Okay, I have to admit that I'm using this as research for Tuesday's Weekend Warrior, but of all the sequels this summer, this is the one that most bodes the question "Why?" Sure, I haven't seen the original movie even though I have seen plenty of Smith and Lawrence movies. I just don't remember it ever being considered a great movie and I don't think I've ever heard anyone mention it as being one of their favorite movies. Maybe I'm still smarting from Hollywood Homicide and I'm just against this genre of movie, but considering how poorly some recent sequels that people might have *really* wanted to see have done, does this have a chance?

Anyone really want to see this movie or is it just more Sony hype working overtime? (Okay, I guess i could have done this as a poll....)

I'll probably see it the car chase looks ok, and although I didnt see the first one until it was on tv it was enjoyable. It looks like a good strictly by the numbers budy cop movie and there is nothing worng with that. It certainly looks better than stuff like the transporter etc.

Bad Boys is a great film and I have a feeling this will be just as good. I am seeing it for sure

This movie will take in a moderate amount of business...probably right around $100 million. It has way more appeal than Hollywood Homicide because its main actors are minorities, so that opens-up your fan base a lot more. Despite the earring, Harrison Ford isn't actually hip among 18-25 year-olds anymore. Smith and Lawrence had great chemistry in the original and bring some attitude to the screen.

The movie won't scorch the box office since its late in summer and its not exactly an original concept, but it will do decent.

The first ones action was pretty good, so this one's should be cool....

Of course the action's gonna be cool. Let's not forget this is a Jerry Bruckheimer production. He is THE man when it comes to big explosions and in- your- face action.

bad boys was great.. the only good movie with martin lawrence while will smith has other good movies (men in black, ennemy of the state.. thats all i can think of haha) ...
this one looks cool...there isnt as much advertising for it as i thought there would be... the posters are so crap for bad boys 2..
the trailer looks cool..even though it seems like all the movies we have seen before..no surprises....
gonna see it definitely..
not gonna be the best of the summer (still pirates of the caribbean holding that spot...)

Is anyone getting sick of the whole Buddy Cop genre? You know, one's a badass, the other's a comic foil. It's just getting tired and repeated. I wish Hollywood would stop releasing five of these a year.

It could be a decent action flick, because the first one was. But I don't think anyone was really salivating and waiting for this sequel.

I've really been waiting for it. I don't know why it took this long.

And the 'buddy cop' genre does make for some bad movies, but there are a few franchises that make it worth it (Lethal Weapon, Bad Boys, Rush Hour)

looks like crap. anything with martin lawrence in it is guaranteed to not be good. black knight, national security, big momma's house, all terrible movies. bad boys was the only decent movie he has been in. but a bad boys sequel? very passable, mindless blowem up buddy comedy. theres not much more you can do with the buddy cop genre. hollywood homicide anyone? basically, everyone here has already seen this movie.

Add to that the fact that this has had a ridiculous number of rewrites and complications getting made and you can understand why I'm so skeptical.

It's not like the script has been an important issue to Michael Bay in all of his directing carreer. I fail to see why this is so important to you.

Even the original Bad Boys was pretty dumbed down yet enjoyable, Armageddon was horrible, I skipped Pearl Harbor because I knew I wouldn't like it, and I have yet to see the Rock (and not sure if I should, I loathed Armageddon so much that I approach anything with the name Bruckheimer or Bay with caution). I'll see Bad Boys II for the blow-em-up additude of the original which worked for the film and for Will Smith. Big Will has provided me with entertainment since I first saw him in MIB. Now a Will Smith movie is a must see on my list every year.:o

How can anyone not like Jerry Bruckheimer movies?
This guy brought you Top Gun, Beverly Hills cop, THE ROCK, CON air, Bad Boys, armageddon,Pirates
of the caribbean, coyote ugly ( girls!)Gone in 60 seconds. All great ACTION movies.. I know it also
depends on the director not just the producer.. but Michael bay has done most of the good one. The rock is awesome.
Bad Boys was great. Mark Mancina did the music for that . couldnt ask for better and hes
back for the sequel.. everyone from the original is back. I do agree with Pearl Harbor not being
too good.. and Bad Company.. what the hell was that?
but in my opinion.. when ever I see a trailer and I see that lighting rod strike that tree before it starts.. I know
im going to see it.

I wouldn't call the Bad Boys franchise good movies, or for that matter any Bruckheimer flick save for POTC and maybe BHC, but his movies are entertaining and thats why I go see most of them, and will definatley see BB2

Bad Boys is the only movie that makes me laugh like I'm watching it for the first time. It was on TV yesterday and I had real pleasure watching it for God knows how many.st time.I've no doubt that the second one will rock.

The first one was mediocre. I'll just wait and rent this sequel. Martin Lawrence is terribly not funny. Will Smith is better, but is it really worth seeing Martin Lawrence just to see Will Smith? I don't think so.

I care and its going to be the best movie of the summer, just wait and see.

Martin Lawrence sucks , and so dose evey film he has been in - this should be no exception. If you want action go rent Vice City at least you wont have to put up with bad acting.

The first was good but I'm not to sure what to expect from the second. I will probably be surprised and get enjoyment out of it like I did with the first one.

Pretty pumped for this movie: the first one wasn't like the greatest thing I'd ever seen, but then again neither was Charlie's Angels and I saw that sequel (which rocked lemme tell ya). Martin and Will are both really funny when they're on top of their game, so I'm hopin this will be a real treat come this weekend. O BTW every1 by the soundtrack it freakin rocks

2 1/2 hour running time for a sequel looking identical to the first?? definitely a rental!!!

I loved the first Bad Boys. Personally I think Will Smith is highly overrated and Martin Lawrence is far out funnier than Will could ever be...and he knows it.

Sure the Martin Lawrence films aren't all that great but still a good chuckle here and there. I liked Black Knight and his TV sitcom that was on about 10 years ago. Anybody remember House Party 1 and 2 featuring Kid And Play? They were also downright hilarious. Whatever happened to Kid And Play???

I look forward to Bad Boys 2 regardless of the mixed reviews the movie has been getting since it's release.

As for Bruckheimer. Jerry's the man. I've enjoyed everything he's produced from Beverly Hills Cop to Top Gun to Days Of Thunder to Remember The Titans. I liked Pearl Harbor for the action not the romance, Armageddon was brilliant. It leaves me with a tear everytime Bruce Willis was about to die. Crimson Tide. Brilliant. Enemy Of The State. Excellent. Con Air, The Rock, Coyote Ugly. Awesome. Still if it weren't for Don Simpson Jerry wouldn't be as big as he is right now IMO.

I'm really looking forward to Pirates Of The Caribbean and I still haven't seen Kangaroo Jack yet.

FVD.

why not!? I liked it but I wouldn't see it again. The second one was just a tad bit better than the first one. Or was it the first one that was better? :D
