Anyone looking forward to this? Kind of surprised to not see a lot of talk about it since it's such a good cast and it looks like it will be more of a realistic action movie than some of the other stuff this summer (like T3 and Bad Boys 2). Personally, I'd enjoy it if it had only Samuel Jackson and a bunch of unknowns, but I've enjoyed all of Farrell's movies this year, and Michelle Rodriguez and L.L. Cool J are always fun. I was just kind of surprised to see that there is little buzz for this. Is everyone sick of action movies?...or is it those commercials where Olivier Martinez shouts "100 Meeleeon Dollars!!!"? :)

I can't wait for the release of this movie because it looks great and there was all the training they had to go through to make it look really professional

Just found out that it isn't released here in the UK until November 14th so I'll probably buy a pirate DVD and then watch it in the cinema when it's released

I might see it if I can get someone to go with me. I know I crack up everytime prison boy screams "one hundreeeeddd meeeeelllleeeeoooonn dollaaarrrrss!". Anyway, it looks worthy enough. Jackson and Farrell should kick ass. I lost most of my respect for LL after Rollerball. Awful memories.

I do think her bad boy appearance on screen is getting old, as it's the same character she always plays, and the same character she always gets casted for in films. I feel like im just seeing the same chick, but she's just doing other stuff in the world. (she was in Resident Evil as well)

EDouglas, I think your predictions are right on this week. I don't think we'll see anymore new releases hit over $40 million in the first weekend of release for the rest of summer. The buzz on everything left pails in comparison to the May fever that was swirling around here. SWAT would have had more run if it had been released earlier in the summer.

i want to see SWAT
and edouglas i dont agree with your predictions i think this weekend will be like the week last year when minority report and lilo and stitch both came out and they were so close but this time i think the comedy will win becuase freaky friday reviews i have read have mostly all been positive i havnt seen many reviews for swat though

I'm a little disappointed to learn that S.W.A.T. received a PG-13 in the U.S.. That said, due to the big-screen adaptation the original TV series is now available on DVD. It would be sure nice if some major U.S. network, like FOX maybe, revamp the S.W.A.T. story, and make it into a regular kick ass weekly series.
