I really think we need an Oscar forum to discuss the Oscars. It would be nice to have a specific place for predictions and disscussion on the latest Oscar buzz and believe me this year there is a lot and it is still early. So I would like to propose that an Oscar forum be made.

Would be nice, but for all but a few months out of the year,it would be quiet.

Perhaps it would be something special around that time of year

That would be good, but I believe we could pull it off to be year round forum. (look at Oscarwatch)

it would be nice
and i kinda disagree about it only being busy during the oscar season
because tehre would always be a thread about how LOTR is going to win every award this year
and after the oscars there would be a lot of threads started by pissed off LOTR fanboys because ROTK didnt win any awards except special effect :p

Okay this is about having an Oscar forum, not about you predicting ROTK to get shut out at the oscars. I want to see yopur face whn Best Picture is announced

Please discuss the Oscars in the General Movies forum. Thanks.

Oscars are never really big. This past one we had one to deal with the results, one with Moore's comments and a couple of perdiction or My Picks threads. Even if it was expanded to the other awards it wouldn't be a success.

No. Oscars are run by horny old white guys with no lives and pick the movie that gets little money at the box office. No need for a thread about it.

since the administrator said to discuss them in the general movies forum, why don't we ask for a forum for awards? that way, we would get the oscars, emmys GGs, and all the other ones in one small, neat little package
