DAMN THAT FOX NETWORK!! How DARE they take Family Guy off the air! It was THE most genius TV show in the past 3 years then "oh dear it's too 'offensive' for American TV" so what! American censorship laws blow, a little playfull abuse to people never hurt much!! BRING IT BACK!!

The only way that'll happen will be on A) The Cartoon Network, or B) Direct to DVD feature length.

Why couldn't it be on Fox again?

Inval1d
08-15-2003, 12:26 AM
FOX would have the time slot shifts again then shelf it. Then they would play reruns over and over then eventually cancel it again. :(
I could see Cartoon Network start it up again. That would be cool

The Family Guy really is a downright hilarious show.

"Brian, theres a message in my cereal, it say, 'oooooo"

Family Guy is the best cartoon since The Critic. I know I'm probably in the minority here but I have to say The Simpsons suck. Talk about a show that should have ended 5 years ago. I mean this crap just isn't funny anymore. It's very boring and I'm very disappointed that the creaters of the show have let it become this sad.

The simpsons have gone downhill. I'd be willing to say:

Simpsons Seasons 4-9 > Family Guy > Simpsons Seasons 1-3, and 10+

Odd...you think the Simpsons suck, but you love the Critic...are we bizzaro world? ;)
I think any episode of the first 2 seasons of the Simpsons are better than every Critic episode combined. They just seemed like they tried waaaaaay too hard to be funny.

It's been on Comedy Central for months now.Thats what got TBS to start airing it, it was one of the top rated shows on that station so TBS also picked up some of the episodes.

daily show and tough crowd have that time slot though

and i thought that its different channels for different stations

like in new york FOX is 5 but somewhere else i could be 7

but usually the cable channels stay the same

There is a small chance they can put family guy back on the air. They just have to put on comedy central!I mean look at south park.If they allow south park they should allow family guy.Just put on comedy central at prime time

what happened to Family Guy was that they put the show during NBC's Friends. Because of that they got bad ratings, so they put it on different time slots, which got more bad audience ratings because people didn't know when it is showing, even i didn't know. They should really bring back the show, it something new, you know what i mean

There's rumors that Cartoon Network might greenlight new episodes because it's so highly rated.

7:30-Futurerama

That is one of the most genius things anyone has said lately, but sadly it wont come true  Futurama is possibly my second favourite cartoon TV show! The Simpsons have lost most of their credit after being on for so long ...

I really don't understand why Fox doesn't try to bring this show back. As of May 2003, there was a petition with something around 110,000 signatures asking that the show be renewed.

Family Guy almost didn't get a third season. The only thing that saved it for another year was a petition. So they do work every now and then.

Citizen Kane
08-25-2003, 07:23 PM
Yeah, but 110,000 names is extraordinary. Imagine how much of that comes from the US alone. The show could be a smash.

Anyways, I was thinking: wouldn't it be neat if the creators of The Simpsons invited the creators/writers of Family Guy to do an episode of The Simpsons in which the Griffins move in next door to The Simpsons? :D

KINGKURT553

The other side's got that chick that went all Thelma and Louise with Marge.

But yes, it would be funny. They did a Critic crossover, and it worked.

Yes it seems alot of people forget about the other side...
But Ruth and Laura Powers live there....
Maybe move them out for a while....

Citizen Kane

They could easily move them out...When was the last time anyone really noticed them?

We're supposed to look at it like the Gerald Ford thing, I think-just a one episod stint.

Ruth just appeared again this past season when Marge took steroids. Ruth apparently was in prison so that explains it.

The Hills made a brief appearence when Homer coached pee-wee football and Bender appeared once on The Simpsons. Plus some Bart Simpson toys appeared on Futurama.

Get Ready for Family Guy: The Movie!
Creator Seth McFarlane revealed to Cinescape that the rumor about the possible return of Family Guy is about to become a reality. "It's all come down to the budget right now. We're hashing it out. It would be a direct-to-DVD project." While the feature length Family Guy will be developed at Fox, it will be at a different division and not through the company's television arm. And as for when we might be able to see new Family Guy goodness: "Timeframe, you're probably looking at a year, a year-and-a-half down the line. It will take a while to make. If we could do it within a year it would be very exciting." With tremendous sales of the first DVD volume of Family Guy (the second set goes on sale starting next week) and ratings on Cartoon Network climbing high, McFarlane's now-cancelled series is proving to be more popular in its afterlife than it was when it was in active production on Fox. Expect all the TV series cast members to reprise their roles for the movie.
