That's great!!! One of my favorite movies will be released on DVD. The two-disc special edition, includes more than eight hours of unbelievable bonus features like six multi-angle scene studies, enhanced viewing mode, HBO First loos Special, Kingpin featurette, commentaries, some music videos of Evanescence, Fuel and The Calling, and much more! The release date is July 29th!
But I already pre-ordered mine at amazon.com! And for a low price, I saved more than $10 bucks.....hehehehehe
I pre-ordered mine in Full Screen Edition

Full screen? Why did you get full screen? If you get widescreen you can see the whole movie.

Did any one ever think he doesn't have a Widescreen TV? Why get a Widescreen DVD if you can see it right on the TV?

You don't need a widescreen TV to watch a widescreen DVD. Who told you that?

Ignorant fool. You can still watch Widescreen films WITHOUT the Widescreen enhancement. Please go slap yourself thrice and feel better.

Yes I knew that I don't have a Windscreen TV but all or most my DVDs are Windscreen. It just means that some of the stuff is pushed off the screen. I may be able to change that but that would mean reading the DVD player's manual and that's not happening.

Therefore, losing 40% of the image the director intended for you to see. Again, slap yourself once more.

I'm going with the theory if I don't change it and keep complaining to my mum I'll get a Windscreen TV for Xmas. She's stupid when it comes to technology, she fall for it.

I'm thinking of getting the widescreen version since it has a better picture.

Here I've been surfing the web for opinions on the movie/DVD as I do really want to see Daredevil -- so many people on the web have passionate opinions about it, positive and negative that I'm very curious about it... but I wasn't sure I wanted to pay for it -- and you up and handed me the answer! ;)
LOL! I'll let my bro buy it, and I can watch it July 29! :)
:) THANKS! :)
(Uh, here's hoping my bro doesn't happen to check this board. :) )
BTW, where are ya'll finding DVDs coming out at $15. On rare occassions one will start at $15 near me, but usually they start at $19.99 or $21.99 and I have to wait a few months for them to come down the $15 I prefer to pay.

now i've heard (read) that there's going to be a director's cut released in december. anyone know any info about this being true or not? it would really make sense since they said there was lots of film cut for time restraints and the pg-13 rating. let's be honest, the film made very little sense if you weren't a comic fan and already knew the story. i found myself explaining it to more than one person. adding the lost 15 or so minutes would do wonders for the story's flow. all in all i still liked it though.

what did you have to explain? i don't know anything about the background of daredevil but is understood it.
P.S does anyone know bout the directors cut cos i rather get that then the one being realised now. there's a whole subplot involving matt defending coolio for a crime he didn't commit.

The director said it'd come around Christmas-time, but not too sure on that. It's not exactly the director's decision, is it? Fox could even hold it off until DD2 or the Elektra movie.

Considering that they show Daredevil's dad being killed in the first 20 minutes of the movie...I don't think so.

I understand what you're saying...perhaps they needed a fill-in for that scene, the father happened to be around the set, so they threw him in a costume and had him do the insignificant part. Not entirely unheard of before. I did notice he looked pretty similar.

If you ask me, it should be a law for 1 movie DVD to require both Widescreen and Full Screen. I get tired of renting DVDs that only have Widescreen. Alot of people don't have widescreen TVs.
