Thanks for the trailer.

Looking forward to Timeline, but 1) don't like the change from the professor to the guy's dad and 2) the dialogue sounds very crappy through all I've heard, but I haven't found a large enough chunk of the script to judge it fully yet.

Well, this second trailer makes the movie look better than the teaser did.

timeline sounds like the time machine, but it really only goes to one era (or so does it seem in the trailer) - The Time Machine rocked cause it went to all theses times, and the medival times kinda suck.

I couldn't disagree more. I think the medieval times are the best, if done properly. In fact I really can't wait to see how Richard Donner (Lethal Weapon, Superman) handles the medieval battle scenes. SHould be pretty cool. Something to tide me over between Matrix Rev and Last Samurai.

The book was pretty cool, but I've seen far too many good Micheal Crichton books turned into bad movies....I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

What did you guys think of the trailer?
I love the shot of all the flaming arrows.
I also liked PW's line "we have 650 years of knowledge on these guys . . . if we put our heads together we should be out of here in 15 minutes"

As rumors of Goonies 2 continue to circulate, thought I would revive this thread so people could talk about Donner's latest film (his first in 5 years).

I've said it once, and I'll say it again, the man makes great movies. Always entertaining - here are a sample of his best:

The Omen (1976)
Superman (1978)
The Goonies (1985) - A special place in all of our hearts.
Lethal Weapon (1987)
Scrooged (1988) - The best Christmas movie ever.
Lethal Weapon 2 (1989)
Lethal Weapon 3 (1992)
Maverick (1994) - This movie is on tv at least twice a week.
Lethal Weapon 4 (1998)

I can't wait to see what he does with Crichton's material-- who has had some hits himself.
