The graphics look better - but Max isn't as badass.

It is true he looks more like an old guy than a tough guy this time around. Oh well.

Anyone think the Max Payne from the original looks like that one guy in Resident Evil who survives till the end and gets taken away? I think his name is Matt ironicly in that movie.

I think hes a spinning exact image of Max Payne. I was curious if he was the person they modeled for the comic part and gameplay face.

Yeah his name is matt and he is played by Eric Mabius..Maybe, i can see some similarities...Im just glad its the same voice in this one..Might make up for him looking old

It's probably a threatening sign. Like the bugs or snakes who reveal fake eyes or a strange stance to show it's threatened. For Max Payne, he wears the tie.... yes.

Yeah sure, the design looks beautiful. I loved Max Payne, and done everything you could possibly do with it. It just won't feel the same thinking that he looks like that. But, it could be good nonetheless.

I know, I never said the game would be bad because Payne is different. I'm just alittle disappointed with his new face. Although he looks alot like Rob Lowe..

I don't like it much though. It looks kinda weird. This aint the Matrix. Whats up with him moving normal speed, while people are super slowly flying into the air? He moves way too fast with the movement around him. I hope this is beta-testing footage.

Also he looks cool in the comic-book part of the trailer. Doesn't look like the old guy in the screenshots. Maybe those shots are just bad angles. *shrugs

yeah ypur right it isn't the matrix. but if they would have used this kind of bullet time in enter the matrix it would be pretty cool.

Essentially that kind of bullet time was already used. In The One, he did that kind of Matrix opposite bullet time thing. Jet Li moves in real-time while everything around him is slowed down. It's a sweetass effect, and one reason why I like the movie so much.

I hate the way Max looks now. Why'd the even bother messing with his face? Well anyway, I'm sure the gameplay will be as good, if not better than the 1st so I'll definitely pick it up.

First one was superb and I still play it sometimes! It had great story and even better art of story telling! If they can keep it that way along with the comics than it would blast my ass away!!!

I just saw the gameplay trailer... WOW!!!!! Great graphics, great shooting, great John-Woo-style-looking around and great game physics!!!! God, I thank you for this one!

I think the new facial design look's good. Bad-ass characters get better with age; Just look at Snake in M.G.S. 2: S.o.L, he was designed as though he were in his mid-40's and he still kicked-ass.

The game developers also explained that second game is happening couple of years after the first one. Due to this (and his previous game) he is older!

I looked at some previews, pics and movies... Man, this game gotta kick some ass for sure!!!

Oh see I didn't know that this game was set 2 years after the first one. His face has still changed dramtically over that short period of time. Right now, his face looks as if 6 years have passed.

Graphics nowdays allow them to make him more detailed and his face interact, while in first part the graphic engine was only able to use a single pic as his (or other peoples) face (you know, the grinning one...heh!).
I love how the game looks like, and engine promises to blow us away! But the most important thing is the story, and it should become much better than the first one, the whole game much longer (yeeeepeeeee!!!) and the story telling will still be the same (comic book art)!
I dont care about Doom3 and Half Life 2 (except when they release new CS!!!) because Max Payne 2 will give me everything I expect from a game...
Something else: while watching the trailer I again have had the same feeling like during the first part... kind of feeling sorry for him... and that is what I call atmosphere, story and superb gameplay!!

Of course I am going to play Doom 3 (must buy new graphic-card for that one!) and Half Life 2, but those games still dont give me the same feeling Max Payne does...
I hope they will make the best out of HL game physics (wich are ****ing unbelieveble) and produce nice CS mod for that one... Headshot!

im going to buy the radeon 9800 pro, then for like 2 months my system is set, then i need a gig of ram. But there is a dry spell of PC online games. CS d2 and all those other ones like BF are sooo old now. I cant wait until march.
