I was looking to buy this on dvd its been out for ages though and theres practically no reduction on its price anywhere - shame.
It sells for about twice the price of films released at around the same time, whicxh is unusual.
So im going to wait about three weeks and for the price I would pay for it now I can buy the boxset with the Abyss, Aliens and the fifth element.
Anyway what I guess Im asking is why hasnt the price of this dvd been reduced even after the superbit version came out?

Why can't all the stores keep the same price structure because I went to 2 different Virgin stores (70 miles apart) and the prices were different

Same thing happened with Mallrats. They only recently dropped the price.
I always saw it for around $30, until recently. Now it's about $15 finally.

This thread just reminded me to get Dogma: SE. After all this time, it's STILL $30.

I think I'll wait till the American SuperBit release is available on budget. "The Fifth Element" has only been released as a great 2-disc Special Edition DVD in Germany(!), which is pretty expensive.

Good news!!
A new disk is being put together over in the UK with brand new material. As well as a wealth of extra material you can expect a DTS track! The details are still a little sketchy at present but more details are expected soon. It has been confirmed that it wont be the same as the 2 disk version being released in Germany.
The disc is currently slated to appear on the 3rd November.
