With Freddy vs. Jason set to take over the box office this weekend, Creature Corner has received interesting word on what kind of sequel talk is already going on at New Line.

Reliable sources have revealed that one of the current ideas being tossed around includes a scenario where Freddy and Jason would team-up against a common enemy: Bruce Campbell as Ash from the "Evil Dead" films. As crazy as it might sound, this concept has apparently been met with a great deal of enthusiasm in the upper-echelons of New Line Cinema. (Not to mention the degrees of separation: "FvsJ" producer Sean S. Cunningham directed Campbell in last years "Terminal Invasion" for the SciFi Channel.)

Yeah there would be nothing better than to see Freddy and Jason tag- teaming against Ash. If this movie does get made, it better not be too comedic.

If it does get made, it would definitly be comedic. It has Ash in it duh. Atleast scenes with Ash would be funny. They could mix the style of films, but having Ash in a movie, and having it be serious? No, wrong.

Oh well, im not sure how much truth is behind it, but it would be excellent if it happened.

Well of course it's going to be funny every now & again. The keyword is "too". It shouldn't be too comedic.

Freddy is pretty funny. I think it'd be great if it was just Freddy vs Ash. Leave that slow walking, hokey mask wearing cracker at home.

Yeah I would have to say that movie would be pretty funny if it was made. Freddy and Ash together. Oh god. I would have to agree with Mat. Leave the gay hockey zombie at home with his momma.

There was a special preview last week and from what I've read the movie is the BEST horror movie ever, they even used 3000 gallons of blood and at the end of the screening it was given a standing ovation

Yeah that's true but I have no idea what new thing could be added. I'm sure if Bruce and others gave it some thought, we could get something just as cool or innovative. Then again if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Ash having his other hand get cut off was just an idea I had...

I say do it! But it's true, Ash should be the only funny thing in the whole movie. And the bonus is Bruce Campbell still looks like he did twenty years ago!
