I was at this show in australia a while back and ray martin (a local journalist) was interviewing mel gibson. I didnt really meet him but it was pretty cool seeing him.

I saw a show called 'before they were stars' and mel gibson had such a strong australian accent and now he has such a strong american accent. How does that work? Can u completely lose ur accent?

Nope doesn't count you they have to be somewhat of a popular person to be a celeb...that is a really sucky celeb to meet Rebecca

I guess he is a celeb, but not someone anyone would wish to meet.

I don't know if you'd actually call them meetings, since I doubt any of them would recall me, but I've encountered a few famous people. I had a brief conversation with Jerry Sienfeld one time, met the members of Aerosmith, Van Halen, Ted Nugent, and just a whole lot of bands from back in the seventies and eighties. Security used to be really lax at concerts, and with festival seating no one really questioned you if you were hanging around the backstage area before or after a show.

I met Jason Alexander at Universal Studios with a friend and my sister and her girl scout league. He had us do some thing for a TV show he was cooking up, I guess it never panned out.

At the end of this July, I saw Jason Alexander and Martin Short starring in The Producers.

In Santa Barbara I was with my family and we saw Dennis Franz ride by on a bicycle. My dad said hi or waved (don't remember which)

And then apparently once I was in a Disney Store at Disneyland and Ed Asner was there too, but was too grumpy to say hi to people, I was too young to know he he was.

My dad got to shake hands with George W. Bush before he was president.

My grandfather (whom I never met) had met a lot of celebrities, including Walt Disney. I believe my dad said something about being friends with Shirley Temple's older brother, I'll have to ask him.

JBond

Eh, I saw Clinton before he was president and Gore when he was running. That's it I think, besides concerts.

My mom saw James Earl Jones at an airport though.

I met a bunch of Hollywood people at this discussion thing about how to make it in Hollywood, including David Self, who screenwrote Road to Perdition.

I forgot to mention a few people in my previous list but I guess only people in the UK or footbal (soccer) fans will know who I'm talking about.

I saw the entire Bacelona football team 2 weeks ago when they were playing the local team and I shook Ronaldinho's hand.

I have seen the entire Glasgow Celtic team, Manchester United team, met Gary Lineker, Paul Gasgoine and all of this happened in my local area.

Oh and I met Robbie Keane in Dublin

I met Chevy Chase (he reminded of me of Ozzy the way he shuffles around) Bill Murray, Kristy Swanson (SUPER nice) Tim Meadows and Grahm Greene (cool when he's sober an ass when he's drunk told me not to f**K with him when I told hm he drak too much fire water) at a party a year back.

Also kind of met Rod Stewart, driving in my friends mustang and trying to get differant cars to race. We came up to this modified pickup truck with racing decals that kept up with us as we raced down the road. We got to a stop light and I looked over and saw that the guy was Rod Stewart. Talked to him for barely a minute, the next morning I figured it probably wasn't him but was surprised to see on the news that he was actually in town for a soccer game. My friend and I still joke around about how funny it would of been if we cut him off real bad causing him to roll his truck.

Back home in Hawaii I went to the Liberty House dept store now MAcy's
& stood in line for Pat Sajack & Vanna White. I got their autographs and shook their hands...yipee

The music store I worked at, I encountered, Charo-was in cognito trying NOT to be recognized,Steven Adler-original ex-drummer of Guns & Roses buying "Lies" on CD, saw from afar Richard Chamberlin-he looked like a ghost.

Another music shop that I worked (but I wasnt there...) Ice Cube came in but was in a drunken state.

When I moved to California, Robin Williams came in the store. Actually rang up his CD purchases. Very nice. :D
Chris Isaak also came in twice, I also got an autograph from the man!
Frances McDormand was rumored to have stopped by & Robin Wright Penn was also spotted in the store.

YOu totally will not belive this but I swear to god I met Julia Stiles while I was walking down a street in Vancouver....it was sooooooooo awesome...it happened 2 years ago but it was the best day ever...she was on her way to film "A Guy Thing" and was walking with Selma Blair.

I never kissed her or anything but it was just the coolest thing ever to happen to me...not to mention the snowstorm we were in together and the Santa hat I was wearing.

She is so nice in person and he blew me away with how stunning she is in person as well.

I doubt anyone could ever beat this celeb story unless they happened to actually date a star...which noone has ever done.
