It's happened to me a few times as well, luckily the sites I order from are usually generous enough to send replacement-copies immediately. So did the site that sent me this STVI DVD. Although, it wasn't an American site, since there are dozens of European websites that sell American DVDs, and also do it much sooner than American DVDs, which is why I got this disc (and why I get several other American DVDs) a week before the official release date.

CDWOW - which you mentioned - is a great place to buy DVDs. Loaded247.com is also a great site with great prices. I usually use a Danish site called axelmusic.dk, but they don't sell DVDs to places outside Denmark, but their sister-site axelmusic.com does. However, I have not tried this site yet.

I have yet to watch it. I bought it on a whim and because it was a great deal. I bought four other DVD's today and two other ones earlier this week. I will try to goet to it this weekend but I am not sure if I will have time. I have heard mix reviews about it, but I am sure I will enjoy it enough for the money I paid for it.

I just got Dumb and Dumberer at Blockbuster for $8. It was someone's trade-in so it came with the insert adn everything. I have heard this movie sucks but I lioke to have all the prequels and sequels related to a movie. All I need to get now is Ghostbusters 2

There are a couple of good jokes in Dumb and Dumberer, and the first half is better than the second half. If only the execution of the movie had been delivered a little better, and gotten a strenghtening rewrite, Dumb and Dumberer would just be the lesser prequel, instead of a bad movie.

And I can't believe you bought Dumb and Dumberer before you got Ghostbusters 2. I love Ghostbusters 2. It's got a higher corn factor than the original, and suffers from "the cartoon syndrome," which also afflicts MiB II, in which throwaway characters become important via the cartoon in between the sequels (Slimer, MiB's Worm Guys), but it's still a great flick.

Droidguy you have the Boomstick edition correct? When I was looking at the editions of AOD what really sold me the Boomstick edition was the directors cut of the film. How is it?

The Boomstick Edition is so-so. It's misframed (1.78:1 instead of 1.85:1 or something), and the deleted footage in the DC looks awful in terms of picture quality (mastered from VHS elements, not original film).

The DC is an improvement except for one thing -- the ending totally sucks. Otherwise, there's more fun stuff of Ash vs. Little Ashes, more evil Ash, and lots more battle footage. (They also change one trademark line, which sucks.)

Just got another great eBay steal -- for $13.25, less than what I would have paid for just the first flick in stores, I got both Trading Places and The Distinguished Gentleman on new DVDs today. Score.

I went to a used book store (this store, for the first time) and they had DVD's there...i got three books and planned to get about 4 more but then noticed they had some rare imports there that someone traded in......

I saw and quickly grabbed the American versions of The Killer and Hard Boiled, the DVD's are great, watched em both, they have Subtitled Cantonese as an option, as all imports should have but don't.
