Now I am leading another battle in the SW forum. That is more technical because we to come up with storylines that fit the battles.

well, what i was wondering, is if your impressions on IV, V, and VI have changed, now that you've seen I and II.

do you see the characters differently?

i thought about it, when david and i were watching a new hope the other day. we got part way through jedi stricks back before we had to stop for the day.

i remember seeing those movies at the theater, so clearly, it could have been yesterday. i only got to see them once at the theater too.

For me, with the prequels all the questions i had about Anakin are being answered.

There is a scene in ep II that really connected with original SW and showed how evil Darth Vader really was.

I saw the origianls on the big screen, not the SE's. The originals, at a film festival in palm springs a long while back.

Yeah it could get very technical, luckily LoK and TORNADO come up with some great stuff for storylines and it is very easy to build off of them. Which is what is required for the game.

Speaking as someone who frequents faires, I can honestly say that I don't speak long enough to cast members to find out their characters back story.

I could tell who's who. A sailor, beer maker, blacksmith, etc.

my sign reads, "Mistress of the Knight"

i always get chuckles with this, and women ask to have my picture taken with their husbands/boyfriends. it's fun

my background story on my sign changes depending on if i have a young audience or older...

if they're kids, i just say that my husband has grand ideas, and that he takes himself to be a knight. he's on a mission looking for a dragon... i've gathered these dragon tears, in hopes of bringing him home soon... (the dragon tears are pieces of smooth pretty glass drops) i then give the kid (as long as they wont put it in their mouth) one of the stones...

i ask them to keep the look out for more stones, because that will surely bring my husband home to me...

the kids LOVE THIS...

this is a good find. reminds me a little of the firestone double barrel amber ale that i like to drink.

thanks for the recommendation guys!

That's why I feel so bad. I feel like I ruined my sisters birthday.

I feel sad because this person and her family have gone through so much already.

I feel upset because I saw them at the oscar parties and everything seemed fine. Everyone was in good spirits. I did not see DARN clue to any of this.

depending on who she is (and i wouldn't *dream* of asking... we'll find out soon enough, and you would never say out of respect for her and her family) will determine the presses reaction.

luckily, if the press has proved consistent in anything, it's that the bad press doesn't last for long. there's always some new tidbit catching their attention. look at what hugh grant weathered and survived.

i just hope they don't put added stress on her.

Todays been good Moose, it just really sucks when you make a lot of preperations and its for nothing. Someone going to the same concert drove out form Texas to Cali. to see it, I guess mine wasn't that bad.

i'm gonna go and watch the rugby game that's on at the moment. last i saw, my team was winning by 17-7. hopefully we can extend our lead. (we're playing the top team in the competition, so it'll be really cool if we win)

I feel sad because this person and her family have gone through so much already.

I feel upset because I saw them at the oscar parties and everything seemed fine. Everyone was in good spirits. I did not see DARN clue to any of this.

i'm sure your sister will forgive you. you're loyal and supportive to your friends.

and there's *NO* way you could have known there was anything wrong. please don't waste anytime blaming yourself, or thinking you could have changed the outcome... people that have substance abuse issues are very clever about hiding those issues... you couldn't have changed anything.

what you *can* do, is let her know that you still support her. that you'll be there for her. that will be important. she's going to feel embarrassed, alone, confused. it will be the small things, like her friends remaining loyal, that will mean the most to her.

Man Jedi I really hope your friend comes out of the rehab okay, it can really change you, and not necessarily for the best. It really comes down to how much the person really wqant's to quit what they are doing, not just what others wan't to do. Sadly it sometimes takes a person to get to the lowest point before they make that decision to change their life.

the one upside i think might come from this, is given who her family is, the media isn't going to give this a lot of attention. they'll look at it more of a "yeah, you're surprised??" ....

had it been one of the fellowship (my original fear) it would have made banner headline news ... for days, weeks or more. this (given her family history) will be more like a footnote..

people just aren't surprised when it comes to things like this with them...

the old adage, walk in someone's shoes, comes to mind.

it's easy for people to look from the outside in, and think, "what's wrong with them... they have *everything*!"

*and not just with this family, that attitude happens all over*

until you live their life, face their fears, you have *no* business passing judgment.

That is what worries me. People are going to try to judge. Yes her family has a history, but THEY ARE NOT HORRIBE PEOPLE.

no, they're not. they're human. that tv show is edited to only show certain sides of their personalities. (like any of the reality show) the producers show what they want to show...

And I asked her, Kerry.

I asked was everything going alright and she said things were great. And I believed.

besides, there's more important things going on in the news right now.

that girl that faked her own kidnapping will be center stage for a while now.

i can't imagine what was going on in her head, that she would put her family through a nightmare like that...

i hope she gets counseling...

It may be true in some cases, but there was references to drug use, one episode showed Jack with coke on his shirt.

honey, of course she was going to say things were just dandy....

there was *nothing* you could have said or done. her own family was living with her, and it took the threat of exposure in the tabloids for them to know about it...

{{huggzz}}

there was nothing you could have done.

your best gift to her now, will be your gift of friendship. letting her know that this doesn't change how you feel about her (other then wanting her healthy) and that you still care for her.

We all do Necross, as I said before I hope she is doing this for herself because that is the only person who can make that decision in their life.

you guys let me go on and on last nite. stuff that i'd been upset with for a while. it felt better getting it out there.

vent if it makes you feel better. we'll be here to listen~
