I really love this forum...glad i found it because now i can chat about new horror stuff.. onto TCM remake...

Not only is it COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY...they have totally RUINED Leatherface...Leatherface looks all menacing and demon-like in this picture. he's not supposed to look cognizant of his evil-ness and i think in this picture at least they are trying to make him more of a bad guy killer type when leather face was always (at least in the first 2 movies) like this wild messed up retarded dude with a far more ambiguous looking mask (i.e. no cheesy dark eyeshadow to make him look more monsterous like this one has). does anyone agree with this? leatherface kills because he doesn't know any better. this 'new' leatherface looks cheesy and made up to be all scary and menacing on purpose...yuck.

I felt kinda sorry for leatherface in TCM, this one i think is okay just not brilliant, the film doesnt need to be made, should be left well alone.

I agree... This Leatherface looks more like something you'd see at an amusement park rather then in TCM. His face looks like a Hollywood prosthetic. The original mask had a disturbingly realistic simplicity that this is lacking. I don't really see the point in this film other then to reinvent a franchise for money purposes only.

I don't think he looks that bad, but if they were gonna tinker with him they should have kept the simple minded look on him.At least he's not cross dressing.Thank god!!!!
As for the 'saw, I like it but I love the one he used in "LEATHERFACE TCM III",
that was a beauty."The saw is family", How great was that?

Totally agree. The original looked like a real psyco with a mask of human skin. That's what made it so scary. This looks like hollywood.

TOTALLY RUINED LEATHERFACE! Why are they even remaking it? The first one ruled, they can't top it - especially with a bad guy that looks like a fricking clown. The first leather face was a respectable villian, this ones just dumb.

I didn't like the new Leatherface that much. With his bulky appearance and those clothes of his he looked like to much like Jason!!!!!!!! (however, the mask did look better then the original Leatherface's :D)
