I have just recently finished this book, and I loved it. Does anybody know if there are rumors about this being made into a film. Because this would make an absolutely brilliant film, although it may have to be more than one movie to complete the story. I just hope that this is made into a film, it would rock. Maybe Peter Jackson for Director.

not that i have heard but they have a list of films on this site that has information on upcoming movie projects, and also under movies on yahoo there is a section called greg's previews that talks about upcoming movies as well.

The Shannara books rank are one of my favorites along with the Coldfire trilogy and LOTR. I look at Terry Brooks website from time to time and there is no movie deal that has been announced. Although there is interest in Elfstones and Running with the Demon. Hope that helps.

I doubt if it was ever made into a movie that PJ would direct it.

The dood is already stereotyped as a 'fantasy' director because of LotR. Whenever anyone mentions a fantasy project people seem to assume Jackson is involved somehow.

No one thought they could make a movie on Lord of the Rings, and look what Peter Jackson has done. All I am saying is if The Sword of Shannara was made, I believe Jackson could transform it the best. And I can always wish cant I.
