I just tried to watch ladykillers. Couldnt do it. I should know better than to try to watch something with Marlon (any) Wayans in it. Easily one of the worse movies Tom Hanks has been in. But that is just my little opinion. Have to try to forget it by coming here.

Not yet, but we get to go on a field trip the middle of October down to Ashland to see a matinee play of one of Shakespeare's plays. Stay for two nights in a hotel, see a show or two, etc. etc.

Nice. And yeah, it should be fun. A late night Shakespeare play. I can't wait.

That wouldn't by chance be the Ashland shakespeare festival, my uncle took me there a few years ago. It was pretty cool, shakespeare first two days, river rafting last day.

Well, i dont know whats going down in the GD, but i just finished the first week of school and some classes i'm really worried about, mainly honors english just because it will be a lot of reading, but it wasn't too bad just yet.

I also got to go to Ameoba today, and got 5 CD's for 40 bucks: Rage Against the Machine (self titled and battle of LA, been on my list for too long) Swingers soundtrack, vice city rock cd, and tool: Opiate. I meant to get ok computer, but my friend put it back when he went to see if there was a used copy so i didnt get it. I was going to get Yojimbo and Sanjuro today also, but even at Ameoba they were pretty steep. I also got the garden state soundtrack a few days ago, and its fantastic, although i cant get one of the songs out of my head.

I will watch anything. I may not like it but I will try to watch it. I really like period films, fantasy, sci-fi, action.

Not so much anything oriental, and slasher films are ok too, as long as it doesnt involve gutting someone (like scream)

Mysteries are cool too, as long as they arent dead giveaways from the start, throw in a good, but concievable, twist somewhere.

In general, pretty much anything! :P

If you like mysteries see The Third Man, one of my favorite movies of all time. another good movie with a lot of fantastic twists is Charade, with Cary Grant. if you havent seen either of those, they're excellent. Some other ones off the top of my head that are great are Lady from Shanghai, Out of the Past, LA Confidential, Usual Suspects, The Killers. You've probably be seen some of these, but just in case.

Not much of a scifi guy myself. As for action, see the Lord of the Rings movies, theyre fantastic ;)

and if you want to go out, go out and see Garden State

This is so cool! I finally bought a cordless phone! Yep, no more being "tied" to the kitchen counter for me everytime I want to talk to someone. It is kinda my first one ever.

Well, it has this cool feature, where you can download .midi files and convert them to code to program in to use as ring tones!

So far I have Hedwigs theme from HP and am now looking for LOTR tones!

Wait till my hubby hears this, he thinks I am crazy already, what with the movie logos and sounds on my computer already (suck as new line start up and thx shutdown it sounds like a movie house, well, in my house!):P

While I DO think that it was better than CTHD, I do think that it was a bit tiresome at points, and I nearly fell asleep towards the end. All the fights were too similar for my interests IMO, but, not a terrible movie I suppose.

I completely agree mate. But, (once again in my opinion) it was just too dialogue filled for my liking. That, and a big part of what makes a fight "cool" is the music, which I thought was terribly lacking.

But hey, if you like it, that's great! I'm not going to fight your opinion, because, it's exactly that. An opinion. :)

Agreed, its great staying up. A few years ago my friends and i would always try and pull off an all nighter everytime we had a few of us spending the night somewhere. The worst thing would be that near the end, we wouldn't be enjoying it, and just be doing it for the sake of staying up. The closest we got was 6:30, and at that point i looked out the window and saw a jogger go by and thought, oh damn am i going to be tired.

We would have slept in till 3 maybe but his brother woke us up at 9 for breakfast, needless to say i was a zombie for the rest of the day.

And Tornado i fully agree with you that a fight depends a lot on the music, Matrix being a great example, but i thought the music was really fitting to all the fights in hero. I thought it was really cool that they had soft music going during the fights, i think if they were blaring Rammstein or techno, it just wouldn't have had the right mood. but again, i can see that people would find it boring that the climax is basically just a conversation. glad you liked the cinemotography.

I think he is. He has to realize in the back of his mind that there is no way Miami will win a title this year or even the next. They don't have the supporting cast. I think the lakers will win a championship before Miami does.

True, he wont win a championship. Thats to say nothing about the other fringe benefits he loses now that he is not in LA. For example, being amongst the movie stars, being with an organization serious about winning, the climate and of course Jack Nicholson. :D

I think Kobe knew that when Karl and Gary P came to the team, it would be an uphill battle for a championship. You can't run a triangle offense with GP and The mailman. These guys have to be able to run. I think that is why Kobe, though he doesn't admit it, he wanted Phil out. Unfortunatley it backfired because GP is gone and who knows about Karl.
