i've only been able to read it through once.

I've got it on cd (the unabridged version) but i've only listened through it about half way. this was my least favorite of the series so far.

yeah, i was disappointed too.

i got pretty tired of hearing the teenagers on HP forum, spout out how "accurate" it was for Harry's angst...

yeah. i get it. i was 15 once myself. life sucks. it wasn't just his irrational anger. *although that *really* got old to me* (he'd be mad at the wrong people, for the wrong reasons) it was the whole thing with dumbledore. after the 4 yrs. harry has spent getting to know these people, it should have been obvious that there was something up with dumbledore not looking at him, talking to him. it was *so* out of character, and instead of harry asking *why*... he just got pissed. it didn't work for me. there were parts i enjoyed. i liked how they did the dada on their own. i *loved* how much stronger Neville came. He just grew so much!!! even his grandmother would be proud of him.. :)

LOL I was just talking about the show Animal Face Off, in which they construct robotic animals, test them, and then use virtual reality to see who will win. So far they have done. Elephant VS Rhino, Elaphant won, Croc. VS. Great White Shark, Shark Won, Lion VS Tiger, Lion won (I completely disagree, the computer said the lion's mane would preven the tiger's teeth from crushing his next, BULL****), Hippo VS Bull Shark, Hippo won, I think next week its, Polar Bear VS Walrus.

Good idea with keeping the story on the "down low."


We were paddling pretty far out. I thought I saw something, then my friend he saw it to. Then the debate happened, I said shark, he said "you always say shark..." "looks like a dophin."

It started coming closer and we saw that scary shape that only sharks have. It wasn't huge, but was "good size."

Not too bad, everything is actually very educational and the fight at the end is in bad computer graphics and isn't all to shocking, but I was upset when the Lion beat the Tiger (tigers are my favorite animal), I honestly think that mane thing was bullcrap, how can some fur protect against the lion crushing his throat, I think since they put the mane into the computer as a strength, it gave it too much unrealistic leverage.

that show reminds me of something i read in the latest FHM mag...

some guy said they have videos that introduce kids to classical music, but i'm not interested in that stuff, so why should my son be. i like hunting, and thus "little hunter" was born. it's a video that helps 9-36 months olds learn about the game animals through the use of puppets.

he says the only connection to hunting is at the end of the movie, the viewer sees a little deer and a voice-over says, "happy hunting" then you hear a gun click. the deer disappears. but s the credits roll, it reappears as a steak.

oh. my god. my head nearly exploded when i read this....

When it did get close...

Well let me explain real quick:


If you see a shark, the worst thing you could do is start paddling franticly, they will think you are food and then you got a problem.



When it did get close, we put all limbs on our board, nothing dangled in the water. Luckily the tide was going toward the sand rather than carrying us out. So we just floated and kept watch over it. It then went back out into the distance.

i've heard that before, about the action in the water gets them all jacked up...

still... hoo boy. sitting on those boards, bobbing in the water... even with my toes all accounted for, i don't know if i could just sit there.

When you are out there, you to have to remember that your board can be a weapon. Not much of a weapon, but it provides a barrier between you and the shark. If gets "really really close," go for the eyes.

Another short cut I uses is when I get a dark colored shirt and it has some lint on it. Instead of using those sticky brushes, I throw it in the dryer with two dryer sheets, make sure the lint filter is clean, turn the thing on AIR and hit start. :)

Baby waves are cool when you are "cruise surfing" or just starting out. Though they tend to lose their fun after awhile and you have to go bigger. :cool:

funny, i started watching it back during the olympics in the early 80's when the USA took the gold.

i used to go to games with my best friend, Kathy, when i lived in So. CA back then...

the odd's were something like 100 guys to every girl in the audience... ;)

I have always been a lakers fan, my father is a huge laker fan. Though hockey has been my sport of choice in which to play.
