AI - 10/10

God I love this movie. I had it as my number 1 film of 2001 over Fellowship of the Ring and I always wondered in hindsight whether or not I still felt the same way. Well, after watching it again tonight I can say YES, I do like this movie more than Fellowship. I would put AI in my all time top 10 list and think that only Schindler's List and maybe Close Encounters are superior Spielberg films. AI just has so many memorable moments and inspires such a sense of wonder. Aside from the great performances by Frances O'Connor, Haley Joel and Jude Law, it was Teddy that really got to me in this movie and I love how he is made such an integral part of the proceedings. On a technical level this film excels boasting some of the most astounding visual effects in cinema history (the sequences in a submerged Manhattan are breathtaking and utterly convincing). Truly brilliant stuff.

The puppet people never attacked in the movie, they only danced, sang, acted in a puppet show and, eventually, ran from the man who shrank them.

Jedi had the changes in SW trilogy that bothered me the most, Hayden's Anakin ghost was too distracting and out of place, the Sarlaac didn't need the squid like beak and the new song performed in Jabba's Palace was pretty bad. I never saw the SE of this film.

Terror was pretty good, it starred Jack Nicholson and Boris Karloff. It was the first colour movie on the 50 Horror movie set and the shadows looked chocolate brown instead of black. Zombies was boring and Gila was awful but funny.

I never saw the SE of ESB but I enjoyed the updates on that one, including the altered Vader/Emperor scene and Boba Fetts' new voice didn't bother me the way I expected it too.
