She's either the next step in kitty-evolution or she's going to take up hitchhiking as a hobby ;)
PS:She don't look too impressed with the toys - try her with a pitted black olive, mine loves 'em plus they can eat 'em afterwards :)

She's been spayed, had all her shots, tested for kitty diseases and she has a microchip in her neck. All for $55.

That is so cool. I got my dog from there. You should really be proud that you did that. You saved a animal. Sorry, I just really think that more people should get their pets from their. We had to have our dog neutered, but he was already house trained. I really couldn't imagine having to house train a dog.
But I can also understand why you would want to get a puppy or kitty from a pet store as well......

I am very proud.
There are 3 shelters in my area and I knew for sure I would get her from one of them. :D
I just feel bad for the older kitties because I know its harder to find them homes. :( But I just had to put down a 12 year old cat so I didnt want to have to go through that for a very long time.

I've heard nothing but bad things about pet stores. I've read about it on the net and in cat books. The cats sometimes are sick, they dont interview the people that come to adopt. They just give them to anyone. They dont care for the animals very well at all. I heard once that at one store when the cats would get sick or close to dying they'd put them in a bag and stick them in a freezer  http://www.comingsoon.net/ubb/icons/icon13.gif

I have a feeling that my dog was abused by his previous family. He acts so scared of us sometimes when we aren't even mad at him.
The owner of Zoey surrendered her because she said "she bites" She hasnt bitten me at all. All cats bite if you play rough with them or touch their belly. This woman had kids. I dont think she knew much about cats and the kids were probly too rough with her.

The previous owners of my dog said he was destructive and that he would chew things up when they were away. But they didn't kennel train him. He hasn't destroyed anything he wasn't supposed to since we've had him. I think that they just didn't want him anymore.

She's adorable, Sicy. I'm glad you could give her a good home. I got all of my four cats from the local animal shelters. I got my tortoiseshell cat Ashes when she was given up because she's very tempermental, but she's like that by nature. I got Zeus, my little black male kitten because he "wasn't growning and they thought something was wrong with him." Big deal..he's the runt of the litter. What he lacks in size, he makes up for in attitude. The people that gave him up clearly didn't take him to the vet and have him checked out because there's physically nothing wrong with him, he's just little. Sebastian, my calico was found in a ditch half dead and nursed back by the animal shelter and Peaches (she doesn't live with my parents anymore, she lives with my little cousin) was just given up for no apparent reason. I love my kitties and when I move next week, Ashes is coming to live with me and my two dogs. Who needs roommates when you have animals? :p
That's awesome! I wish I could have 4 cats  lol.
I hate ignorant people  I hate people that give up their pets for stupid reasons. When you get a pet, you get it for life. There should be no returns. It makes me so mad.

I love my animals and Ashes is going to live with me because my parents can't handle her. :D She used to love to "fish" in the fountain I keep in my bedroom and I'll have that fountain at my apartment so she should be entertaining.
Ditto, it makes me really mad when people get rid of animals for stupid reasons. You get 'em, you keep 'em.

It's actually quite disturbing how many people don't realize pets are like children. They need care love and protection just like any other living thing. What drives me nuts is the people who get the pets that are "trendy". Think when everyone was buying Dalamtions when the moive came, not realizing they aren't that great with children. So off the the pound they go.:(
I think Zoey hates kids now. The landlords kid came to see her and tried to pet her and Zoey walked away from her. She never does that with humans. And when I crawl on the floor to her she walks away... like she doesnt like small people. I bet those kids were mean to her and that's why she bit them  She's been nothing but a sweetheart to me.

Silly bugger  awwwww :( that's the prize a cat has to pay for going outside. My cat can't go outside because we live on the 5th floor. Of course I feel bad about that, but at least she's not beaten up by other animals.
I'd prefer it if she could go outside though. It's part of a cat's nature to go outside and hunt and even get in fights with other cats ;)

One time I tried taking her for a walk“, but I had to have her in a leash so she wouldn't run off. I don't thinks she liked it at all though, and I overheard some people say "look at that poor pregnant cat" even though my cat's never been pregnant
Contrary to popular belief.. a cat lives just as happy indoors. Cats that go outside live 3/4 as long as cats that live inside. They are put at many risks.. catching diseases from other cats and whatnot, getting hit by cars, or running away and getting lost.
Sasha was only 12 when we had to put her down. If she lived indoors only I bet she would have lived till 15+.

Hehe...the "other" woman I was talking about not too long after you joined us in Community....SHE loves cats! :D
but like Ann she dosen't like "younger guys..."
I mean what's up with that? Just cause I'm younger dosen't mean I'm immature! *Kyle picks his comics off his GameCube, turns off Cartoon Network, and the Star Wars soundtrack coming from his Windows Media Player as he ponders this...* ;)
Buddy,
let me tell you: I'm 39, and I'm quite an "immature" person myself, but I'm damn proud of it! If you aren't hurting anyone, and you like who you are, then screw the rest.
I'm still into heavy metal from the 80's, I build monster model kits, watch Dragon Ball Z (my favorite) and I have hair hanging about 3 or 4 inches past my shoulders, and yes, I am into the BIG one, the major taboo with women: The 3 Stooges!!! And I visit toy stores at least twice a week to see what's new.
Also, I like Japanese monster films and retro-horror and sci-fi films and series. Non smoker, non drinker, and no drugs, but because of society's rant against long haired men, I still get labelled every now and then. Screw em'...
Trust me, Kyle-be yourself, and just take it day by day. You'll find someone who fits your likes someday, but until then, be you, and noone else. Be cool, brutha'! :)
I love how she stands! :funny: With her little paws turned outwards...

That's because we live in an appartment on the 4th floor with lots of windows and glass doors and stuff, plus most of the walls are white.

You know, when I see you sitting there you remind me so much of myself right now lol I'm wearing PJ pants and a white t-shirt too, plus I'm at the computer :funny:
