A Lilo & Stitch SE was in the works and is rumored, maybe CS! just decided to put it down?

Not surprisingly, Stitch the Movie is really lame. The only redeeming feature is that the villian talks exactly like the French knights from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

True. I'm of the opinion these straight-to-video releases damage the reputation of the first movie. Capitalism spoils the franchise.
