i'll admit that it was scary because my friend and i was sitting in the third row (stadium seating), just seeing it that close and the sound effects and all, whoa.

Depending on which movie your talking about...
I saw Ringu first, and that scared me for a whole week or two afterwards just because the movie was THAT scary.
Then I saw The Ring (remake), and I wasn't that scared. Maybe because I had already seen it's predecessor and it was just a rehash, or maybe because it tidies all the loose ends up too nicely, but it just didn't scare me that much.

Same as "Alexander JL"- found RINGU to be quite an experince...........................nearly fell asleep in the remake, no tension, no ambiguity and all teh scares are telegraphed in ahead of time.

The Remake scared me alot more than Ringu. So... the vice versa of Ronin and Alexander's opinion :p Though I actually did see Ringu first.

I didn't find it scary. I liked the whole sort of psychological take on it. I've yet to see Ringu.

THe Ring was teffifying IMO (i get scared easily so i dont watch horrors)
i have a problem now when i see static on t.v. and you know those times when you hit your off button on the t.v. but you accidentally hit it twice without knowing and it pops back on well after seeing that the first few times of that happening i jumped:p

I voted "Kind Of", because neither version “scared me”... but both have great atmosphere and are genuinely creepy films.

I would classify that film as spooky or creepy rather than scary. It had a few moments, but I didn't exactly hear any screams coming from the audience.

no. i didn't find it scary. the good part about it was when the girl came out of the t.v. that was the best part.

I think both the original and remake have good atmosphere. I watched Ringu first, and I was interested yet not chilled until...
Ringu has an scarier ending then the remake...

I think The Ring wasn't extremely scary but had scary moments, the atmosphere in it was extremely creepy. My phone rang while I was halfway through it and scared the bejesus out of me LOL!!

I would have LIKED to been scared but alas, it did not happen. I DID jump at one scene tho.
I thought the ending was a total cop out, to leave it open to make a sequel. That was just wrong, IMO.
SF
I thought this was more creepy than scary. The only parts that scared me were the ending with the tv and when they showed the dead girl's face near the beginning. Also the distorted looks of the victims on the cameras were also very creepy.

there's just something about a drug made by an amateur chemist thats just not appealing. i only do drugs that god put on this earth. try shrooms, they are much more fun.
i thought the ring (ringu too) was the most original horror flick to come out in a long time. no that scary though, neither of them.
