$30.43 to be exact and I got it at Amazon with no sales tax or shipping.

The 12 discs come in their own thin cardboard sleeves. The box that the discs come in opens like a book and has velcro circles to keep the lid shut. None of the discs were scratched. I'm not expecting the quality of the picture and sound to be that great but depending on how good the set plays, I'll get the Sci-Fi set. There's a lot of movies on these sets that I've been wanting to see for a long time and I know some of them will be crappy but it seems to be worth the price.

how is the picture quality?

I watched the first movie "Carnival of Souls" from the set last night and the picture was decent, it did jump slightly for about 10 mins near the end of the movie. The sound was murky, mainly with the dialogue which was drowned out somewhat by the sound of car engines at the beginning of the film. This could be due to the film itself and the way the filmmakers made it. The menu on the disc contains a play movie button for each movie as well as scene selection, which there is only 4 scenes to jump to for each movie. It's not bad so far but I wasn't expecting the quality of the set to be that great to begin with.
