Since there is a group of people that want to fall desperately inlove with someone, this is their anti-thread. This is for people who think love is stupid. Like myself.

So anyways. Love stinks. All it does is make you do things that you'll regret later and go "what was I thinking??" Love never lasts. You always break up. So what's the point?

It's ironic since I'm one of those people but I agree with you. Love sucks. You'll only end up hurt..I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. Love is fickle because you get someone who loves you while it's convienent for them then dumps you on your ass as soon as someone better comes along..blah.

I don't know, I think love can be a wonderful thing. While there are many bastards out there, many people love others through and through. I try to be like that with my friends and family.

I've only been in love once. Great while it lasted... Then she moved... and it hurt. But we are still very good friends. So it lessens the blow.

I am in a similar boat to you. I've been in love once and only once. My ex and I didn't work out because of distance but we're really good friends, which makes it easier.

Regarding this thread, I really don't think love sucks. I think love can be the single most amazing thing in the entire world. However, I think love with the wrong person sucks.

Love pretty much sucks, I agree. Though, at times, it is a great feeling, but overall, it's a tad bit anti-climatic and can bring lots of pain.

But it's worth it.

Love is the only thing that can bring you the highest of highs and take you to the lowest of lows. I just want someone to love me, despite all the faults. I want to find someone who will truly love me, instead of just telling me they love me. Hopefully I'll find true love one day. I just want the same, I don't think it's too much to ask for. I'm still and hopefully will have a big life ahead of me, but now that I found my first love, but still don't have the greatest chances to be with her, I feel weird about it, or kinda sad sometimes... I'm pretty sure I'm in love and I feel pissed off sometimes that I can't get that in return, but I know one day I will, I guess I just wish it was right now.

I know it's not something you can choose but I still thought it was funny that this friend was so sick of men that she was ready to give up on them all together. At the time she said it she was very serious though it wasn't until a day or two later that she changed her mind.

Actually how could it lessen the blow?
That means you know if she's with someone else then, that hurts even more.
If you break up then stay friendly but don't stay friends that is setting yourself up for more pain.IMO.

what i'm saying is that women are just as bad as men.............but i'd prefer a women because i can take more control over her than a man............you shouldn't wish you were a lesbian.become BI you'll be better off and your options will be more open...;)

Nice post - these boards were becoming far to mushy - we need some more cynical views to balance things out.

As for Pepe - I think he has the right attitude for when it comes to love - you dont see him getting down after a bit of rejection.

I've come to believe falling in love has actually helped me, big time and for many reasons, most of which would probably bore you all to death. But yes, I'm most definitely a romantic at heart, and I do believe in love and think it's a great thing, even if it has it's disadvantages. There is still no greater feeling than loving another human being and knowing someone out there can enter into your mind and heart, 24/7... in my experience...

I think that love is the single most beautiful and heartwrenching feeling in the world. I am fortunate that I got to experience real love and a relationship, and when it ended I was very down in the dumps for a while. But love has changed me into a different person. It is almost like I was in a coma for most of my life and now I am really awake for the first time. I wouldn't trade any of it for a minute, because I'm a better person for having had the experience.

I think you just have to love as it is. You can fall in and out of love but in that moment it is one of the best thing is the world. Everything has light and dark, but you cant have one with out the other.
