i hate to say this, but nothing against skating boarding. it is mostly only popular in places like california, so i doubt a movie made about it will make a lot of money, unless it has other things going for it other then skate boarding, which this movie didn't.

Well considering the movie only cost about 6mil to make and 15mil to market it will probably break even with the box office and DVD and VHS sales + other things.

From those who have seen it, it hasn't gotten terribly good reviews.

Sports movies have never made much in the theatre anyway.

The only sports movies that have made any money atleast, are heart-filled drama or heart-filled comedy stories that revolve around our major sports. Namely, and mainly baseball and football. Baseball probably takes the cake the most.

Those are like for the love of the game sports, so any Xtreme sports or high action don't tend to have that award winning drama added which is what makes those movies any money usually in the theatre.

The best Skater movie is by far Gleaming the Cube with Christian Slater. Tony Hawk also has an appeareance in it as one of Slater's freinds who is a Delivery Boy for Pizza Hut.
