I remember rumors that it'd be a Criterion release, but those were shot down in no time.

Yeah, some part of the official site went to the Criterion home page when clicked on...but Criterion denied it. Of course, they could have just been covering for it...

I saw the trailer for it and it looks good. very visual though i felt like it looked depressing.......in a way. But i will check it out

as for the DVD i heard it's going to be bare-bones. as some of you mentioned, there are rumors of a criterion edition coming out...but that's not confirmed. we'll have to stay tuned.
