View Full Version : Spolier Rehab
I have chosen to remain spoiler free for Episode III. I read WAY TOO many spoilers for AOTC and it ruined any chance of surprise reguarding characters, action sequences and so on. We all know pretty much what happens, but I want to be surprised as to HOW IT HAPPENS....

I can't resist spoilers. I've tried and failed many times. Except for Identity. I never got a chance to see it in the theatre, so I have to wait for DVD, but I don't know really anything about it.

i said the same thing the day after i saw AOTC, i thought to my self i'd go into the last SW film as a clean slate, but i've since realized that i am a die hard spoiler junkie, i can't get enough of the stuff:D
plus i couldn't go without running out and getting all the merchandise when it comes out 2 weeks before the film is released

I'm with you JAE!! I completely ruined (or "spoiled") AOTC for myself. I knew exactly what would happen before I saw it... what's the fun in that??
I remember watching ROTJ on its opening day-- no spoilers at all! That was far more fun. When Luke asked Yoda, "I need to know, IS Darth Vader my father?" I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the answer.
Another interesting thing about ROTJ and ESB-- I actually thought Luke might be killed. Remember the exchange between Yoda and Ben in ESB:
"That boy is our last hope"
"No, there is another"
Well, I thought, what's the point in introducing the possibility of another hope? Maybe Luke dies and they need to turn to their other hope as one last shot to save the galaxy. Ahhh... to be spoiler free!

I stay about 90% spoiler free thank God.
I was at 100% for Episode 1, but then I saw the soundtrack the day it came out. I made the mistake of looking at the back..."Qui-Gon's Death" - I was soooo pissed!
For Episode 2, I was doing really good, but a few times Theforce.net goofed and forgot the spoiler warning and a few times I accidently highlighted the hidden text when I tried to scroll down.
For Episode 3, I'm not even going to TFN's Episode 3 page.
SPOILER FREE FOR EPISODE 3!!!
Hows you're spoiler Rehab going?
Have you been true to your word? I must say that things are going well for me. I have resisted the temptation to highlight and read juicy tidbits of spy reports, thus ensuring I will be completely entertained by EPIII. Its been tough, but I haven't fallen off the wagon yet!
"Spoiler Free For Episode Three!!"

I've been very good...BUT I have learned one or two unwanted things because some people/places don't seem to know that some of us are tring not to know!

I have mixed feelings about spoilers. Spoilers are like your grandmas chocolate chip cookies. you cant resist them.

I ended up HATING episode II because I read the novelization first and then got pissed off that not all that was in the novel was in the movie. I won't make the same mistake for EP III. I've already heard a couple spoilers, but only mild ones. Ironically I've been saying spoiler free till ep III for years now.....but I never seem to make it. This time I will not fail.
:) I am still spoiler free for Episode III!! I have managed to avoid the major stuff this week!! :)

I've stayed relatively spoiler free. I've heard a couple of things in Spy Reports (couldn't resist!), but some of them are very vague and we all knew they would happen anyway, and others sound a little too far fetched for me to take seriously. I really think it's too early, and a lot of the Spy Reports on Force.net aren't valid. Still, I'm trying to stay away (yeah, yeah, I know... there is no try. Just do it or shut up and stop pretending.)
