SUPERFRIENDS
In the first of 6 SuperFriends series', Hanna-Barbera combined
the top five heroes from DC comics: Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman and Robin,
and Aquaman, and introduced Wendy, Marvin, and Wonder Dog Who resembled
Scooby Doo.
This show was a Hanna-Barbera Production. Hence Scooby's Resemblence.
Each episode of the SuperFriends was geared to present, not only action,
but also some lesson of educational value. In the short run of the series, a
number of other famous DC comic book heroes appeared: Plastic Man,
The Flash, and Green Arrow.

One of the races was the good C.A.T.S. (Covert Action Team) and the other
was the evil Daemonites. The two races fought over universal control. The series
was based upon the Jim Lee comic book of the same name. The show was a
Nelvana Entertainment production and aired on CBS.

TALES FROM THE CRYPTKEEPER
THE NEW TALES FROM THE CRYPTKEEPER
To capitalize on the merchandising craze brought forth by HBO's series,
"Tales from the Crypt," they invented this Saturday morning cartoon. Much like the
series (and EC comics) that the cartoon was based on, the show featured different
child characters weekly who ended up in twisted situations, but with a little more
morality play than the HBO series. Still hosting was The Cryptkeeper, and in
the second season, The Vaultkeeper and The Old Witch (both narrators from
the comic series) had come in to upstage The Cryptkeeper.
Show lasted two seasons on ABC and returned 5 years later as
"The New Tales From The Cryptkeeper".

SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED
Hijacking a space shuttle to help up John Jameson against Venom
and Carnage, Spider-Man ends up stuck on Counter-Earth, an Earth like planet
in the same orbit on other side of the sun. There he finds a high tech society
where humanoid animals, the beastials, rule under the leadership of the High
Evolutionary, while humans are seen as second class citizens.
Long waits for new episodes killed this show, as well as it being a
loose rip-off of Batman Beyond as well.

BATMAN BEYOND
Batman Beyond told the story about a new and different Batman.
It takes place 20 years after Batman appeared for the last time. Terry McGinnis
rekindles the fire in Bruce Wayne's bitter old heart, and takes up the role as the
new Dark Knight - with the old one as his mentor. With a new ruler of Gotham City,
Derek Powers, crime is at an all time high. After Terry finds out Bruce's secret, and
his father is killed, Terry becomes the new Batman. He has to juggle life being a
superhero, and being a high school student. He's a more high-tech Batman, with
rocket boots and cloaks. He's the Knight of Tomorrow.
The Zeta Project was a spin-off from this show.

THE TICK
The Tick is a superhero in a city full of superheroes. The only
problem is, none of them are any good. Arthur is his sidekick. He used to be
an accountant, but he decided to join the Tick and fight crime, or at least try to.
Even the villains are a goofy bunch. The only hero that can really kick butt is
American Maid, but even she has her moments of blundering. Anyway, the Tick
is a big blue tick. He has great strength and a bare minimum on brains.
Somehow, he usually saves the day.
A Brilliant show and an awesome character.

IRON MAN
This show was about Tony Stark, major weapons manufacturer
who creates a suit that to save his life from shrapnel lodged in his body.
When the scientist who created the Iron Man suit for Tony was killed,
Stark vowed his death would not be in vane. He now uses the suit to fight evil.
His arch enemy is The Mandarin, who he fights alone or with the
Forceworks Team.
The animation was weak but this show had it's moments.

MTV'S ODDITIES : THE MAXX
Most of us inhabit at least two worlds: The real world where we're at
the mercy of circumstance and the world within, the unconscious, a safe
place where we can escape.
The Maxx shifts between these worlds against his will. Here, homeless, he lives
in a box in an alley. The only one who really cares for him is Julie Winters, a
freelance social worker. But in panjea, the other world, he rules the outback and
is the protector of Julie, his jungle queen. There he cares for her. But he always
ends up back in the real world.
"And me? Old Mr. Gone. Only I can see that the secret which unites them could
destroy them. I could be helpful…
Bah, screw it. I think I'll have some fun with them first."
Thus was the premise to this great underrated show
that looked and was almost exactly like the comic it was based on.
This aired as part of MTV'S "ODDITIES " with "THE HEAD".

THE NEW BATMAN ADVENTURES
Batman: the Animated Series Premiered on September 5, 1992.
The series was based on the popular Batman comics created by Bob Kane.
The series focused on the adventures of Batman a dark vigilante hero who
defends Gotham City from a variety of costumed villians that include The Joker,
The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, The Riddler, The Mad Hatter,
Ra's al Ghul, Bane, Killer Croc, Clayface, and The Clock King.
One of the most popular Versions of The Batman Mythos that is quite
possibly the greatest Animated Comic book Series of al time.
Certainly my favorite.
When Fox cancelled this series in 1995 , it reappeared again on
Kids WB ! in 1997 with a darker modified look but still retained the
stories and animation.
It then Became known as The New Batman Adventures, (Or Gotham Knights)
and took place two years
after the last episode of Batman: The Animated Series.
Batman has continued to fight crime in Gotham City, but there have been
some changes. Dick Grayson has become Nightwing; Tim Drake has taken
over the role of Robin; and Batgirl has become apart of Batman's team.
But the Dark Knight's greatest villains continue to plague
Gotham City, so not everything had changed.
This series aired alongside Superman as part of The New
Batman/Superman Adventures on the WB.

Quick-witted Virgil Hawkins finds himself imbued with
electromagnetic superpowers after being exposed to a mutanic gas and
takes on the guise of Static, an urban hero of his own creation. He confronts
real problems and issues faced by today's kids, such as peer pressure,
gangs and growing up in an ethnically diverse urban neighborhood. Learning
to control his powers, figuring out how to patrol the skies at night and still
make it home in time to study for his chemistry class, Virgil's greatest
discovery becomes the real "charge" he gets in helping people and making
a positive difference in his community - Dakota City.
A great show that was given the proper time to develop and find it's
nitsche.One of the longest running animated series based on a
comic.

THE NEW BATMAN ADVENTURES
Batman: the Animated Series Premiered on September 5, 1992.
The series was based on the popular Batman comics created by Bob Kane.
The series focused on the adventures of Batman a dark vigilante hero who
defends Gotham City from a variety of costumed villians that include The Joker,
The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, The Riddler, The Mad Hatter,
Ra's al Ghul, Bane, Killer Croc, Clayface, and The Clock King.
One of the most popular Versions of The Batman Mythos that is quite
possibly the greatest Animated Comic book Series of al time.
Certainly my favorite.
When Fox cancelled this series in 1995 , it reappeared again on
Kids WB ! in 1997 with a darker modified look but still retained the
stories and animation.
It then Became known as The New Batman Adventures, (Or Gotham Knights)
and took place two years
after the last episode of Batman: The Animated Series.
Batman has continued to fight crime in Gotham City, but there have been
some changes. Dick Grayson has become Nightwing; Tim Drake has taken
over the role of Robin; and Batgirl has become apart of Batman's team.
But the Dark Knight's greatest villains continue to plague
Gotham City, so not everything had changed.
This series aired alongside Superman as part of The New
Batman/Superman Adventures on the WB.

STATIC SHOCK
Quick-witted Virgil Hawkins finds himself imbued with
electromagnetic superpowers after being exposed to a mutanic gas and
takes on the guise of Static, an urban hero of his own creation. He confronts
real problems and issues faced by today's kids, such as peer pressure,
gangs and growing up in an ethnically diverse urban neighborhood. Learning
to control his powers, figuring out how to patrol the skies at night and still
make it home in time to study for his chemistry class, Virgil's greatest
discovery becomes the real "charge" he gets in helping people and making
a positive difference in his community - Dakota City.
A great show that was given the proper time to develop and find it's
nitsche.One of the longest running animated series based on a
comic.

SPIDER-WOMAN
This animated series was produced by DePatie-Freleng Enterprises,
with the character of Spider-Woman being specifically created in order for
Marvel Comics to have a female counterpart to Spider-Man before any other
comics company thought of the idea.
She first appeared in the comic Marvel Spotlight #32 in February 1977 and was
originally intended to actually be a genetically altered spider, having been evolved
into human form, named Arachne. This story was changed for her next
appearance in Spider-Woman #1 in April 1978, where it was said that her
spider powers were granted to Jessica Drew by the character of the
High Evolutionary (later a regular character in the
Craptacular Spider-Man Unlimited TV show).

SPAWN
Spawn is the story of Al Simmons, an African-American employee
of the U.S. government who is killed in the line of duty while working as a CIA
assassin. Being completely devoted to his wife Wanda, Al sells his soul to the
devil - Malebolgia - in exchange for a second chance on earth. But Malebolgia
has sent him five years into the future, with no memories, and in the
unrecognizable form of a "hell spawn" with superhuman powers. In his effort
to make sense of his new existence, Spawn must also use these powers to

THE NEW ADVENTURES OF BATMAN
This series was produced by the Filmation studio in 1977.
This was the second Batman animated series produced by them, after the
1968-1969 series. The character designs for most of the characters
(except Commissioner Gordon) were retained from the earlier series,
although the more sophisticated animation technique of rotoscoping
(tracing the characters' movements over live action footage) was used to
give the characters a more fluid movement. Each episode also contained a
short, moralistic "Bat Message" at the end.
This was the first time that both Adam West and Burt Ward returned to their
famous roles of Batman & Robin since the end of the live-action show in
1968. The series was actually on air at the same time as Hanna-Barbera's
The All-New SuperFriends Hour, making this one of the very few times in
television animation history that two characters' exploits were being
produced simultaneously by two different studios!

Spider-Man continued where the successful live action feature film left off.
The series follows the adventures of superhero Peter Parker and his friends,

Web designer/photographer for the Daily Bugle and an on-again, off-again
relationship with the love of his life, all while fighting to protect the world
from super-villains.
Had a unique computer animated style that didn't appeal much to
hard core fans.

Actually , it is a huge success.
The Cartoon Network has renewed it until 2007.
They ordered 3 more seasons.

And Spider-Man was not a flop , MTV just decided to pass on it as they are going in a different direction with programming.

The creators canned it tho, because the storylines folllow the first film and the new one's storyline will clash with it.

In the first of 6 SuperFriends series', Hanna-Barbera combined
the top five heroes from DC comics: Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman and Robin,
and Aquaman, and introduced Wendy, Marvin, and Wonder Dog Who resembled
Scooby Doo.
This show was a Hanna-Barbera Production. Hence Scooby's Resemblence.
Each episode of the SuperFriends was geared to present, not only action,
but also some lesson of educational value. In the short run of the series, a
number of other famous DC comic book heroes appeared: Plastic Man,
The Flash, and Green Arrow.

THE NEW TALES FROM THE CRYPTKEEPER
To capitalize on the merchandising craze brought forth by HBO's series,
"Tales from the Crypt," they invented this Saturday morning cartoon. Much like the
series (and EC comics) that the cartoon was based on, the show featured different
child characters weekly who ended up in twisted situations, but with a little more
morality play than the HBO series. Still hosting was The Cryptkeeper, and in
the second season, The Vaultkeeper and The Old Witch (both narrators from
the comic series) had come in to upstage The Cryptkeeper.
Show lasted two seasons on ABC and returned 5 years later as
"The New Tales From The Cryptkeeper".

planets fit for consumption yet not containing life, the herald of Galactus. Galactus
accepts the offer and empowers him with the power cosmic, as well as removing
the memories of his humanity, thus creating the Silver Surfer. The Surfer serves
as the faithful servant to Galactus until a confrontation with the evil Thanos awakens
his memories of his home planet and his love Shalla Bal. After defending Earth
from Galactus, the Surfer is allowed to go out on his own only to discover that an
angry Galactus has moved Zenn-La into an unknown area of space. Now facing
isolation, hatred from those whose planets he helped destroy, and an ever present
threat from Galactus, the Silver Surfer roams through space seeking out his
home and helping those he meets along the way.
Beautifully animated to look like Jack Kirby art and well thoughtout
storylines and character development , this show was a masterpiece
but was shelved when Marvel went through it's bankruptcy issues.
Maybe one day the unaired shows will pop up on DVD.

abiilties for wealth and fame, he lets his ego blind him to the needs of
others, and indirectly causes the death of his uncle Ben when he refuses
to help a police officer catch a fleeing criminal. Humbled by his failure, he
resolves to use his talents for fighting crime, and becomes the superhero
Spider-Man. While he fights assorted super-villains, Peter also must balance
his personal life, including his girlfriend Mary Jane, his job as a photographer
at the Daily Bugle, and a an editor who has convinced himself that Spider-man
is a criminal that has to be brought down.
This is possibly the best Spider-Man Series as it was
very faithful to the comics and enjoyed a long and popular run.
It's the Series that anyone born in the late 80's Early 90's
would be most familiar with.

While Spidey rarely fought his own villains, mainly tackling Aliens and

Batman Beyond told the story about a new and different Batman.
It takes place 20 years after Batman appeared for the last time. Terry McGinnis
rekindles the fire in Bruce Wayne's bitter old heart, and takes up the role as the
new Dark Knight - with the old one as his mentor. With a new ruler of Gotham City,
Derek Powers, crime is at an all time high. After Terry finds out Bruce's secret, and
his father is killed, Terry becomes the new Batman. He has to juggle life being a
superhero, and being a high school student. He's a more high-tech Batman, with
rocket boots and cloaks. He's the Knight of Tomorrow.
The Zeta Project was a spin-off from this show.

THE TICK
The Tick is a superheroe in a city full of superheroes. The only
problem is, none of them are any good. Arthur is his sidekick. He used to be
an accountant, but he decided to join the Tick and fight crime, or at least try to.
Even the villains are a goofy bunch. The only hero that can really kick butt is
American Maid, but even she has her moments of blundering. Anyway, the Tick
is a big blue tick. He has great strength and a bare minimum on brains.
Somehow, he usually saves the day.
A Brilliant show and an awesome character.

SPIDER-MAN
After being bitten by a radioactive spider, young Peter Parker finds
that he now has spider-like super powers. Hoping to use his new-found
abiilties for wealth and fame, he lets his ego blind him to the needs of
others, and indirectly causes the death of his uncle Ben when he refuses
to help a police officer catch a fleeing criminal. Humbled by his failure, he
resolves to use his talents for fighting crime, and becomes the superhero
Spider-Man. While he fights assorted super-villains, Peter also must balance
his personal life, including his girlfriend Mary Jane, his job as a photographer
at the Daily Bugle, and a an editor who has convinced himself that Spider-man
is a criminal that has to be brought down.
This is possibly the best Spider-Man Series as it was
very faithful to the comics and enjoyed a long and popular run.
It's the Series that anyone born in the late 80's Early 90's
would be most familiar with.

Batman: the Animated Series Premiered on September 5, 1992.
The series was based on the popular Batman comics created by Bob Kane.
The series focused on the adventures of Batman a dark vigilante hero who
defends Gotham City from a variety of costumed villians that include The Joker,
The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, The Riddler, The Mad Hatter,
Ra's al Ghul, Bane, Killer Croc, Clayface, and The Clock King.
One of the most popular Versions of The Batman Mythos that is quite
possibly the greatest Animated Comic book Series of al time.
Certainly my favorite.
When Fox cancelled this series in 1995 , it reappeared again on
Kids WB ! in 1997 with a darker modified look but still retained the
stories and animation.
It then Became known as The New Batman Adventures, (Or Gotham Knights)
and took place two years
after the last episode of Batman: The Animated Series.
Batman has continued to fight crime in Gotham City, but there have been
some changes. Dick Grayson has become Nightwing; Tim Drake has taken
over the role of Robin; and Batgirl has become apart of Batman's team.
But the Dark Knight's greatest villains continue to plague
Gotham City, so not everything had changed.
This series aired alongside Superman as part of The New
Batman/Superman Adventures on the WB.

Four turtles fall into the sewers and are befriended by
Hamato Yoshi a Japanese man sent to New York who was forced to
live in the sewers. One day he sees a strange green glow which transforms
the four turtles into human-like creatures. Hamato (now Master Splinter)
changes into a giant rat from the green glow and teaches the turtles the
skills of the ninja as they team up with Channel 6 news reporter April O'Neil
to battle against Yoshi's arch enemy Shredder and Krang, an alien from
Dimension X.
Along with the Super friends this is the longest running animated
series based on a comic.

THE NEW TALES FROM THE CRYPTKEEPER
To capitalize on the merchandising craze brought forth by HBO's series,
"Tales from the Crypt," they invented this Saturday morning cartoon. Much like the
series (and EC comics) that the cartoon was based on, the show featured different
child characters weekly who ended up in twisted situations, but with a little more
morality play than the HBO series. Still hosting was The Cryptkeeper, and in
the second season, The Vaultkeeper and The Old Witch (both narrators from
the comic series) had come in to upstage The Cryptkeeper.
Show lasted two seasons on ABC and returned 5 years later as
"The New Tales From The Cryptkeeper".

THE TICK
The Tick is a superheroe in a city full of superheroes. The only
problem is, none of them are any good. Arthur is his sidekick. He used to be
an accountant, but he decided to join the Tick and fight crime, or at least try to.
Even the villains are a goofy bunch. The only hero that can really kick butt is
American Maid, but even she has her moments of blundering. Anyway, the Tick
is a big blue tick. He has great strength and a bare minimum on brains.
Somehow, he usually saves the day.
A Brilliant show and an awesome character.

BATMAN BEYOND
Batman Beyond told the story about a new and different Batman.
It takes place 20 years after Batman appeared for the last time. Terry McGinnis
rekindles the fire in Bruce Wayne's bitter old heart, and takes up the role as the
new Dark Knight - with the old one as his mentor. With a new ruler of Gotham City,
Derek Powers, crime is at an all time high. After Terry finds out Bruce's secret, and
his father is killed, Terry becomes the new Batman. He has to juggle life being a
superhero, and being a high school student. He's a more high-tech Batman, with
rocket boots and cloaks. He's the Knight of Tomorrow.
The Zeta Project was a spin-off from this show.
