I was on BD's website and this girl thinks she knows what happens at the end. I think she might be right..but I guess I'll have to find out when I see it.

Here is what she said......

"I'm sure it's been done before but here's what I think will happen in the end.

In the trailer it shows Freddy and Jason in a burning room together.
It shows Monica Keena running from a burning building.
It shows an explosion of a building as two people stand on the end of the dock.
It shows Monica Keena holding torches yelling "Go to hell!"
It shows Monica and some dude in a burning building together.
And how at the theaters it says to see the final 60 seconds go see it august 15th or some **** like that.

Well i think that Monica Keena will trap Freddy and Jason in a house/building/cabin while they are distracted with fighting eachother. She'll catch it on fire, run like hell, it blows up, and she thinks it's all over. But the last few seconds of the film will end with Freddy and Jason sticking their arms(with weapons) out of the rubble. Thus screaming "NEXT FILM"

What do you guys think of my 'prediction'?

And just so you know, no I haven't been to the screening yet, I'm doin' that on the 30th."

I doubt we will have a clear winner at the end of the movie.....

Yeah. Ronny Yu and others involved have stated that they want to make this a whole new franchise so it will probably end without some sort of resolution. But franchise? Not too happy about that. I can only stand to watch Freddy & Jason duke it out most likely only 2 times unless some brillian BRILLIANT storyline is introduced.

if theirs a seqeul their probaly going to have it take place after jason x. but that would be the third freddy vs jason.the first seqeul wuld probaly take place right after this one and they would probaly add another slasher for the movie to get more money

Anyone ever read the Jason Vs. LeatherFace Comic from Topps comics about 10 years Ago? That was so bad. There really isn't much to do with 2 characters who don't talk. Leatherface will never meet either of these two on screen.

i think after theres a pile of ruble, theyll close up to it and show JASON's pask on top, then suddenly FREDDY's hand comes out and grabes it!!!!!!

They already done that once.It would be lame and have no effect this time.

I think he may have been joking.

But come on, seriously, we all know right from the get-go, of course there's not gonna be any clear-cut winner. It'll play out just like your standard comic cross-over, they'll wail on each other for a while, then something will happen where they either have to stop for some reason or another, or they both "die". But really, who cares if there's a winner as long as we get plenty of the aforementioned wailing? I'm personally looking forward to arguing with some dumb-ass Freddy fan over how "Jason would have took him if" such and such "hadn't happened." That's half the fun.

::enter the "dumb ass Freddy fan":: I personally think Freddy could kick Jason's ass. Or well, in his own reality. It's actually a 2 sided thing. Put Jason in Freddy's nightmare world, and Freddy could outwit him and take him to the death. But put Freddy in the real world with Jason where he's powerless, and Jason has major strength over Freddy. ::shrugs:: So yeah, I'm ready for all the battling. Long been ready.

i think the ending JasonLV stated would be bad, sure its reasonable, but thats happened so many times, itd be too cliched, way too obvious. they need a nice twist at the end, like an arrival of some other famour horror icon, i.e., Micheal Myers, or Pinhead maybe. some cool twist like that, not just the "good guys know bad guys are dead, but theyre not, come back next time kiddies." ending.

I noticed that and was happy they took that dumb line out of the movie. That was the only thing I hated about the trailer was that cheesy line.

I think Jason took out Freddy's head for a good reason. Freddy could've easily tricked Jason in his dreams to bring him ashore, since in the first films Jason's Mom's head was cut off. Freddy could've easily tricked Jason in his dreams to think he was his Mom. Afterall, why would Jason else wise waste his time with the head. Mantle it?

Funniest scene in this movie, Gibb yelling *Welcome to my world *****!*. I thought it was a great film. Both killers were treated with respect by the writers and directors, and the fight scenes were great. I especially liked the way Freddy and Jason both used each others weaknesses against one another. Was pretty funny to see Jason lying on the floor crying like a little ***** after Freddy invades his dreams.

Ah-hah! Ah-hah, ah-hah, ah-hah! This is why I went into argument mode over in the "Why New Line Didn't Use Kane Hodder" thread, Snikt. This is what I was trying to say, almost, I just couldn't quite articulate it correctly. It felt this way to me, as well, that FVJ was more of a Nightmare movie. Maybe it wouldn't have felt that way, at least not to such a degree, with the more familiar Kane Hodder behind the mask. I hate to beat this subject to death, but do you see where I'm coming from? No Kane seems like a betrayal to the Friday freaks in much the same way (but to a lesser degree) that having someone besides Robert Englund play Freddy would have been a betrayal to the Nightmare dorks. Okay, I'll drop it now.

Your right ender maybe that's why this was Nightmare 8 in disguise more than it was Jason XI.
Maybe they didn't want someone with Kane's presence to over shadow Englund.
I see your point.

I still think..

Freddy tricked Jason into carrying his head. Afterall, Freddy knows Jason's thoughts.

And remember his Mom's head was cut off in the first movie. And then there was a shrine of her head in the next.

Then Freddy himself even makes a gag in the film when he holds up the Mom's head.

But who knows?

sniktawt
08-18-2003, 02:05 AM
Nah, that was a gag ending.
Like Jason Goes To Hell.

It's like in part 4 when Tommy did that eye thing or Part 5 when He killed that chick all put in for a shock ending.

I said this in another thread, they're still in the lake.Imo.

Maybe. Or maybe they're still dreaming. Freddy can grow limbs and body parts back when in dreams..

sniktawt
08-18-2003, 09:46 AM
That could be true, but how many times has the next film actually carried over the last films's ending ?

Rarely.

Freddy is they best. He'll be back. We havent seen the last of him. Plus, the prequel is coming out later (most likely a LONG later)

it would not have been jason XI anyways because its before jason X so more like freddy vs jason like the movie title even thow
it had a more freddy feel to put it to people strait its not nightmare on elm street 8 disguis nighmare on elm street is strictly freddy friday the 13th is jason so this movie's freddy vs jason its not friady the 13th seqaul its not a nightmarte on elm street seqaul its just freddy vs jason
