Got 24 Series 2 on Tuesday and it looks excellent. I haven't had much time to look at it but from what I have seen, it looks a lot better than Series 1 boxset.
Disc 1 - 6
The first 6 discs have all the episodes (4 on a disc) and most have Special Features on each episode. One episode out of the 4 has a commentery and nearly every episode has deleted scenes. Good discs :D
Disc 7
Disc 7 has more extras and just extras on. It has a 2 parter documentery which goes on for about 90 minutes and another small featurette (about 15 minutes) about the destruction of CTU. It also has a multi angle scene thingy for a scene in Episode 6 which looks good and all the deleted scenes with commentery. A lot more features (a whole disc full and more!) than Series 1.
I think S2 is a lot better than S1 in whole and this DVD just wraps it up nicely.

What about the alternate endings that were filmed? Are they in the set too?

There is an alternate ending but it was only filmed to stop internet spys. It has David falling to the floor like the one that was shown but then getting up. There is another deleted scene when mandy rings the guy on the boat up and says 'Its done'. Nina comes and kisses him!! You don't see the front of her but it is very obvious its her with the hand and the hair. See these pics :

My friend here says otherwise... (http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/index.cgi?page=News&id=4692)
Season one had six discs and 'no' features. Plus I've read on the offical 24 board that it will be 7 all summer. and that pic.

Well, sorry to say, but your friend is wrong....
100% of the 10+ websites that I've looked at are saying 6. And these are American sites. That are selling them.

Ok, half the sites I've checked are saying 6.....the other half 7.....
Guess we'll just have to wait and see!

It is 7. That picture at the bottom of the page is the Region 1 Box Art, the UK is different. So if it is six why would they put the Region 1 Cover with Region 2 Discs?
Amazon screwed up and everyone just copied.

Rogers Video is selling it for $64.99 so it should be cheaper elsewhere.

Season one is $54 at Superstore so I would expect Season Two to cost a little more than that but not 80somedollars. I go today and they didn't have it so now I have to go to the Superstore where a bunch of idiots work in the electronics section.

They had maybe 25 I think at Wal-Mart which suprised me. It had a 'Watch 24 on Global' sticker, so it will be interesting to see what Global does since it also carries Frasier and NYPD Blue on Tuesdays.
The extras are real high quality.

I think they had the same sticker on the season 1 dvd set but CH ended up carrying it...might be the same thing this season.

I've been watching them - there are lots of deleted/alternate scenes (marked with a little box containing the number "24" in the lower right corner.) To watch the alternate scene, click "play" when you see the little "24" appear, and the alternate scene will play. After it's finished, the show goes back to its original scenes.
There are also commentaries by the cast members, Joel Surnow, Bob Cochran, Jon Cassar and others. I haven't finished watching everything yet, but so far, I'd say these DVDs are definitely WORTH the price, whatever it may be. There's so much stuff on them that it's like having a third season of "24."
I only hope that subsequent seasons of "La Femme Nikita" will be produced on DVD, too, since LFN involves the same bunch of guys that are giving us "24" (Surnow, Cochran, Cassar, Loceff, etc.) and you can see their LFN influences woven throughout "24."

If you don't want to keep look-out for the '24' logo during the episodes you can insert Disc 7 and watc all the deleted scenes w/ or w/o commentary.

I saw that on Disc 7, and normally, I'm an instant-gratification person. However, I enjoyed seeing the scenes within the context of the episode (i.e., the scene before and the scene after) instead of in stand-alone format - it made it much easier to see why a scene was cut or reshot.
Just finished watching the whole thing - damn, I think it gave me ulcers. So much intrigue, double-dealing, lying, and a lot of deaths. This isn't "La Femme Nikita," where you think a person is dead - you saw them die! - and then they show up in a future episode or season, having escaped miraculously to come back weirder/meaner than before.
Ironically, actors Tobin Bell, Gene Glazer, and Peter Outerbridge are all alumni of LFN who have made guest appearances on "24."
I love the television industry. :clown:
