View Full Version : CS True Hollywood Story Movie Character Edition
Citizen Kane
02-20-2003, 05:56 PM
This is like the CS True Hollywood Story thread, but with movie characters instead of music stars and actors. The point is to find a character who is similar in personality to the poster. For example, if JBond were up, you would not just pick James Bond because of the name. You would maybe pick someone who shares common characteristics with jibbs. Whoever is picked can pick a character for themselves, if they like.
We can start with me. In terms of characters, I am personally somewhat similar to Charlie Kaufman from Adaptation. Sometimes I can be sort of like Raoul Duke, only without the drug problem.
So far we have:
Citizen Kane: Charlie Kaufman (Adaptation)
Citizen Kane

Here are the picture. Keep in mind that I do not physically resemble either. Seriously. I promise I'll post my actual pic a soon as is humanly possible.
Charlie Kaufman:

Raoul Duke:

Now, people. Which character do I remind you of? Please post!

I'll go with Charlie Kaufman because you do have a decent amount of him to your personality;)

I also would like to say that this was a damn good idea:applaud:

Now that I think about, I remind myself a bit of Barry Egan.

But I think I'm most like Charlie Kaufman.

I think I'll just call it with Charlie Kaufman for me. And now, the next person: Rogue.
Rogue reminds me of:

That......and the fact that I can't come up with anyone else.:p
I'm sticking with Justine Last (The Good Girl)..they both look alike..And the fact the character is a southern girl..Go figure..
Citizen Kane
02-21-2003, 06:26 PM
I'm still staying with Clarice. I'll tell you. Clarice Starling was a smart person, attractive, charming, and yet she held her ground. When she was pressured by men at the crime scene, she stood on her own two feet. And she took down Buffalo Bill all by herself. This combination of feminine qualities and bravery and passion reminds me of Rogue.
Citizen Kane
02-21-2003, 08:35 PM
And, of course, Clarice is Southern.
Citizen Kane
02-21-2003, 08:45 PM
Unless someone supports my Clarice idea or Link's Justine Long suggestion, we'll go with Laney. Who is that, by the way?
Rogue

Okay, Rogue is Laney Boggs from She's All That
So we have:
Citizen Kane: Charlie Kaufman (Adaptation)
Rogue: Laney Boggs (She's All That)
And next, everyone's favorite psycho...Madness!
I personally see Raoul Duke, whose the only maniac I can think of at this time.
Rogue
02-22-2003, 12:22 AM
Nope, I wasn't angry at all..I've just never thought I would have been compared to her on that level. :)

That's my curse. I can never compare people on a superficial level. I'm stuck with insight, so I tend to make complex connections, which is part of the reason that I compared myself to Charlie Kaufman.

I've done a bit of research. Crowe plays a character named Sid 6.9. So the battle is between:
Raoul Duke (Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas)
Mickey (Natural Born Killers)
Sid 6.9 (Virtuosity)
Citizen Kane
02-22-2003, 10:19 PM
Seriously, someone needs to vote so we can get on to Frizzo.
So my vote goes to Raoul Duke, for the 18th time. Oy. ;)

Duke: II
Mickey: II
Sid 6.9: I

Well maybe some
And it's said both ways because people are saying it wrong, if you COULD care less, then there is more room to care less and you do care a little bit ;)

Rogue: Laney Boggs (She's All That)
Madness: Raoul Duke (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas)

Jesus Quintana, see above.
Anyway, I guess Gonzo from the Muppets wins. I just can't see it (I'm still a supporter of the Dr.), but whatever.
Anyway, let's move on to our next victim: Caroline.
And after that one that should be a bit interesting...

Well, we picked someone for Frizzo (Gonzo (from the Muppets) which I still don't get), and now we've moved on to Caroline.
Here's what we have so far:
Citizen Kane: Charlie Kaufman
Rogue: Laney Boggs
Madness: Raoul Duke
Frizzo the Clown: Gonzo

So far it's:
Citizen Kane: Charlie Kaufman (Adaptation)
Rogue: Laney Boggs (She's All That)
Madness: Raoul Duke (Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas)
Frizzo the Clown: Gonzo (Muppet movies)
Caroline: Annette Hargrove (Cruel Intentions)
LOTR: ?????????????

I guess that makes LOTR the Rowan Atkinson stereotype. Seeing as his character in Rat Race is basically Mr. Bean with an accent, we should call it as Mr. Bean. And now we can move on to Longshanks. For some reason he always reminded me of Hugh Grant in About A Boy. Maybe it was because of the nice car he's leaning on Frizzo's Foto Album. Also, Longshanks sort of seems like the character, except without being shallow.
