Does anyone know why South Park has sucked for that last couple years? I still watch it religiously but I haven't seen anything good on it in quite some time. Who's writing it? Is it just me or do the voices of Cartman, Stan and Kenny sound like someone new is doing them?
lechuck13
05-05-2003, 04:40 PM
A) no, it's still Trey and Mat doing the voices.
B) sucked? Are you kidding? Season Six was the best season yet! I mean, "The New Terrance and Philip Movie Trailer," "Fun with Veal," "Simpsons Already Did It," "Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society," "Child Abduction is Not Funny," "A Ladder to Heaven," "The Biggest Douche in the Universe," "My Future Self 'N Me"... so many great episodes!

The LOTR porn episode was classic. I'm not sure what season that's from but it has to be from one of the last couple.
Butters playing the gollum character and falling into the video drop box.....f'n great!

Just kinda thought they were ho-hum..... Not as good as "Cartman gets an Anal Probe" "Damien" "Pinkeye" "An Elephant Makes Love to a Pig" and such.....
The show just has seem to have lost it's cleverness and going for pure shock.
You're just a negative nancy arent you. Almost all your posts are negative. Why?
I love South Park.

Lord of the Rings: Return to the Two Towers, aired in the 6th season. I think the last couple seasons, they began to control the level of swearing. But, I think they are still good...or the episodes I saw 6th and 7th season that is.

I thought the episode where they were playing detectives was hilarious. What about the one with the baby calves....I laughed harder on the later episodes than I have on the old ones. Don't forget Krazy Kripples, man that episode had me rolling.

The first three seasons were great, but it severly dropped in quality afte "the 4th Grade." This latest season was definatly the worst season yet. Why'd they bother to bring back Kenny if he's just going to stand around and do absolutly nothing. I have no problem with him not dying anymore, but at least let him play some sort of role. Either use him or kill him off again!

A great adventure is waiting for you ahead.
Hurry onward, Lemmiwinks, or you will soon be dead.
The journy before you may be long and filled with woe
But you must escape the gay man's ass so your tale can be told.
Lemmiwinks. Lehehemiwinks Lemmiwinks Lemmiwinks-
Lemmiwinks journeyed a distance far and fast.
To find his way out of a gay man's ass.
The road ahead is filled with danger and fright
But push onward, Lemmiwinks, with all of your might.
The Sparrow Prince lies somewhere way up ahead.
Don't look back, Lemmiwinks, or you'll soon be dead.
Lemmiwinks, Lemmiwinks, the time is growing late
Slow down now and seal your fate.
Take the magic helmet torch to help you light the way.
There's still a lot of ground to cross inside the man so gay.
Ahead you lies adventure, and your strength still lies within.
Freedom from the Ass of Doom is the treasure you will win.
Lemmiwinks has made it out and his tale is nearly through
Now that you're the Gerbil King there's more ventures to go on
Fly away to faraway lands and to the setting sun
There's still so many enemies and battles yet to fight
For Lemmiwinks the Gerbil King could be told a thousand nights
Lemmi- Lemmi- Lemmiwinks. Le- Lemmiwiiinks.
Lehhmiwinks, Lem- Lem- Lemmiwinks
Lemmiwinks, Lemmiwinks, Leh-miwinks

Being a Christian, I wasn't the least bit offended by that epsiode the other week, and in fact loved most of it. So much of it was true, and Cartman's stereotypes were hilarious, as was the ending. If there wasn't so much cursing, I'd love to show this in our church. The King of the Hill episode last week where Bobby joins an "extreme youth group" was also great. I like these things not because they make fun of Christians, but because they're true way too often, and Christians need to wake up and say, Hey, am I really like that? I need to wake up and start reallly living... People rant and rave that shows like these reinforce bad stereotypes, but to that I say that people have these stereotypes because they're true, and again, WAKE UP! Only you changing will stop stereotypes like these... There's no one right way to be a Christian, but there's a difference between true faith and passion and all the crap and hype that people go with in modern Christianity...

I thought it was a good one. The portrayal of the "raisins" girls was dead on with the girls that work at Hooters. Plus the goth people were pretty funny.

I dont like how recently the scripts have focussed primarily on current events. season one was just random and absurd. now, when i want to know what south park's new episode is gonna be about, i can just WATCH THE NEWS. anything getting lots of time will get covered. now i love satire as much as the next guy, but damn, trey and matt aren't the best satirists, they're just too heavy-handed with it. stick to the absurdism of "anal probe."
best S.P. ever: the first season where the bus falls in the river and the kids talk about past episodes, but keep getting the facts wrong, and there's a monster. i mean, that's just so crazy, it makes no sense, its not trying to 'make a point,' its just great.

Yea, I like that episode. They always have ice cream at the end of a flashback. The funny part is when the parents are posting up signs, you see a sign with Macually Cualkin (sp?)on it and it says, "have you seen this child?" Really funny.

Yeah that line was great.
That episode was hilarious. Butters was great I'm glad they base a lot of episodes around him (that's three in the past four). The part with the pill up th"anus" was one of the funniest parts this season. That and when the scientist was shot and he started pulling out his organs.
BTW what did happen to leminiwinks?

AWESOM-O was hilarious. Unfortunately, I missed the VERY beginning of the show. And I totally forgot about Lemmiwinks until my friend pointed it out today. What happened?
