The Host would be because he owned a bar and the scriptwriter couldn't be bothered giving him a name. Or because Krevlornswath is a crap name and no one thought of shortening it before Angel and crew came along.

JediPaul

Come on, although it would please many fans including myself if they hooked up Fred and Willow, they shouldn't since Fred belongs with Wesley and not Gunn, they should bring in Qwen and have her and Gunn get together. I think they're bringing Spike back as a ghost rather than coporeal form. They should have just brought Faith into the show as a regular, I think it would have suited her character better and she proved to be great during season 4. Leave Willow and co out, I don't really see them needed.

Well on the WB website (which it may be trying to trick us who knows) but it says this for the description of the next ep:

For centuries they fought over women. "You're not going to win this time!" Now, for the first time see how Drusilla started it all. "If you want her, come and take her." But when another mysterious package arrives at Wolfram & Hart that recorporealizes Spike, the gang learns that the existence of two living ensouled vampire heroes has created chaos in the world. After Eve tells them about a prophecy that states that the only way to restore order is to find the Cup of Perpetual Torment that bestows human life, Angel and Spike battle it out for the ultimate prize. A series of flashbacks show the history of Angel and Spike and their relationship with Drusilla (guest star Juliet Landau).

That was an excellent episode. I haven't watched Angel since its last season finale, because I decided that I would only have time to watch one television series during the week: 24. But considering the way this episode turned out, I may be adding another show to that list.

As for comments regarding my impression of this episode:
--I am not liking Eve as much as I thought I would. The Angel promo pics that websites have been posting of her made her look much older than she appears to be on the actual show. I would have liked her better as a woman closer to Cordelia's age, but younger than Lilah. At least, that would have more properly fit into the producers' idea of her being a possible love interest for Angel (but in light of recent events, that notion is worth squat). Other than that, I'm not really a fan of how Sarah Thompson delivers her role. She just seems too much of an immature kid amongst our mostly adult cast. This is conveyed in the way she speaks with her "don't shoot me, I'm just a messenger" attitude, as well as the way she keeps on referring to Angel and the gang as "boys and girls" or "kids". Come on, she could at least try to act more serious. Wolfram & Hart deals with the friggin' APOCALYPSE here. Or maybe that's just the way she's written. Dang screenwriters.

--I'm lovin' Harmony. I never really liked Mercedes' character, but I think I'll like her after this season, whether she be annoying or not. Besides, she reminds me of someone I used to really like. And does Angel really call her "Harmy" (in the vein of "Cordy":p)?

--I loved the twirly antics during the steel construction rod fight. Excellent drama between Angel and Spike, and a nice little retrospective dialogue between Gunn and Angel afterwards. Angel must be really worried.

--Best lines:
-Spike: "It's. . . .. Mountain Dew. . . ?
-Angel: "I fell down some stairs. . . really big stairs."
Honestly, Angel has some of the greatest dialogue ever. I'm sorry to have been missing so much of it this season.

In closing: After parting with Angel as understanding albeit uneasy allies, it seems like our favourite one-evil-handed guitar-riffing lawyer is back. But what happened to him? What's with him going all Pict stylez with his tatoos? What's his angle on this season of Angel? Is he out for revenge on his former employers at Wolfram & Hart? Tune in next time. . . . .. just in case I miss it.:)

The last few episodes of Angel have been so good.

I thought the episdoe with Welsey and his father was great,
then last week with Spike getting his body back and the big fight was wonderful. PLus the big bad being revailed was just a final wonderful addition.

it just sucks we have to wait to January for new episodes. this year has been so good so far. It has gone above what I hoped it would be.

I just wish more of my friends watched the show so i could talk about it with someone :)

I loved last nights episode of "Angel", and I especially LOVED the fight between Spike and Angel!!!!:D It was just the good old classic arch-rival, arch-enemy fight beteween the greatest of enemies. Spike and Angel's rivalry ranks right up there on the list of top arch-rivalry's of all time (along with Freddy Vs. Jason, Spiderman Vs. Venom, Wolverine Vs. Sabertooth, Batman Vs. the Joker, etc.). My favorite part was when Spike and Angel have just put on their vamp faces, they rush at each other, and just as they collide we cut to a commercial. :applaud: That's how all rival battles should start, it's just amazing to watch!!!!:D :D :D
