Controversial US critic claims Harry is gay
Controversial US critic Michael Bronski has made claims that Harry Potter might be gay, by claiming that JK Rowling's phenomenally successful books mirror the experiences of young gay people. He said: "It struck me in the first few pages that there was a revolt against accepted conventional life. A lot of gay people I know read the books that way and it really mirrors their own experiences."
"It is astonishing the interpretation people can put on something," said a source close to the author. "There is nothing in these claims

Tom Riddle gay? But he is Voldemort so Voldemort would be gay. Next someone will be saying that he is trying to kill Harry because he turned down an invitation to go on a date.

OK, so Harry Potter's life mirrors their own experiences. So I'm guessing their parents were killed by an all-powerful evil wizard and they fly around on broomsticks, levetate objects, know people who can turn into animals, have seen dragons and hippogryffs and all sorts of magical creatures, and know of a whole different world filled with magic, witches, wizards, and the like. Yes, I'm sure that that really mirrors the experiences of gay people.

Harry will become a stud.. King stud. But do you think that he'll be like his dad when it comes to chasing the girls. The more i think about this matter, the more i think the likelyhood of a love triangle starting between Harry, Ron and Hermione. This could be a very large sub-plot of the 7th book?
What you guys think?

Yea, it's funny because Harry is the only one of the two that actually deserves to show off. What did James ever do in school? Get popular? HA!
I don't think J.k.'s ever going to make it "easy" for Harry. She wants him to have troubles so her readers can relate to him. It would have been too perfect for everyone to flock after Harry and all the girls to love him- as they rightly should;) Although we'd like to see him become really popular (like the D.A. thing), the common public would be disappointed with a hero like that. I think they'd rather see a skinny, messy-haired kid who was bullied most of his life end up saving the wizarding world. It wouldn't be in his character to ever enjoy popularity even if it does eventually befall him. The thing is- Harry should be insanely popular because of the kind of person he is and all the things he's done. Yet he isn't. It lets readers know its OK not to be the coolest person in school or be well liked by everyone as long as you know you are being the best person you can be. And as long as you are doing what you believe in and what you feel is right. As for those ppl that refuse to believe Voldy is back? Heck with em!

There aren't any signs. Only the imaginary ones that the stupid critic has created in his small little mind. And even those aren't the least substantial.

I agree there are NO signs in the book that would direct a reader to thinking Harry is gay. It's another one of those ppl who had nothing better to do than write an article about a bunch of bull
