All of you seem to have forgoten that in August 26 the DVD of TTT is coming to Video Clubs. There must be a plan not to be shown any trailer, spoiler e.t.c until that day. Trere plan is that everyone(Just Like I Did) will buy that DVD just to see the 10 minutes preview of The Return Of The King inside the TTT DVD. I already have a pirate TTT DVD which is just like the real thing, but i also bought the True TTT DVD just to see the 10 minutes preview of the ROTK. See The Trick??? They Want Us To Do That before releasing Any Trailer!!! I Suggest you take that DVD also so that you don't have to wait until september just to see something that will look like a trailer.

actually its right. there going to try and get more money from you for the extended edition, so just wait. the 10 minute preview will be on kazaa about a week before the dvd comes out, thats how it worked last year. so the theatrical dvd is pointless.

Yeah, just like last year, all the features that I was interested in checking out popped up online the next day. I'm not really interested in buying the 2-discer. Just the EE for me.

I don't mind buying both releases of Two Towers. I did the same thing with Fellowship, and i'm not going to wait for the extended version before I can see it again. Obi-Wan wants it now!

I Bought The 2 Disc DVD First In Widescreen Cause I Couldn't Find It In FullScrean , So I Continue Buying The Rest In Widescreen Also. But My TV Also Has Both Systems To Choose So It's The Same Thing For Me Like The Previous Friend Over Here Said.

And Yes ! I Also Have Dolby Suround System In My Room To Fully Enjoy This Epic Film In Maximum Way That I Can !!!

I Have Also Seen Them Both In Widescreen And Fullscreen And I Think It Looked Better In Widescreen. I Guess It Depends On What Kind Of TV You Got ha?
What Do You Think?

I dont know if i should buy this dvd. I bought the 2 disc FOTR dvd and then the EE. I havent even seen the theatrical in over a year, i only watch the extended edition. I might just rent it, and wait for the EE. And yeah, widescreen is waaaay better.

And Plus You WIll Be A LOTR Collector Like I Am And Many Others As You Must Already Have Seen In Others Posts In This Thread.

My Opinion Is That Its Better If You Have Your Own DVD Of The TT (With The 10 Minutes Preview Inside) Than Download It From Somewhere On The Net!

Not The Same Thing As The Real One !!!

Am I Right???

Spy-Of-Saruman
07-23-2003, 10:03 AM
I Agree With That

loyis7

Thanks Spy-Of-Saruman ;)

It's Just My Opinion About The Quality That A Afthentic DVD Gives You Rather Than A Pirate DVD or Something Else.

You Cannot Compare This.

Hell, i'll just do what I did last year, rent TTT when it comes out and buy the special editon when it comes out. Nice and Simple.

whoa...slow down now. Both ? Explain how that works. If something is fullscreen and you "click" widescreen it adds the black on the top and the bottom? Is it then the same "widescreen quality" (can't think of a way to describe how the picture is slightly re-formatted) that you would normally get with a widescreen dvd? Or is it tricking you? And what kind of TV is it? A big projection TV or a just widescreen TV in the first place? And what brand is it?

Why would you pay money to see it once when you can get it at the library for free and keep it for a whole week!?! Well at least that's what you can do at my library.:D :p You can reserve items online so I reserved TTT months ago in case I decide not to buy it right away and I was like 6th in line. Since they always buy like 15 copies of LOTR, I'll definitely get it as soon as it comes. :applaud: I love libraries!!!

Hmmm, good explanation, maybe i will buy it. It seems kinda stupid paying 6 dollars to rent it and seeing it only for a day.

actually....i had meant to make that my point but i never got around to it. Thanks for catching that!
I waited for the EE last time and I'm kinda upset cuz i liked a lot of the special features on the theatrical (borrowed from a friend) and I assumed they'd be on the EE as well. Too bad for me!! The best time to buy it is its release week (dirt cheap) or about 5 years after it comes out (way too long). So decide whether you are going to buy it well before August 26th. Otherwise you'll have to spend $22.99 for it (current price at Target for FOTR...arghhh, I'm waiting out the 5 year period). So if you decide to rent it you'll probably end up renting it two or three times before the EE comes out...almost enough to actually buy the DVD. I know this cuz my friend constantly rents movies...even when she is absolutely positive she is buying the DVD. She rented How to Lose a Guy twice before she bought it...about a week and a half after it came out! Complete waste of money. Stores are just as close as Blockbusters. In fact...don't Blockbusters even sell new ones anyway?! Ugh.....

Guys !!! Why Do You Argue ???

It's Only 26 Euros-Dollars And You Keep It For Life For Your Own!!!

Not 6 Dollars Per Week To Rent It !!!

That Idea REALLY SUCKS !!!

As For LOTRfan My TV Does The Same Thing !!!

You Can Choose Between Seen Anything In Widescreen Or Fullscreen !!!

Now That I Have Seen The Trailer Of The Return Of The King (Not Exactly A Trailer) Yesterday I Feel Even Luckyer That I Have Pre-Paid For The TT DVD Which Comes Out In 25 Days. I Wanna See The 10 Minutes Preview And The Teasers Of The Return Of The King Inside VERY BADLY !!!!!!
